Join Jay as he shares the Finalist for the 2023 Toy of the Year: Collectibles Category. The Toy of the Year Awards are run by the Toy Foundation a Children's Charity that focuses on delivering new toys to kids in need. GDL was invited by the Toy Foundation to share the toys in this category with you all and to let you know the public vote for all categories goes through September 8th! Big thanks to Spin Masters, Hasbro, Lego, Mattel, My Arcade Gaming, Fun In Motion Toys and Jazwares for sending these toys to review for you all!

Those Disney 100 Legos have my vote. I love the Squishmallows, and so do my kids. But two classics coming together just seem right : Disney + Lego.

I don't typically go for "adult collector" toys. I prefer toys that are meant to be played with. Thats why, despite not liking the movie, I would say the Mutant Mayhem toys have been my favorites this year. If I had to pick a specific toy I would say either the Sewer Lair or the combination Turtle Van/Pizza Thrower. Also on my list the new Marvel Epic Hero Series lines have been great. If I had to pick just one figure I would go with Starlord since he's a favorite character of mine. Also the new Batmobile from Spin Master with the prisoner compartment in the back... I absolutely love that one.

at 232 that creeps the f out, that blinking grogu, i don't remembering him blinking in the tv show, just having black eyes

for 512, i have some tiny arcade cabinets, but they aren't as big as the ones at 512, i must have a smaller version, i haven't seen that size yet at 512

Transformers Legacy Evolution for me LOL! Out of what’s on the list though it’s either LEGO Minifigures or the Mini Arcades.

It's insane how many different Squishmallows there are. Amazing how a simple plush pillow has become so collectable. Pokemon versions were bound to happen. The flood gates are now open!

Masters of the Universe Origins should win for Snake Mountain alone. It may be the best playset made in the last 30 years

If I’m voting based on my kid’s interest, it’s a toss up between the LEGO mini-figs & Squishmallows

at 351 it shows them making actual faces not blank ovals? whatever shape their heads are, like they have a lion figure and a mickey figure, so why are they still making those blank oval heads

Too early yet for a definitive list but maestro union veteran William and neca steel clan Goliath are in the running . However I just scored a Pitt fig and while it’s not a new figure it is the most awesome toy in my collection bought this year .Most of the toys on that list are super lame and obviously kid toys
