You would think with the server being stuck on 1.12 for so long the community would eventually run out of unique and creative things to do on 2b2t but time after time I have been surprised at what the 2b2t has been able to come up with

An awesome idea. A pity I missed it. If they do this again they could use unused old computers to run the bots instead of their main computers. These could be put somewhere out of the way, only checked on occasionally. 1.12 Minecraft, if you're far from spawn and just placing blocks, will run on a 10 year old potato. If I wanted to be technical with it (or if the computer can't handle the latest Windows or can't update to the latest MacOS) I'd convert the old computers to Linux. If I really wanted to be technical with it and the device had more than 4GB RAM I would have run more than one instance of Minecraft, using virtual machines or Docker Containers.
