Porsche shouldn’t be slept on. They almost had a 1,3 finish in the IMSA Sebring race. Ferrari is doing amazing for their first year but everyone is still playing catch-up with GR. Predicting that Ferrari will win next year tho.

Yeah but that was because there were many cautions and no Toyota in IMSA. It obviously also helped that one of the Caddy's DNF'd. In the first WEC race Porsche wasn't on pace at all. They were slower than Toyota, Ferrari and Cadillac.

Until I see different, I can't see anyone but Toyota taking top honors in Portugal. I agree that the Dempsey Porsche team can win this race in GT. I'm not an LMP2 expert so I'll stay out of that class for now. For sure, any of about 6 LMP 2 cars can win this race and I wouldn't be surprised to see at least five on the lead lap at the end.

I think Toyota could win again, but in a very, very close battle with Ferrari, watch out for Peugeot, Vanwall and Glickenhaus, they could give some surprise, Porsche could be fast and i dont know about Caddy in this one...

well Portimao is a much smoother track than Sebring so it should somewhat compliment the Peugeot's means of generating downforce, and iirc this is where they will introduce their gearbox fix, so let's wait and see

Actually the 9x8 is a fast car, the have speed, downforce etc, their main problem is reliability, that car’s gearbox is made out of cardboard

@@motogp4658 Well Sebring and Portimao shows they are not fast at all. Their qualifying is also not that good. Maybe Sebring was too bumpy but in Portimao results are not changed

@@alialibeyoglu7532 if the reliability fixes really work out for them (which will be proven in the next few races, Portimao alone doesn't say anything) then good for them, now they just need to up their race pace
