He dissing J Balvin, a famous colombian reggaeton singer who has spoken some racist stuff before. J Balvin tried to start a boycott for the latin grammy awards because he stated that reggaeton artists were disriminated because they didn't have a grammy award for their own genre. Residente, who happened to be a reggaeton artist back in the days, called him out on IG because he got 31 grammys singing reggaeton so he straight told J Balvin that he had no talent, he didn't write his own lyrics, and that his music was like a hot dog cart, everybody likes it but when people want quality they go to a fine dine restaurant. That's the reason why he talks about hot dogs because J Balvin released a merch with designs of hot dogs and his name to make fun of Residente. J Balvin previously had a music video where he appears having two black women dressed as dogs by their neck with chains. He took down the video and apologized for it, he also mentioned in an interview that the first time he heard Daddy Yankee he thought he was black but when he found out he was white he thought he had a chance in the music industry. J Balvin also released a documentary about his life supposedly struggling with mental illness and he collaborated with pokemon and sponge bob that's why Residente mentions it. J Balvin IMO has no talent that's why he got a lot of hate, the man was the product of his dad who has some kind of influence in the music industry and that's how he got contacts to become an artists. He mentions a lot of names in the last part of the rap and those are names of people who struggled to make it in reggaeton because of their skin color. This diss IMO is one of the greatest up there with Ice Cube's - Vaseline. In the first part Residente starts talking about the industry, second part is about how untalented artists are now and he starts dissing J balvin in the last minute because people pay $500 to see J Balvin jump around with playback music. The third part is straight out diss to J Balvin. People love Resident because he always calls out corruption in different spanish speaking countries and wrote songs about it. When there was a huge protest a year ago in Colombia where Colombian people were dying because of the corruption of their govt and the police, Residente called them out, yet J Balvin being Colombian himself only posted an IG story praying, that's what he also talks about in the last part.

J. Balvin isn’t a “big guy” he is a singer who literally does wherever is ask to do. To the point to put two black women looking as a dog in one of his videos, and that’s awful! In Colombia we have a huge black ethnicity and the fact to see that as a Latin is embarrassing and discussing.

😂😂 J Balvin is not a big guy, he is just one more puppet of the music industry. Residente in the other hand is a one of the big ones he does give a F* he goes with whatever he wants to do or say. For example when he was singing on live with cafe Tacuba I believe was in one of the Grammys, Univision had told them not to mention the 43 students that were missing in mexico (which was a huge case in mexico they have never found those 43 students) and guess what he did? He mention them while he was performing.

