In my opinion, even though Blackpink had a fantastic year; Artist of the Year award truly belongs to BTS. Because they've had their 4 consecutive #1 Billboard 200 album, which was the best selling album in the world and iconic Billboard Hot 100 #1 thrice with Dynamite and #1 with Savage Love. They've won in BMAs, VMAs, EMAs and probably they will win AMAs too. Whereas Blackpink's comeback was the most successful for a Kpop girl group, BTS' comeback was the most successful comeback this year for any artist overall.(I am an Armyblink, so no hate towards anyone)

Just a quick disclaimer: song of the year is not which song sounded the best. It’s which song did the best on the charts in Korea and worldwide so it’s definitely gonna be Dynamite even if in your opinion there were much better songs this year. Personally I agree that there were many songs this year which were much better than Dynamite (my personal pick is Scream by Dreamcatcher) but you can’t deny that Dynamite was really an explosion in the music industry this year and thus, I definitely think it deserves to be song of the year.

In my opinion Blackpink should have won Artist of the year since the 2020 they did lot of promotion, variety shows, sales, and even the live concert is coming. And also the Documetry too. No shade to The Artist or the Fandom but K-pop Stan shall start looking up to other idols who's deserving Rather than blindly voting for their favs. And SOTY ofc belong to BTS since Dynamite is legend.
