As a wheelchair user, and someone who noticed the interior ramps before they were pointed, that has to be one of the highlights of Doctor Who for me. I screamed "The ramps are wide enough to be used."

I mean, some of the points in this list *WERE* the negatives of the show. I hate it when they try to tell us that "everything is fine", "everything is great". It's dishonest, it's unrealistic and it makes me value their opinion less. What's wrong with being objective? Isn't this the channel that does Ups and Downs, after all?

I don't disagree with any of these picks- but would love an honorary mention for Sylvia Noble's 'Turkey Madras' moment. It totally summed up her desparation to keep Donna safe from all the chaos and danger, which was so brilliant after her lack of empathy for her daughter in the past.

Bigeneration is fantastic idea. It not only allows for the return of old Doctors but it also allows us to easily answer the question of the Doctor having memory of being other people. All we need to know is that OUR Doctor was always a Bigeneration offshoot Well done RTD
@ryanlockhart9102
@ryanlockhart9102 6 ай бұрын
I like the bigeneration as a one off thing, but I don't like the idea it caused all the Doctors to bigenerate. I mean- it's a show about a time traveller- they don't need a new reason for Doctors to reappear. Plus, I also really like saying goodbye to Doctors and seeing a strange new person take their place. Each to their own though.

I loved the rest of the episode as well just that part when he said I’ve got you is the only line I thought was weirdly delivered by Ncutti I was just kinda like what are they talking about. In the previous scene when they bi generate and grab each each others faces and have a different hug I loved cuz they were so excited to be alive. Just didn’t get the I’ve got you scene. For international fans a lot of this video is lost on it us cause we only got the 4 specials we didn’t get the whoiverse ident we didn’t get unleashed we didn’t get tales of the tardis we didn’t get the colorization of the daleks and we didn’t get the the show consolidated into one location so for us the whole celebration can feel lackluster in comparison while I understand it’s a British show first it just feels like we don’t matter to the bbc having so much of the 60th anniversary celebration be bbc exclusive

I would love to have seen some limit to bigeniration like saying how the old body could no longer regenerate or seeing them both colapse after the fight bit like what happened going from 9 to 10. I feel like that would have provided some balance to it and also upped the stakes for returning doctors since when they die they die plus it shows how much of a shock to the system it is.

One of the frustrating things with the Disney alliance is how they've basically removed a lot of content from outside of the UK. In Australia, I used to be able to stream Classic and Modern Who on BritBox. Now I can't stream Classic anywhere. Disney should host all previous episodes and allow everyone to have access to all the features. It really sucks now.

The reason why I think there was a by generation is because of I can't remember her name Emily posh daughter because of her giving some of the doctor her regeneration made the doctor be able to do a by generation because the doctor had a two different he got another regeneration from the thing itself from the thing where it says who is the doctor to the doctor needs help and and she answered yes so which meant means that the doctor have three different generations of itself and means that that version of doctor is his son as well as both Emily grandkid Emily.

PLEASE, every time you mention and/or big-up the Whoniverse, include 'for UK iPlayer viewers only'. You have a lot of international subscribers and it's only fair to recognise how pissed off they are that they can't get this content. Not even if they are willing to pay extra on top of the money they pay for the series via Disney+. No, the Disney money doesn't go to iPlayer, but it does pay that increased show budget - something UK viewers don't pay for.

I must say, I'm not exactly as delighted as you seem to be, for me there is too much modern Disney in this Specials and first Ncuti episode, maybe it's just me being more aware of this things since now we have them forcen on all entertainment we consume, but still, I've seen a lot of people noticing it too, so let's see what happens, but for me, it's been a negative experience overall. I just hope this doesn't continue to be like that all season. PD: Happy New Year.
@JayStrang1
@JayStrang1 6 ай бұрын
Except you aren't noticing something that's actually there. That's your knowledge that Disney is involved coloring your perception. I just rewatched most of the original RTD era, and most of Mofffat's, this year, and let me tell you, these specials are perfectly in line with what came before. There is no significant Disney influence here. That's just a basic form of cognitive bias.

@@JayStrang1a lot of people cannot accept they have a problem with musicals, people of color or lgbt people haha. There's something wrong about thinking there's something wrong with Modern Disney when I've never felt more accepted 👀

@@nailinthefashion You may feel accepted, but youve excluded everyone else. Thats not inclusion. Dr Who has sacrificed the majority for a minority audience. And now its gone down the toilet. Killed it with agenda.

Let me tell you, I didn't have a problem with Ncuti, I think he did great, and I quite liked the musical bit, as for lgbt, depends, when they are lgbt just because and don't give anything to the story or the character, then yes, I have a problem with it, otherwise I dont, but I felt like the first bit of his episode and the first special had a bit too much of "woke", but as you guys say, that could be just me, because anything on that theme throws me off, since every game or film I see has some of it for no reason sometimes, so I'm on edge with that, as soon as I see some of it, makes me hate whatever I'm watching. xD@@nailinthefashion

@@DrWhoFanJ not like that and I ve been a fan of doctor who since the the 70's and it's true it always talked about issue about our society but since the last generation the doctor, doesn't feel as the doctor anymore and you can't argue about that ...