This is a better translation for the ones that still don't get what's happening.. Verse 1: Residente] I'm a little uneasy as I keep an eye on the urban genre Looking over, like a alligator in the Nile River Adjusting a couple of pending accounts before Milo arrives Sitting on a chair under an umbrella, in a tank top With the dog biting my shoe Burping out tortillas and tostadas with butter Aiming at the horizon with a rifle without a scope As I speak to myself like Don Quixote With beer foam on the mustache Waiting for these hot dogs to come out of their recording booths Like a sprout, before their boat sinks But just like always, the shit always comеs out I'm ready to give it to thesе dumbasses until my cartridge runs out Today I'll knock down their marketing with a single pull Just like we knocked down the statues of Christopher Columbus I'm smashing this trash Like a rocker in the 80s breaking their guitar With Resi you shall get smeared Even my verses turned into alcoholics because there are too many bars I come from El calentón From Trujillo the drums sound in the street, ro-po-pom-pom There is no discussion, even my brother Don Knows that in rap there is only one King Kong Sending fire, this is White Lion, there is no game As in the times of Voltio and Tego You and I are not the same I don't believe in celebrities from digital platforms Nor in your whipped cream Billboards Nor in your Instagram stories, Dolce&Gabbana, and Cartier I only believe in my level And in the coal of my pencil sliding over the paper [Chorus: Residente] I'm doing this for fun For fun, for fun I'm doing this for fun For fun, for fun [Post-Chorus: Residente] Since I'm leaving now I'll take a couple with me before I go [Verse 2: Residente] Today I'm screwing the celebrity industry Until I break my bed's springs And when my bars spill, I fuck them with no pajamas Vertical and horizontal, like a crossword When it comes to diss tracks, I'm this era's most feared one For these losers, Spring isn't multicolored anymore Because wherever I throw a punchline, flowers stop growing You are tier-five artists That write less than a pen with no ink When they see me, they break down Pale white color like the fake teeth you put on When the cap with an [R] comes near The entire stage begins to smell like a communal farm Because these fake rappers become chickens With my rhymes, as I impose discipline like China My retina only sees heads rolling down the hill The French Revolution with the guillotine Burning showcases, I go to everything, I go to the top With a bottle, a towel, and gasoline, like Palestine I make it easy, like peeling tangerines Comfortable, like a seat as it reclines I'm Correa, Báez, and Lindor, a double play part of the routine This isn't Instagram, this is resolved in the recording booth I kill them even with my left and right tied up Singing nursery rhymes, jumping the rope There is no break for me to lose If I put you all in the blender, a shit smoothie will come out For a two-minute song you have twenty songwriters Even your managers are composers Five hundred dollars for a ticket, misters Just to be jumping like a dickhead dressed up in colors The Auto-Tune and playback is on These fools even sing with the mic off You can't be a leader, the champion of champions If they've written all of your songs for you A well-made hot dog is so delicious The thing is that it wasn't cooked by these liars These lazy asses are greedy They don't even take the plate to your table and they still steal the servers' tips And they're not ashamed, that's what's shameful The bees make honey, but the bear eats it You don't buy respect for being talented One thing is being an artist, the other is being famous Ah, there needs to be a cleanse A lot of delusion of grandeur, but barely any skills This has just begun And I'm still on my first beer [Chorus: Residente] I'm doing this for fun For fun, for fun I'm doing this for fun For fun, for fun [Post-Chorus: Residente] Since I'm leaving now I'll take a couple with me before I go [Interlude: Residente & Gabriel Cabra] Gabriel, is it okay like that? Mmm, the truth is that it's shit, man But if you throw at Balvin then I might like it No, not Balvin, man That asshole is just a chatterbox Okay, let's go [Verse 3: Residente] I'm going to downgrade to a chatterbox That sings to SpongeBob and Pokemon The copy of a clone, the Logan Paul of reggaetón That is shittier than cumming without an erection As they say around: "Josecito, you have no streets in you, that's why your knuckles are soft" With just a video I could bury this sucker And make him upload pictures with his dog This coward, young lamb, is like a vegan breakfast: he has no eggs The town is fighting, they're killing them And the man uploads picture of Ghandi praying Stupid liar, he acts spiritual Using mental health to sell a documentary You are faker than a hot dog with no ketchup or bread Faker than Luian's abs The man is so insecure That he has to announce through Instagram how much money he earns He doesn't understand values in life He has to get "loyal" tattooed because he forgets to be it That imbecile with hair dye Who put black women in dog chains around their necks A whitey that has lost his way So divine! Accepting his Afro-Latino award One day, he said he decided he wanted to do reggaetón, to be honest When he discovered Daddy Yankee was white My key, the worst of everything and the most serious thing Is that this asshole is racist and doesn't realize it History is going to slap you in the name of all those who picked cotton under abuse And another slap in the name of all those who have had to battle twice within reggaeton Myke Towers, Sech, ChocQuibTown, Rafa Pabön Don Omar, Ozuna, Arcángel, Tego Calderón They are a bunch that you thoughtlessly put under a drawer In your colorful rainbow there is no brown A sacrilege This rich white boy still doesn't understand fuckin' privilege But what would you expect from this loser? Raised by his dad, a frustrated influencer In Puerto Rico so that they'd give him respect in reggaetón He swallowed more milk than a condom For every ass he kissed, he jumped up a step Every day covered in a different color, like a chameleon What Ruben said, Resident holds his own "Even if he changes color, I will always know where he comes from" The chameleons are only out for their own belly button They even befriend their enemies Except for when it comes to a witness, business is business, partner, there are no friends in business My thing isn't business, we're different I put my heart out for music My Billboards are held by my people As well as my lyrics written on every banner to try to kick out a president I'm not the most famous in the entire circuit But I'll demolish your favorite rapper in twenty pieces What I said in "Calma Pueblo," I repeat With me, you eat even if you have no appetite I'm not doing this to give you advice Nor to abuse you, even if the competition is uneven Today I'm skinning you So the people buying the hot dog shirts feel stupid This is for the guys For the respect that everyone who writes deserves The Formula 1 are now tourists, they no longer run 'Cause I just broke the track, ah

