I disagree with you Season 1 and Season 2 are the heart of degrassi and they aren't so relationship heavy. Storylines like the shooting from Season 4 are great are great but not relatable because most countries don't have school shootings. Something like Ashley losing her friends is something I could relate to and I think most people could.

I kind of feel zig was the ultimate fuck boy. He cheated on Tori for Maya despite Maya telling him it’s wrong and he doesn’t feel any bad for it only that he got caught. And alongside that, he doesn’t feel guilty about his role in Cam’s suicide as he says he doesn’t wanna hear it anymore clearly wanting to get rid of a guilty conscience because he’s reminded that he was the catalyst for Cam’s suicide. And then he sees he’ll wait for Maya as if she’s his property and undergoes what I believe to be the worst change in a degrassi character ever. They want us to believe this skater guy is a bad boy thug who’s emotionless. As if Zig came from a rough background which isn’t remotely true. Zig has loving parents and a mom who guides him in the right direction but the show wants us to believe he’s this misunderstood guy who society has ruined. Then he goes to make fun of Maya during a presentation but when Maya claps back he can’t handle dishing dirt showing his fragile ego. Then he has the nerve antagonize Miles over Maya because he likes her and can not stand the fact she likes another dude. And then he cheats on Maya and says some dumb shit like “it takes two to ruin a relationship.” As if Maya played a part in him cheating on her with Zoe like he did with Tori. All in all, while Drew has done some fucked up things I can see that he was hurting and he doesn’t necessarily think before he acts he just does it and has a shred of guilt but Zig is by far the bigger fuckboy out of the both of them as he clearly is selfish and can’t even fathom another person having what he wants.
