I just wanted to say thank you. This helped me. I did mine with a different glue, and I think you might like it. I have not done gorilla glue yet. I wanted to try some of the JB Weld SuperWeld SuperGlue. It comes with a UV Light for instant cure. I had this on hand since it is what I was using with some success. But as you know, only a few crashes and it just breaks. So I used your idea, every single step, except I used the instant cure JB Weld SuperWeld glue. It feels super strong and is hard like a rock, as well as makes the scratching sound you were making to show its solidity. Great Job! I don't know why I just didn't make a cast over it like you did.
