At the end of November, Wednesday had 7 points, Huddersfield had 19 points and Birmingham had 22 points.

The seven thousand Wednesday fans at Ewood Park made a right noise. They were the 12th man.

My thoughts: Huddersfield - they’re in trouble at the moment and they’ve got a massive mountain to climb. Survival not impossible but I think now it’s likely they’ll go down Birmingham - Very difficult to predict. You just don’t know with Birmingham. They could pick up any amount of points. I don’t want to call it. I think it could be 50/50. Sheffield Wednesday- form in their favour, now out the bottom 3, plus their remaining fixtures are either ‘on the beach’ or have lost their last two. I’d be surprised if they’re pointless. They just need to make sure they don’t get too complacent and assume they are safe. So I’m not ruling now them out of relegation but they have put themselves in a good position after that win Plymouth - Certainly not safe yet but their remaining fixtures are both teams that are either already ‘on the beach’ or could be at the time they play them. They just need to take advantage of those games or hope that no more than one of the teams below them charges towards the finish line. I think they should stay up but can’t relax yet. Blackburn - Similar situation to Plymouth except their final day fixture. Need to take advantage of the Coventry game (especially as Coventry are almost out of contention so might be ‘on the beach’. If not, it could be a nervy final day (especially as I think it will be extremely difficult for them to get anything from the Leicester game). Stoke and QPR - Very likely to be safe. They can’t quite relax but they’d have to have quite a bit to go wrong for them to go down. Estimated probabilities of relegation in my opinion: QPR - 2% Stoke - 5% Plymouth - 15% Blackburn - 25% Sheffield Wednesday- 33% Birmingham- 50% Huddersfield - 70%

Speaking as a blues fan, after failing to beat Rotherham yesterday, if we don't beat Huddersfield next week either we fully deserve to go down. As Huddersfield know they will have to win that one I think that will play I to our hands on the break 🤞. Don't fancy Blackburn getting anything off Coventry or Wednesday getting more than a point against the baggies so a win would take us above both (and Plymouth if they lose at Milwall). That'd mean we'd only need to match any of their 3 results to stay up. My heart says Stoke LD 51 Birmingham WD 50 QPR LL 50 Sheff Wed LW 50 Plymouth LD 49 Blackburn LL 49 Huddersfield LL 44 Probably be nowhere near but live in hope 🤞

As a Huddersfield fan, we are down

Now that Neil Harris has accomplished his mission of making us safe utilising the tried and tested 'Millwall' methodology using 'Millwall' type players a large faction of the Millwall supporters would like to see our youngsters and fringe players play the remaining two games. This wouldn't mean taking the foot off the gas, far from it, because they'll be giving their all for a host of reasons.

With only 19 points between the team just outside the play-offs and the team just above the relegation places it is a wonderful advertisement for the Championship and how competitive it is. You can keep the Premier league, as an Argyle fan I hope we can stay up for a while.

From a town fan, I think we still go down even if we beat Birmingham by some miracle. Wednesday is on way better form than we are right now so will probably save themselves

But instead of getting promotion avoiding a relegation. You can't say it's not value for money...

The championship is mental🤯 It’s still feasible that one of Leicester or Ipswich will NOT get promoted this season🤔🤯 The team with the top goalscorer (Blackburn) may still get relegated🤯 And Sheffield Wednesday-who looked on course for the lowest ever points total could stay up😳 That’s not to mention early pacesetters ( 6 wins and a draw from first 7 matches)Preston potentially not even finishing in the top half. As a Birmingham fan I think both ourselves & Huddersfield will go down. Realistically I can’t see more than a point away at Huddersfield as our away form is dreadful. Norwich at home on the last day might still need to get something to secure a play off spot. Watching Sheff Wed dismantle Blackburn just shows they have the fight to survive which I thought my club did the previous week when we battered Coventry 3-0. The 4 points we’ve dropped against Rotherham home & away this season will come back to haunt us I think

If Huddersfield lose next week then they are down no matter the Sheff Wednesday score?? They would need to overtake 2 teams to get out of relegation & Birmingham & Plymouth have too many points for them. Someone may have already picked up on this in the comments anyway. I will definitely be watching Huddersfield v Birmingham next weekend for the drama, & my boss is a Huddersfield fan.

I'd say probable.. 1pt each for Hudds & Birm', from their two remaining games, meaning if Sheff W can pick up 1pt from their remaining games, They'd be OK & send Hudds & Birm' down. I reckon Rovers are safe with 49 as is.

Birmingham fan with that sinking feeling... Our away form is shocking. The fact we couldn't muster up enough to beat the worst team in the league makes me wonder if we really deserve to stay up. The players knew how important that game was and we were still awful, only managing a handful of shots. We've won 3 away games all season too so next weekend against Huddersfield is anything but a cert. Have to hope we can pull something out of the bag.

It's taken me 44 games but now I think I know how it's going to end. Huddersfield will beat Birmingham then both will be beaten by promotion-hunting East Anglians on the final day. Meanwhile Wednesday will get at least a point, winning all the plaudits for Danny Röhl, allowing Marti Cifuentes to quietly get on with preparing QPR for next season. Oh and three teams will be promoted. 😅

My take on it. If Coventry win on Wednesday I fear Blackburn may lose the last 2. Birmingham vs Huddersfield - Who knows (hopefully blues come through and get the win) I fancy blues to get a win vs Norwich last day (granted Norwich are safe in the playoffs by then) Wednesday - hard game vs baggies I reckon 1 point maximum for them and then a win vs Sunderland last day. Argyle fan, no ill will towards any of our relegation rivals - with the notable exception of one side who are now seemingly safe. Huddersfield won't get anything from Ipswich if the title is on the line on the final day. They, therefore, seem destined for the drop. A draw next week with Brum would leave the latter needing to beat Norwich. That's a tall order. Despite our faltering end to the season, Argyle can still realistically hope to pick up one more point. That may be enough, although with a number of departures looming in the summer I fear for us next season.

I think Huddersfield are probably down but you never know. If they lose on Saturday, they're down, doesn't matter what Sheff Wed do, they won't have more than 47 points if they win the last game Ben. Not a lot of love towards Plymouth from the neatuals could never understand why such a well run and supported club that never had top flight football is outstanding tbh. I think we will stay up by the skin of our teeth but we always had that onlooking bias of a small club mindset that never succeeded the dreamland of the premier league which kind of makes us easy targets or the mind set of get back to where you belong. Maybe one day some real investment will come and will power the club up towards sustainability in the championship even if we are to go down. But i really dont think it will happen tbh and going by only whats on paper ill say its Rotherham Huddersfield Blackburn, Blackburn being a somewhat an eye opener. But like us if we or blackburn cannot manage a win either club will have no excuses! I really think Wednesday will be safe and Birmingham on paper!!! Shame football isn't played on it 😆

I think Hudds Birmingham will be 0-0 Hudds will lose 4-0 to Ipswich, tbf Hudds have had a horrid season, Missing out on them 2 points at Bristol City and losing to Swansea, probs were the last nails in the coffin...But too many games Roth (A), Plymouth, (H), Stoke (H and A) Games where points were lost.
