I've reached the age and wisdom to no longer care what is in fashion and I just wear what I want

I’m 57. I wear faded jeans, sarcastic t-shirts, loud socks and boots or trainers 👖👕🥾 👟. I’ve dressed like this for 40 years or more. Fashion has always been something that happens to other people. 🤘🏻😎

Literally do not care about fashion. I hold that people who freak out over fashion are shallow and not worth the air they breathe.

I like ankle socks....they dont cut my circulation off.

I am 54 and since I was 12 I wore Wranglers, Ropers or some other kind of boots, keeping up with fashion trends isn't my thing. What was in style in the 80's comes round eventually.

Don't worry too much about the fashion sock police. Eventually you'll be old enough to wear compression socks every day and not need to buy any other style ever again.

Time to go back to tube socks with a colorful stripe or two.

I actually cared once, when I was 16, what people, or more specifically a girl, thought of what I wore. My friends to this day still remind me of my choice of clothing that night with much laughter and taunting. Since that night, I have worn what I want, when I want, and my care factor is still zero of what people think of my dress code. Be you and not a sheep. You'll be amazed at how much happier you'll feel. Works for me. Truck on. 🤟😎👍🚛🚛🚛

I just gave up on socks entirely. Closed-toed sandals or Crocs are the way to go.

Fashion is all about making money. Ankle socks are great during the summer if you live in an area where the grass isn't too tall. I've reached the conclusion that it's either ankle socks or over the calf socks (literally, so they don't slip down).

I am a Gen X- male. When I was in middle school they had rules to the clothing one could wear. One was pants and some type of shirt, and the other was a dress. It was hot that day!!

I push my calf socks down to my ankles. I still have white briefs.

Personally, I've not worn tighty-whities since highschool. And as for the socks, I've never written ankle socks. But really, at the end of the day, I don't care what's in style or not, I'm going to wear what I like and what's comfortable. The rest of society with its fads and trends can go f**k itself!

I dress exactly how I have dressed since 1992. Boots and a flannel shirt. Boxers. People don’t even notice. I prefer it that way.

I'm GenX. My hobby is automotive. Got a really cool Ride. Spend more on my vehicles than clothing. Buying from thrift stores. Just it works out getting oily in the garage.

I wear whatever socks match and are clean. Pretty simple. In the sock basket, whichever pair you find first, ends up on my feet.

IDK about fads. I wear until I have to buy something new.

Age 49 and I vote we all go get those 70s/80s shorts, socks to our thighs with halter tops and tight tank tops. Not a lot of us don't have the body of our youth but this will quiet them down

GenX from 72. I wear calf socks, combat boots (maybe tied), jeans, t-shirt and flannel (usually unbuttoned). I take my hat off only to shower and for ladies. If you have a problem with the way I look, step up, or step off, but you don't have a hope in hell of changing me based on "style". I know "style" is just stupid people with money talking shit with no way to back it up. P.S. Unless you're an interested lady, don't bother asking me about my delicates.

I don't wear socks. I can't stand wearing socks lol. I only wear shoes if I am leaving the house. As a kid my mom made me wear socks and boots to go out into the snow, I would sit on the steps and remove my socks and sometimes my boots to play in the snow. ( might explain why I almost always had a cold lol) I would put them back on before I went inside and Mom would say " Why are your feet wet?" lmao. ahhh the 70's lol

If you're a man over 25, I'm not quite sure why you'd pay attention to what's considered fashionable. You've got more useful things to think about than whatever things fashion designers convince people to wear. Most of the time you look silly if you do, and sometimes it might be hazardous to your health.

Sport em with a white T undeaneath unbottoned or a wife beater.... The only other people rocking this style is our GenX. Almost all my friends still @ 50 years old dress the same from Cool Adidas, to skate shoes(even dudes who never skated) to Vans w/ Fat Laces.... ~FatherTime= FU!! I still skate & snowboard even though i turned "50" Four months ago. No more stairs except simple ollie basics. But mostly curbs and hillBombs and MiniRamp... ~I actually began early negotiations w/ Wife & Daughter about Backyard miniramp. Wife wants me to put it in the woods across the street... ~This isn't 1989, We haveta actually buy the wood now.. Back then it was roll up to the construction site 8 homies deep and load it all on top of the car at 2am on a friday night & stash it 1-2 blocks away then go get it when someone can secure a truck..

56. Been wearing what I want since my 20s. Since my 30s, I’ve been wearing hoodies, t-shirts, tank tops, jeans, cargo pants, hiking sneakers, mid calf socks, handkerchief or or baseball hat on occasion. I don’t care what anyone else is wearing. When skinny jeans came into being, I thought they were hideous on everyone. I refused to wear them. Glad that style is fading out. I noticed huge dorky glasses are back, and lots of people are wearing loud colored frames. Many have multiple pairs to match their suits and outfits. Imho, the huge glasses are as ugly as they ever were in the 80s. I think the glasses look silly, espy on professional people. I can’t stop looking at them bc they become the overwhelming focal point, instead of the persons face. I also think it’s ridiculously pretentious to have multiple glasses to match the color of your outfits. No better ways to use that money? Consumption. Consumption. Consumption. 🤑

The type of sock that I wear is determined only by the current temperature. If it's hot, I wear ankle or no-show socks. Moderate temperatures calls for calf high socks. If it's cold, it's time for calf high socks that are thicker material And if it's freezing I put wool socks over the calf high socks. No one with a working brain cares about what is the current fashion trend.

Ugh. Women have a ridiculous amount of panty choices. This stems from the early 2000's uprising against the dental floss plague we've suffered through for years. I remember clearly the day I discovered the "boy short", I cried and lit a candle to the younger generation who stood up and demanded practical undergarments that could still be made sexy just by using different fabric. I barely survived the expense of the matching Victoria Secret sets years. I wasn't going back.
