I've always been a Southern fan, but the runs at 1:37 that sounded just like the synthesizer in the song... good lord JSU.

Dope battle by two heavyweights! That part at 1:37 takes JSU's arrangement over the top for me. Never heard anything like that from a band Before...Those tubas are RIDICULOUS. I liked Southern too and I noticed some nice power from their tubas at the end. Nicely done by both bands.

JSU took the "W" on this one! Their balance, arrangement, delivery was soooooo goood and clean!! Totally sound like the actual song. I didn't really know what SU was playing to be quite honest.

In my opinion southern has the power and aggression ,but musicality and unity win battles so that’s JSU all day

JSU has the better arrangement, SU wasn’t bad they should of just kept it in the band room until it was ready cause it didn’t sound ready at all .. it was just loud that’s really it .. JSU gave me the feel of the song. Just because an band is louder doesn’t make it better 💀

This my take. I love the tuba part and the run in JState arrangement and was pretty well blended. I always like how they run a crunk song back after the last note. In other words Encore. SU had a nice trombone part in theirs and then tubas just started showing their ass toward on the end and pretty powerful. I will have to say Boom took that one but was very very close.

The Boom got that. They had better dynamics within the arrangement. The power was there when it was needed. The chords and the run were on point. You can clearly hear each section get some shine.

Although I’m a “Jukebox” connoisseur, I must admit JSU took this one.

Sonic Boom took no prisoners! Jukebox was good, but they can’t fade JSU’s playing & arrangement. JSU playing was so crisp! That transition/ascension... Good Lawd! Two heavyweights entered, but the Sonic Boom got ‘em all shaking. They shook.

Jackson's version is simply better than SU's. SU's had hangover issues through it and just too much going on. Forget RAW POWER. POWER WILL NEVER substitute for good sound.

The Sonic Boom presented a solid, clean, intense, and dramatic arrangement... You could tell the song right off, there was a solid blend throughout; the passion clearly resonated.. Now SU's arrangement was loud at the end, however just being loud doesn't cut it anymore; plus they were flat majority of the song... SU sounded like loud fuss... Today's viewing audience is much more savvy now, they desire an experience, not just a comglumate of loudness.

I can't take anything away from Jackson State. Tubas were Solid, Thick low brass... But SU Body Bag That One. Shout To The Mello's That Was Sweet! Flame On 🔥! I love to hear those Mello's play in the mid-range they have a lot of power there.... Very Powerful Arrangement! T-bones were outstanding!

To be honest I don’t like to separate my people... JSU played very clean really clean and the Arrangement was amazing amazing.... SU was loud great Arrangement however I’m from California and I love dum corps to here JSU play loud and clean made me smile because our people are so powerful and when we play together the sound is amazing.... I’m going to say the both did the dam good. Now SU is also amazing I love how much they continue to grow the drumlin looks and sound even better Han before... The snare drum technique is amazing I would love for the snares to tune up a little higher because they have the chops to play clean.... a much respect to both groups from your brother from California

Both were great but ima give it to JSU simply because they sounded more clean, perfectly arranged, and well balanced. Well as SU, I felt like it was a lot going on sound wise and they were over blowing just a tad bit but both were still worth watching.
