Remember to check gaskets and the whole engine for cracks! Cleaning the engine first is recommended, because it’s much easier to find the leak spot!

It could also as you mentioned be bad piston rings. When the rings get older and older they start to not make as much compression/start to not seat into the cylinder as well allowing a slight but of oil to come through the oil and compression rings and into the top end being burnt up

Acum dupa un an de stat, arde mult ulei. Eu suspectez segmenti, erau vechi de un an cand s a contaminat motorul cu apa, dar nu atiu daca si simeringurile de aupape au foat afectate avand in vedere ca erau noi...Tu ce parere ai, segmenti sau valve seals? Inca o mentiune, motorul se da peste cap mai usor decat ar trebui, ceea ce cred ca e compresie scazuta.

I have a 2019 kx250f and my bike smokes a bit when turned on and reved a little bit 2 minutes later I rev it and nothing happens all normal. Also this started happening when I changed oil and put a little more coolant in it. Bike only has 4 hours on it or less

I have a ktm sxf250 2007 and its def using oil but it doenst smoke that much ... it only puffs smoke when i rev it very high ... i got my piston and rings checked and they are good and the cylinder too.What could be the problem? Could it be valve seals?

My Yamaha TTR 125cc when I brought it was smoking alot of blue smoke found out the engine was burning to much oil it was getting into the cylinder and burning out my piston rings so I had to replace piston and rings plus adjust my valves aswell

It can be apparent under certain vacuum conditions.Maybe try a circular saw.

I have a 2020 crf125. Bought used it still has original front tire and on its second rear. When I bought it it had sat a bit. And burned oil after I got it. Was very evident when going down hill then when back on throttle would puff smoke Few tanks of fuel and oil change later this has stopped but the oil consumption continues. You can smell it when behind it. Would it be as simple as the seals???

I got suzuki 98 intruder 1400 ... i have it for like a month and Half .... so I stop at the red light and lost power and the bike die I started fire up again and I drove like a block but keep stalling if I no give gas I get home and I turn off after 25 minutes I fire up again and reavven little is when blue/white smoke start come from the pipe a lot but later start go away after like 10 seconds... I turn off and after 5 minutes I fire up again and when for ride for like 25 minutes and no more smoke .... I ride for 2 days and I didn’t see any more smoke ..what u think happen was only one time smoke come ??

Your bike only burns oil because you only change the oil every 40hrs. How’s all that silica working for you now.....?

in short discussion..4 stroke motorcycles much be called disposable motorcycles....when its all brand new it works d best .when its gettin older it sucks oil whatever rebore or anythin you do...it will not restore to its new state....unlike the old 2 strokes. .easy to recondition....when 4 stroke having problems...try to buy new one thats it..