OMG koala welcome to "bizarrap sessions" hahahaha bizarrap is an argentinian producer that produce these sessions with many artists (generally of the Latin urban genre). "El Residente" is a Puerto Rican artist who is well known for his lyrics that speak against the government, oppression and many social problems in latinamerica, he is the most winning artist of the Latin Grammys. For context, in this "bizarrap session" he´s speaking against the current music industry, especially Latin music, more or less explaining that it is no longer the same and that there is no "soul" in the songs, that the songs of urban artists have a hype of days but they are not memorable. Also, he gives a great beef to a Colombian artist called "J Balvin" but that's a another story, if you want I'll explain it to you. And welcome to latin music hahaha

Greetings from Colombia. Well, when he talked about the picture of Ghandi while people were being killed, in my country we were living very hard times and while Residente helped us to publish abroad the police abuses, Balvin just kept silent because somehow he supported the campaign of that government, that's why, although Residente is Puerto Rican, we feel him more Colombian than ever and probably the same thing happened in other Latin American countries like Mexico.

Residente is one of the GOATs of Latin rap although he subscribes himself more as an Urban Artist since he likes to no stick to just one particular genre. The industry has always had a beef with him and vice versa since he openly speaks about the dark aspect of the industry and the glorification of gangster rap and the sicario narco culture. He usually is a controversial figure since he usually speaks against social issues and because he's willing to meet with unpopular leaders people create a narative to downcast his image of painting him as sympathetic with the communist movement, to the point of featuring Julian Assange in one of his songs. He's the artist with the most Latin Grammys to date.

