They're getting soo much better. The backgrounds finally look like Miura's work. Some of the characters look as well, and they finally have reasonable proportions - though most still have a different feeling to them/they're not as detailed/expressive. Even though they feel slightly off, you can tell they're doing their best in terms of dialogues too. I hope they take their time and keep improving.

What really stuck out to me this chapter was the (imo) very well improved art. It looked sooo good and clean this time and much more like Miura

The chains were most definitely brought by the Kushan not manifested from the astral realm… this can be speculated due to the character reveal at the end of the chapter that these were brought in preparation for restraining Guts if needed.

Great chapter. A lot of interesting developments. But Rickert and Silat no doubt know Guts is on the ship…

I’m sure guts will be teaming up with silat now, always wanted to see guts fight the tapasa but teaming up with them is cool too I guess, makes sense atleast in the story right now because they are all against Griffith

Amazing chapter, I wasn't aware it was already out, this is my first news about it

It’s amazing to have more Berserk finally be out after a while. I assume maybe it took a while because maybe Mori is trying to figure out this new arc and think clearly about how it’s gonna work out and everything like that. Anyway, this new chapter was pretty cool. Nothing too significant happened in it for most of it, but it was pretty obvious it was gonna focus on the Kushans taking the ship hostage and rounding everyone up. Some people have said them putting Guts in chains is supposed to be similar to the Beast Of Darkness being put in chains so that’s makes me wonder if that’ll actually hold him or if he’s gonna go crazy on them. The biggest twist in the chapter though was seeing that Rickert is with them. I totally thought that. I thought it would make perfect sense for Rickert to be with them and I was right. All I can say is that I think he’s gonna see Guts and try to help him and maybe he’ll explain what happened when he was in Falconia and maybe Guts can tell him what happened with Griffith destroying Elfhelm and so on and I still stand by my original statement that I think Guts, the rest of the party, Rickert, Erica and the Kushans are gonna team up to invade Falconia and fight Griffith and the rest of his Apostles and maybe this could result in everyone exposing Griffith for who he really is and we’ll have the final fight with Guts and Griffith. I heard somewhere that Miura said Guts would go off on his own for a while, so I don’t entirely know how that’s gonna work. Maybe Rickert convinces the Kushans to let Guts go from being a prisoner and maybe he decides to leave while the others make a plan to invade Falconia and maybe Guts comes back when he hears about it and tries to save everyone from dying and decides to also do it to save Casca.

Those chains are not the beast of darkness. That would not make sense. Also IMO Guts cant make a “deal” with the beast of darkness. It is not like sukana or kurama. The beast of darkness is guts, its his worst part of him and is inhumane. That is why when the berserker armour is used it acts like a beast rather than a human. It lacks Guts fighting style and more fights like beast would not a human. If Guts were to become an apostle he would take the appearance of the beast of darkness.

Maybe they find him with the help of Daiba. He should be able to track someone as Guts (or maybe also Schierke) through their Od.

I called them meeting back with Rickert back when he escaped Flaconia like 3 years ago. I didn't predict the Kushian remnants would abduct the Seahorse. I thought they would stumble upon the secret home after being forced to leave elf hell. I guess they kinda are. And then they will team up to infiltrate Falconia on the next full moon when Griffith isn't godlike. At the same time, Sonia will look into Cascas mind and see what Griffith did and help her escape and they will somehow miss her, but then Sonia, Casca, and Mule will get into some other sort of trouble and then that's when Gut's catches up to them and save them. Then Griffith regains his Griffith eyes and comes to retrieve her and that is when shit will get real. I bet one of the right hand apostles dies in the rescue attemp abd I think Irvine will help Sonia and Casca. Bet you I'm right. I see patterns in shit. And in stories too. lolz

Rickert knows ! He has been told by Guts what happened this day, and he is on his side. Then, he joined the Kushans who are against Griffith. Guts n friends are going to be invited into the Kushan's Kingdom to maybe gain a powerup allowing to do something against Griffith. This is hope.

Where was the dog leash? Also what chapter explained that Skull Knight and Zodd were both parts of Gaiseric?

What if that Kushan Shaman (I forgot his name) had a premonition or something that Griffith's force was going to attack the place where Guts and his crew was and sent in a rescue for this powerful (but deadly) asset to help him on his fight against the hawk of darkness.

