As a person who grew up in Thomaston and my mother was the secretary to the president of Seth Thomas I can say that the town of Thomaston and its people truly love this town and the heritage it gave us. We have over 11 Seth Thomas clocks and enjoy all of them.

Very interesting , I have an O.B. McClintock bank clock with a Seth Thomas movement made in 1917, runs beautifully and keeps perfect time. A testament to the skill and quality of the "time".

Really enjoyed this talk. Thomaston is a lovely town and the Seth Thomas-Bradstreet House Museum is worth a visit.

As a person who grew up in Plymouth and worked in the Seth Thomas building, I can tell you his and Eli Terry's business relationship was a bit more complicated than you describe. Also, There is no Grand Central Station. It's a terminus. Grand Central Terminal. There are no other stations after it.

Despite living in the UK and loving clocks I have a couple of nice American clocks, an 1885 Seth Thomas and a Jerome "Ogee" of similar vintage. Both a good and accurate time pieces albeit the strike on the Seth Thomas is a bit "random"

I just inherited a Seth Thomas 295a. I don’t know if this is accurate, but a while ago I found another very similar clock, maybe a 295f going for $1500. I like to think mine is worth that, it’s probably not though.... it still works and is in near perfect condition. I love this piece.

I just received a Seth Thomas grandfather clock ( I believe it actually to be a grandmother clock) but I’m unsure how to hang the pendulum. It’s a E687-201.

There's a high chance I could be related to Seth Thomas almost directly. My grandmother had a DNA map made and there was a man by the same name, with the same number of children, who lived at the same time.

Came to KZfaq to see the video after seeing your plug on Instagram. Your link on Instagram is broken btw, so I had to search for the video on KZfaq. Thanks for this! Going to look him up on Wikipedia now. I have a beautiful 19th century ST mantle clock.

i own 3 clocks of his 1 mantle a wall clock and travel clock mantle and travel are wind up and wall clock is a plug in and is Seth Thomas still in business today

I have a old electric Seth Thomas mantel clock which I was able to get working by lubricating all the parts. The problem is it chimes on and off. Not sure where to go next but I'll keep searching. Any useful hints from anyone out there is greatly appreciated.