This is a pretty accurate translation I made of the lyrics, so enjoy) [Chapter One: In a place of La Mancha] I'm a little bit uneasy while I keep watch on the Urban genre, rearing the sight like a crocodile in the Nile River, settling a couple pending scores before Milo comes... Sitting on a chair under an umbrella, wearing a tank, with the dog BITING my shoes, burping tortillas with butter toasts, aiming at the horizon with an unscoped rifle. While I talk to myself like Don Quixote, with beer foam in the mustache, waiting for these hotdogs to exit the cabin like an outbreak, before their boat sinks, but as always the sh!t breaks out, I'm ready to hit these suckers until my shell runs empty. Today I pull down their marketing on a go, like we pulled down the statues of Christopher Colombus. I break these junks, like a rocker in the 80's breaking his guitar. With the Resi' you crap yourself. Even my verses became alcoholic... because there're too many bars! I come from the heat, from Trujillo (PR), the drums on the streets sound: "RU-PUM-PUM-PUM!" There's no discussion! Even my brother Don (Omar), knows that in the rap, there's only one King Kong! Sending fire! This is Wild Lion, there's no kidding. Like in the days of (Julio) Voltio with Tego (Calderon). You and I are not the same. I don't believe in the stars of the digital platforms, nor your billboards of cake cream, nor you Instagram stories about D&G and Cartier. I only believe in my level, and the carbon of my pencil... running over the paper! [Hook] I do this... To have fun To have fun To have fun Since I'm leaving right now... I'm taking a couple ones before I leave. [Chapter Two: My lyrics are my weapons] Today I bang the industry of fame, until breaking the bed springs. When my wording spills I bang them without pajamas, vertical and horizontal, like in a crossword puzzle. In the dissings... I'm the terror of terrors from this era, for these losers, the springtimes are no longer multicolor... because where I throw a punchline, the flowers stop growing! They're fifth-rate artists who write less, than a pen without ink. When they see me, decompose themselves pale white color... like the fake teeth they put in. When the cap with the [R] comes close to the entire stage, there starts to smell like a peasant farm because these fake rappers become hens with my rhyme, when I impose discipline like in China, my retina only sees heads rolling downhill, the French Revolution with the guillotine. Burning showcases, I go all in, going over, with a bottle, a towel and gasoline, like in Palestine. I do it easy like peeling tangerine, comfortable like a seat when reclines. I'm (Carlos) Correa, (Javy) Baez and (Francisco) Lindor, routine Double-Play. This is not through Instagram... THIS IS SOLVED IN THE BOOTH! I kill them tying my right and left hands, singing kid songs jumping the rope. There's no break that I lose. If I put them all into a blender, I get a SH!TSHAKE! Fo' 2 minutes of a song, they have 20 songwriters. Even the managers are composers. $500 for a ticket, gentlemen, to see them hopping like a jackáss dressed in colors! The Auto-Tune and Playback ON! These fools sing even with the microphone off. You can't be the leader, champion of champions, if they wrote all your FOKING SONGS! A well made hotdog is delicious. The problem is that's not cooked... by these liars. These bums are sweet-tooth. They don't take the dish to your table, and steal the waiter's tip! And they're not embarrased, that's the shameful thing. The bees make honey but the bear eats it. The respect is not bought by being talented. One thing's being artist, another one's being famous! There's a cleaning to be done. Much delusion of grandeur, little skill. This just begins, and I'm still with my first BEER! [Dialogue] - Residente: Gabriel. Is okay like this? - Brother: For real, it's pretty sh!tty, mf. But if you diss J Balvin, I may like it. - Residente: No! Not J Balvin, mf! A dummy, that mf! ... - Residente: Fine. Let's. [Chapter Three: The Knight of Mirrors] I'm gonna lower myself with a dummy, who sings to Sponge Bob and Pokemon. The copy of a clone, the Logan Paul of Reggaeton! This is lower than ejaculating without erection. Like they said to him: "Josecito, you lack of streets, that's why you have soft nuckles." With only a video I bury this calf, and I make him upload photos with his dog. This coward young lamb is like a vegan breakfast... without eggs (guts/nuts). The (colombian) people struggling, being killed (by government) and the guy uploads a photo of Gandhi praying. LYING JACKÁSS, pretends to be spiritual, using mental health to sell a documentary. You're more false than a hotdog without ketchup nor bun. More false than DJ Luian's abs! The buddy's so insecure, that has to be posting on Instagram of how much bux he earns. Doesn't understand the values of life, has to tatoo on himself, the "loyalty" word... because he forgets it! He's a jerk with hair dye who put on black women, dogchains on their necks. A white boy who lost his path. All a divine, accepting his Afro-Latino award. One day he said he wanted to make Reggaeton, being frank, after discovering that Daddy Yankee was white! My pal, worst and most serious thing, is this jackáss being racist and doesn't even know it. The history will slap your face at the name of all who, under abuse, harvested cotton. And another slap, at the name of all who've had to double-battle within Reggaeton: Myke Towers, Sech, Choquibtown, Rafa Pabon, Don Omar, Ozuna, Arcangel, Tego Calderon. They're a lot who, without thinking, you put under the drawer. In your colored rainbow, there's no BROWN! A sacrilege, this school white boy still doesn't understand the foking privilege. But what do you expect from this loser, raised by his father, a frustrated influencer. In Puerto Rico, to be accepted in the Reggaeton... he swallowed more load than a condom. By each blow he stepped a stair up, each day disguised with a different color like a chameleon. What Ruben (Blades) said, the resident still stands for: "Although you change of colors, I always know where you come through." The chameleons only look after their own navel. They become friends even with their enemies. Nothing but with this witness. "The business is business, partner. In the business, there're no friends." My thing's no business. We are different. For the music, I put my heart to the front. My billboards are held by the people, next to my lyrics on each banner to takedown a president! I'm not the most famous of the whole circuit, but I crack, in 20, your favorite rapper! What I said in "Calma Pueblo," I repeat: "With me, you eat, even though you have no apetite!" I don't do this to give you advices, nor abuse you even though this is uneven. Today I skin you, so those who buy your hotdog shirt... feel so jackáss! This is for the kids, for the respect all those who write deserve. The Formula 1's are as tourists, they race no more... because I JUST BROKE THE TRACK! [Final words] Well... I already took them.

residente, along with canserbero, daddy yankee and others, is one of the most legendary urban singers in latinoamérica and spain. he's known for his commentary on social issues. the beef is sent to j balvin, another popular reggaeton singer. like many others, I don't hate him personally, but this tiraera (beef) is so legendary I have to take residente's side! also, bizarrap is a very well known argentinian producer, who makes sessions with a lot of popular artists and underground ones who he then makes popular with his songs/beats. he's been a legend for a few years now, almost everything he uploads goes trending all over latam and spain, you should check his youtube channel out! ps: sorry for my english, I'm learning

In the first chapters he is fussing todays urban genre and bosses. The last chapter was to a specific person. The hook basically means that he is not even trying, that he is doing that casually just for fun. He is the Latin Eminem, but because he does not play by the rules set out, he is shut out of major platforms. He is very political. He speaks out to fight injustice. He is for the people. When 43 students were kidnapped (by the government) and disappeared after a strike in Mexico, he had been invited to the Grammys under the condition that he not speak about the kidnapping. While on stage, he took off his shirt to reveal another shirt underneath with the number 43 cut out. His songs have great rhymes and have great meaning behind them. In this session he used one of the best books ever written in Spanish (Don Quijote) to show the intellect behind the writing.

