Cornelius Lysaght looks back on the incredible career of Sir Henry Cecil.
The master trainer was a popular figure in racing and sport, in a career that spanned six decades.
After years of success, Cecil's fortunes turned dramatically at the turn of the century. However, to the well demonstrated delight of the public, he fought his way back into the big-time and is best known for his association with the extraordinary, unbeaten racehorse FRANKEL.
Cecil trained Frankel while seriously ill with cancer to win all 14 of his career starts and the horse is widely recognised as one of the greatest racehorses of all time.
