Offensive scheme & consistent qb play can help develop a 2nd WR. Draft an edge rusher to help with a pass rush that ranked at the bottom last season.

Mitchell was a great prediction by Shock. I think they are selling Latu very short. Every school plays lesser opponents on their schedule and gets opportunities to pad stats. Turner has ZERO sacks against MTSU and UT-Chatt. Why didn’t he dominate the competition like Latu? Watch Latu snap to snap. He is flat out better at beating the guy in front of him. Doesn’t matter who it is. He has a number of pass rush moves that makes him tough to block anywhere along the line.

@@enclave9614I don’t really like Turner’s size(he the same size as Ebiketie but AK has rush moves). Do you really wanna get Vic Beasley or Takk again? I’m taking the guy that doesn’t rely on just speed to win. Turner would be a great NFL linebacker but not true edge. Latu got all the tools. Verse got more rush moves than Turner too. And Latu and Verse are better run defenders, something Turner struggles with. His inability to set the edge pushed him below the other two.

I think that's exactly what they do. I'm looking at Jax wanting to come up for Odunze. My preference of picks for ATL in the 1st would be Murphy, Mitchell, Latu (deferring to medical staff o/c), Turner, Verse. In the 2nd I'd like to see one of Kneeland, Michael Hall Jr, Braswell, Legette, or Pearsall. In the 3rd, I would target Elliss, Dorlus, DJ James, Elijah Jones, Tykee Smith, Sedrick Van Pran, or Mason McCormick.

If Odunze is available, you don’t pass on him. I like Jared Verse better than Dallas Turner. Also, I like Laiatu Latu if we are just discussing Edge players.

Great show! Dallas is a baller and potential All-Pro in the right system. Though I agree with the assessment and playing against legitimate competition, he was surrounded by incredible complementary players which gave him more time to rush the passer at Alabama. Not to mention, he is an incredible athlete with insane measurables, but I don't think he'll be that successful in Atl. I wasn't big on Will Anderson either but he's in a system that's conducive to his skillset (plus, he's able to be himself and a tremendous supporting cast). I would not go with Turner with the 8th (or 11th) pick. I think the Falcons should go with the best player available even if it's a receiver of tight end.

Dallas turner if you want a defensive pick, for offense trade down grab a 2nd round pick in addition to their first, draft ad Mitchell or Ladd for offense, the quarterback talk this year is dumb, none of the later available qbs are good, trade for beck or sheduer next draft to sit behind kirk for a year or two

Kirk Cousins went from Thielen and Diggs to Jefferson & Addison so I think a top 3 receiver if they are there or a top 3 DE. Jonah Elliss & Chris Braswell should be there in the 2nd round as will some decent WR's might be still available in Pearsall, Wilson, McConkey, Polk. Get Calais back if possible. Quinyon Mitchell gave me the woolies at the Senior Bowl in the 1vs1's and have been unable to view him as a top 20 pick since. Clark Phillips can become a better CB2 in his second year...

The pass rusher media says is the best rarely becomes a star. It’s always 2nd or 3rd ranked DL that becomes the generational pass rusher.

I know this is a mind flipper and kind of outrageous but imagine …drafting Brock bowers at #8 👀 moving Kyle pitts to wr on the inside imagine screen passing u have huge blocks from warner, bowers and pitts no one wants to deal with that pitts, drake, Mooney and bowers would stretch the field easily and would be so unfair even tho this would be a no see 😢

But realistically I would go Trade back to pick 12 with broncos we receive # 12 and 3rd rd pick #76 At 12 I would take latu 43- Mike sainristil (if available) 74-jalyn Polk or malachi Corley 76-Andru Phillips (CB) 79- I would go defensive line (add more depth) 109- qb (Jordan Travis) 143- JD Bertrand (LB out of Notre dame) 187- WR from Oregon, Anthony Gould 197- kamal Hadden CB out of Tennessee Rate this draft 👍🏼

Green Bay drafted Love to work behind Rodgers. Love this past season blows out the Cowboys in Dallas. I still think Falcons should draft Penix to guarantee that you don't miss a beat if 35yr old Cousins is either re-injured or falls off a cliff. That's more important than drafting a potential pass rush you ain't had for years anyway. And Landman at LB isn't good enuff, let Troy rush the passer he did it in college & draft a fast LB

@@1RobertSmith 8th is wayyy too high for a 2nd rated prospect. He did not look good against a competent defense, he's on the older side and got plenty of injuries in ht past. Would set of franchise so far back

@@enclave9614 those were young man injuries. If you recall young Vick was out a season with a leg injury and never had an issue with it again. Penix is more pocket passer than runner, just early bad luck with the injuries. They beat Oregon and Texas who most would consider as competent defenses, Michigan was just superior. Franchise QB is the biggest question in football & it means a guy who u feel u can win with for half a decade. I don't blame a team for trying to answer that question early. Outside of Pitts chasing Ditka his rookie year, haven't got much out of that 8th pick which hasn't set the franchise back. Cousins 13-4 team getting undueled by Daniel Jones in Minnesota was really that moment I cemented him as not that guy. Solid placeholder til Franchise QB is found tho but he ain't it

Terry is a BPA Drafter. We don't need to waste any picks on QB/DT/OL/LB we need to focus on S CB WR EDGE We have 3 ILB ffs...

And they’re all solid. Elliss, Landman, Anderson(coming back from injury). We don’t have to take a linebacker but an extra body never hurts to add to an already good group. Our QB is 36 coming off an injury. Our starting DT is coming off an injury and all are 30+. O line… don’t get me started. Most inconsistent RT play in the league and Matthews is getting older. Definitely positions of need. I agree we need edge,cb, maybe safety but I have faith in Hellams, and WR. The truth of the matter is our roster is mid but a good draft adding players to positions we have will help us long term. I know you don’t want Cousins, London, Jake, Terrell, or any position on the roster with a consistent player to get hurt and you gotta play a practice squad guy(like the last couple of years). Depth is important.

You're both 50% right. We *dont* need a LB. We *do* need DT. You can draft "win now" strategy and take a WR3 in the 5th this year. I think Center is still a need tbh, but I'm taking DE and DT with 2 of our first 3 picks if I was TF. That other pick can be BPA between WR/CB. I feel pretty confident the Safeties will fall and I'd be happy with DTD or Tykee Smith if we miss out on Bullard and Hicks.

The NFL is investigating. If the NFL is serious about getting to the truth, an investigation that makes the blatant tampering even more clear should not require many steps." It is CLEAR that tampering happened. The Dolphins did the same thing: "Dolphins lose first-round pick, owner suspended for Tom Brady tampering." He tried to steal Brady from the Bucs. You can wish this does not happen, but the precedence is there. Your #8 pick could be gone.

@@Bennu.4012 Did you mean "I'm hoping"? I would be VERY surprised if punishment is not handed down pre-draft, it was the same time for Miami. You many not see it that way, but the Vikings were still trying to lure Kirk back up to the last day. The Falcons got illegal medical info, and were able to buy him away from the Vikings. That was wrong. Now the Viking have to mortgage their draft capital to get a QB. It is serious stuff, even if Falcons fans refuse to see it.