Residente is a real one, he and all the rappers he mentioned in the song: Daddy, Mike, Rafa, Sech, Tego, Vico, etc. They are all the heavy weights of the scene. You should look him up, he had the intro to one of his Solo albums made by Lin Manuel Miranda and was featured himself in the Hamilton Mixtape (Immigrants we get the job done). He is one of the most respectable artists in the spanish speaking world and his music solo and with Calle 13 is FIRE! 🔥🔥🔥 He is an artist in every sense of the word. He is dissing J Balvin because he does all he mentioned and the guy likes to punch above his weight to true artists even though his music is super commercial, he doesn't write, or sing. He goes out of his way to mess up the smaller artists too and is super fake, which really made him upset.

Bro, I don’t know if someone has already said this, but the channel belongs to Bizarrap (BZRP) and he does this seasons with many different Hispanic artists (for the most part). If Residente, the rapper, is a Puerto Rican rapper with a very long history. I think he’s thinking on retiring, or so he hints at in the song, so that’s why he’s getting all this out of his chest. I love to see Spanish speaking artists get recognition outside the Hispanic/Latino world. Keep up the great work, bro!

Residente is a legend! He’s the GOAT .no one messes with him cause he don’t sugar coat sh!t, zero fucks given. He’s actually banned on radio stations because of his political views but people still love him. He’s very talented, he won 31 Grammy’s (not been played on radio stations etc). Bizzarap it’s an Argentinian very popular/talented producer who comes up with different “sessions” of music but each one with different artist. Part 1 & 2 he’s basically bashing everyone in the music industry emphasizing that been an artist and been famous are two different things. Part 3 it’s dedicated to J Balvin … he went hard on the dude to the point he calls him racist, that he ain’t got balls, and to become famous he had to swallow a lot of come 🥴 Basically kissed everyone’s a$$He went mad hard on the dude. Apparently J Balvin portrays an image to the public but behind the scenes he’s a backstabber. Fun Fact: he’s donating all the money he’s making with the song to two mental health institutions.

aye Koala, i seen your comments, no one really explains whats going on. "Residente" is a Puerto Rican Urban Music hip hop artist. He composes music, he writes, he used to be part of a legendary group called "Calle 13" The context of this diss about J Balvin start with the Grammy's nominations. J Balvin doesnt really win a lot or gets nominated a lot. So he trashed talked the Grammys and wanted the music industry to boycott the Grammys because it was a corrupt industry only cheering for the few. Then Residente Tweeted that everyone that wins Grammys make products like a high class restaurant, and "all you do is make trash food in a hotdog stand", that the reason they win is not because of their political interest, but their artist talent. To what he always defend " one thing is to be an artist and the other is to be famous" or "million of followers but an empty stadium" or how he has very little KZfaq views or social media attention, BUT he fills and sells out all concerts. As evidence that if ppl fwy then you will be nominated. Which he also protests that everything in social media is a marketing stunt because these "dmbazzez" all they do is charge 500 for a ticket just so they can jump around like 1d10ts. To all this, J Balvin started posting about his metal health, and he even posted about his mom being apparently in the hospital, and even posted himself being on a hospital bed. So then Residente called everything off, because for him its all a game, he doesnt take it seriously unless someone directly insults him. Then J Balvin and Residente talked, and cooled off...but J Balvin was making merch and marketing stunts from the Hot Dog Stand Theme, so Residente started a secret diss while collaborating with Bizzarap, and SOMEHOW JBalvin found out, and asked Residente to stop the collab, and Residente wanted J Balvin to stop the Hot Dog theme meme. Residente says that J Blvin begged, so then the collab "stopped" and then J Balvin launches the offial merch and Residente Messages J Balvin, and doesnt get a response, and the J Balvin eventually responds and says something like "bro guess what omg this is a great idea, i will make so much money with this and im glad is all in the past" and Residente gets mad because the deal was to not mke that merch. So then Residente releases the diss after J Balvin begged again. and in the diss he says " I do this so that everyone who bought the hot dog shirt would feel like a dmbazz" and thats basically it. Residente walks around like a freedom fighter, you should try to translate his lyrics, hes like the Eminem of spanish music, but hmm a whole lot more lyrical and simply x100 better
