Anyone think that Millionaire changing the format to copy the US clock version format was the killing blow, along with Chris leaving the show ?

The US format sucked, that is why it is gone!!

Maybe it's both. Btw, in Germany and Austria the classic versions still run very successfully, with a slight modification (one can choose a fourth lifeline but then can fall down to € 500 every time).

The show has just been revived in Poland, the only difference is that the epsiodes are shorter (30 minutes) and I think they are 4 days a week, beside that it's in its classic version and it's pretty popular.

39:53 This question confused me at first, as I didn’t know what they meant by "left out." They meant that you wouldn't get it for Santa, but it also could mean leaving it out for him, like how kids leave out milk and cookies for him on Christmas Eve.

Who wants to be a millionaires original 1998 format was best. It was simple and to the point. When they added the glitzy set, with flashing lights etc, it made the show tacky and cheapened the production.
