Who Really Killed Jesus? - The Burning Bush

A pastor, teacher, and follower of yeshua hamashiach (Jesus Christ), I was raised in a non Christian home and came to accept Christ when I was 19. To say He radically changed my life would be an understatement. In the years since I've grown deeper in my walk and love of God, but I've also realized that there are many who claim to be followers of his who don't seem to show it, or even know what that means. Jesus was incredibly practical, real, and down to earth, and if we actually look at His Word- the Bible- we'll find that God does speak to us today and will help us with current every day issues.
So these are the issues, the moments, the happenings that are burning on my heart and setting it on fire. Thus, the Burning Bush.

Before watching the video, I say Jesus laid His own life down at the exact time He chose to. Even on the cross, He was still fully God AND fully man.

Before:. The Sadducees, especially Caiaphas and/or Annas, do not believe in any afterlife and wanted to be in good standing with Rome. Talk of a resurrection or a Jewish King both threaten their status quo.

The Jewish council of high priests, the chief of whom was Caiaphas, son-in-law of Annas; under the belief that Jesus intended to build a large enough following in Rome, in occupied Israel, that a caliphate or holy war, wouldn't sue, which the Jewish priests, and Kaiafas, in particular, had reason to believe would generate a response from Rome. That was devastating, indiscriminate, and maybe even approaching genocidal That's my response to your question, before the analysis portion of the video begins To be clear, the answer is not the people of Israel, it is not the Jewish people in and beyond Israel, it is that specific group of high priests, minus the lone dissenter who, at the conclusion of the crucifixion, said "truly, this man was the son of God"

I believe it was a combination of the Father's allowance and my sin (well us all) that led to Jesus' death...the rest were pawns so to speak. We'll see what the video says!

OK, ok. I think it's much more of an importance that we see the bigger and not just the immediate cultural situation in this case. But it is helpful, thank you. Happy Resurrection Day to you and your family!

I think most see the "bigger picture," the theological one. But they forget the practical or nitty gritty- If you will the actual historical one. And oftentimes it gets used as an excuse to justify racism and anti-Semitism, along with other issues that arise from the mistaken interpretation.