Wow lots of ppl nailed this after the last chapter. Lots guessed Silat and Rickert’s crew would team up and if they were the ones who were behind the Kushan invading the ship, then it’s likely this is about putting together the last anti-Griffith factions and they’re probably seeking out Guts as an ally. I’m not sure if invading the ship was the best way to approach that kinda thing, at least not if you want your crew to survive but hey 🤷🏻‍♂️ There’s no one else as far as I can remember to oppose Falconia. Seems like some internal descent is definitely happening and we might have some of the New Band of the Falcon deserting to join the Silat, Rickert, Guts side. Of course I’m still not sure if there’s any way to confront Griffith, but there are some really powerful players on team Guts (if that’s really what’s occurring here)

I just had an idea.. what of when Sherike gets close to seeing Falconia and Casca in her astral body but when she does get close somehow Griffith is able to capture and trap her astral body in Falconia...😳🤔🤷🏻‍♂️ and that way she can not wake up or help the group or Guts until she can escape somehow... she would be in trouble because she wouldn't be able to eat either.. just a thought I had...

I think the Kushan Warriors might actually be undead. Now that the Great Roar of the Astral Plane happened, magic should be much easier to use and more crazy spells can take place. I think that if the Beast of Darkness has incarnated fully, it’s also thanks to the Great Roar.

I personally think that maybe Guts was using the chains to tie himself up at certain times so that the if he were to become possessed by the Beast of Darkness he wouldn’t be running all over the ship killing everyone because he’s tied down. But then that begs the question isn’t he strong enough to break the chains already? Like what good are regular chains going to do to Guts, let alone a Guts possessed by Beast of Darkness while in the Berserker Armor?! What about the behelit that Guts had? I personally don’t see Guts using a behelit, but right now he’s broken and at his lowest point so if the behelit were to try to tempt him right now would be the best time! But maybe the Beast of Darkness made an agreement like the behelit does to give Guts as much strength as he can in exchange for his body or something. So instead of using the behelit to become stronger the Beast of Darkness made an agreement with Guts and instead of sacrificing someone or something important he sacrificed his own body or just himself in general! But I know I’m about 99% wrong but I’m just wondering is all. By the Gods thank the God Griffith that Berserk is back! But for how long it’s back for until another year long break… idk🤷🏾‍♂️.

Ok let me clear something up here. The kushan did not find the chains. The kushan brought the chains. Its simply they arent here to fight they are simply here for guts not to hurt him but to recruit him.

Sept 22 was supposed to be the date for this chapter. but not worried about that. The Kushan pirates are gonna regret taking Guts hostage. They better let go of him.. or else. Also I am surprised to see Rickert again, because now that he is aboard the Sea Horse, he and Guts might make an interaction.

This video misinterpreted this chapter so badly! There is no leash, that is the sword's gaurd or whatever. And the kushans brought the chains. The chains breaking then the other chains. Are either the beast of darkness breaking the chains, as the kushans put the chains on guts. Or maybe less likely the beast is being rechained, as it's fighting to get free. And the kushan's if anything show more of their humanity in this chapter.

the majority of this chapte is useless padding of the same scene thats suppose to happen last episode ... plus the kushans brought the chains with them possibily prepared for the berserker warned by kushan mage contrlling them .. they will guide the crew to the bakiraka village in teh east where they will clash with griffith .. we all of this about happen we get a scene with azan and magnifico . the witches telling us for the 10th time that their powers are gone..random kushan foot soldiers doing facial expression and ofc another shot f guts laying on his back with rats...see you in 2024 for another 20 pages of nothing

I hate how sloppy the new author is treating events and other situations in the plot. Like when sirpico did the jump off the side and that was supposed to be impressive for his character they even zoom in on his eye to show the intensity, and we've seen him do way trickier things mid combat. And for the entire boarding event for the last, present and upcoming chapter....basically is made into a none event because it's the B team meeting up with A team. And we've spent months on this cliffhanger. If these are marine kushans they would know sirpico jumped to the next level, there was no splash or ripple of him jumping into the water. They would just pursue him. The new author is making the pacing strange and doesn't understand the core of what made Miura's work compelling, so far no chapter he has made has been good. I really don't like reading WAY more into "nontent" than we should just because we miss berserk to panel with information and lore. When like 3 or 4 chapters happen and essentially the networth of those chapters has been, "griffith is going east" and "guts on a boat meets his old bros" are the ONLY things we got so far. it reminds me of Chainsaw Man manga fans. Where they needlessly find meaning in the most miniscule and unimportant stuff taking up panels with zero narrative momentum/random plot conveniences. when nothing is going on, and when the plot meanders, we shouldn't find reasoning for why it's doing that. It's just poorly paced right now. that's it.
