It's also cool that Botan just stayed as herself while talking to Aqua from the start till the end. Usually, Aqua makes the other person act awkward as well lol (except to her noisy and close friends like Suisei and Marine I guess)

can someone elaborate on what the're hinting to? isn't it Japanese tradition to going out with your significant ones to KFC in Christmas? and Botan and Aqua avoiding it because of fans, or it's other reference?

@cerberushd2 long story short, Pekora said she was going to do a Christmas stream so people could spend Christmas with her. She had to cancel said stream and people were kept waiting, so "everyone's chicken got cold". As always, people blow things out of proportion, some got really mad, some made light of it and some tried to stir some drama out of it. Nowadays it's like an awkward meme more than anything.

@@cerberushd2 They are referencing Pekora's "Cold Chicken" incident, which (I think) caused a minor bit of unnecessary drama but has overall turned into a thing that Holomems (and official collabs like Tamagotchi lmao) tease Pekora for As you said, getting chicken with your significant other is a Japanese Christmas tradition. In 2021, Pekora planned a Christmas stream, telling her fans to keep their schedules free. However, she had to cancel the stream at the last minute because (iirc) she got sick. This led to weirdos/antis believing/spreading the idea that Pekora canceled because she had a date, and people got upset because the chicken they bought to "share" with Pekora went cold. She didn't address it and let the situation blow over but for Christmases since then, Pekora has taken the opportunity to turn it into a meme she sometimes plays into. In 2022, Pekora set up a stream for Christmas and "pretended" to forget about it, by tweeting about completely unrelated things on her sub account. She eventually started the stream, albeit 10 minutes late. Now it's just a joke people tease her for on occasion, including the aforementioned Tamagotchi collab she had last year, which included cold chicken if you neglect to take care of her lmao

Close to Xmas eve 2021 - Pekora told to her fans to keep their sched open on xmas eve as she might stream that day. Xmas eve 2021 - Pekora canceled her stream. People were disappointed, some stirred up drama and twist some story that she had a date w/ her "bf" thats why she didn't show up. Pekora didn't address the drama and waited for it to calm down. 6+months after the incident when she was collabing w/ la+ there was a marshmallow w/c opened that topic again, and she explained that she had no planned content to do that time so she just canceled it. Dec 2022 - she confessed to father FBK and sister Marine about the chicken incident. From then on it became a meme instead of a drama. Xmas eve 2022 - Pekora made a "make up" stream and cooked a fried chicken complete w/ a handcam pov. It even had a recap on the 2021 incident in meme form in the intro of the video. The "chicken got cold" meme is now a running gag from Pekora. Holocure's cold stamp, even her official collab on tamagochi have these meme. This is also Aqua's favorite shit talk on Pekora, whenever they collab she have this itch of bringing it up on stream lol.
