If they do go for that reboot of Halo then they better keep up to 4 player couch co-op a thing for consoles and let pc players have the same thing without downloading and configuring other software! It just wouldn’t be the same without it.

I feel like the only way I would except a reboot is if it was a reboot that started after three and completely ignored 343 altogether also, I wouldn’t want 343 involved at all and the studio making the new series would need to promise not to hire anyone involved at 343 for the last 10 years

I'd be okay with a reboot if it is firmly planted on the universe Bungie established. If that's not gonna happen (which it wont) then forget it.

343 has so much lore and a whole expansive story just laid out for them to make a halo game or tv show off of they don’t need a reboot

Mint Blitz also had a video on this. Do I want a reboot, to coincide with Halo 3's 20th Anniversary Remaster? Yes. Do I want a reboot with the current video game developers available at Microsoft? Not a chance. Firstly, the problem with the Halo TV show is EXACTLY the same problem as the Forerunner Saga, the Kilo-Five Trilogy, and The Reclaimer Trilogy: the writers don't actually know what makes Halo work, and they're not interested. Only the current game or novel matters. Larry Niven had some crude sex in Ringworld, so naturally, they port that over, despite the fact that 98% of the audience don't want it, never had it, is too busy watching Alien or Aliens, and if you wanted romance, there was Miranda and Johnson, or Buck and Dare, and conspicuously no interaction whatsoever between Halsey and Jacob in Halo Reach. Secondly, the gameplay of Halo is based on science fiction. As far as Greg Bear is concerned, as long as he writes enough boring explanations, galaxy spanning fantasy space magic star roads imbued with the power of neurons is justifiable science fiction. As far as Karen Traviss is concerned, the Jedi are baby snatchers, the Spartans are drugged to become emotionless, Halsey is a mad scientist war criminal from World War Two (whose experiments were fatal and fruitless), and having TWO below the belt for male aliens is justifiable reason to exterminate 5/6th of Earth's population whilst becoming immortal. Also, floating Sentinels (and Halo 2 hover cameras) is sufficient reason to have Final Fantasy style floating broken bits that look like unfinished, untextured level geometry, and we may as well throw in nanomachines that repair and redesign armour from the Metal Gear franchise. What I'm trying to say is, Halo's lore isn't deep. It just pretends to be. There's about five books that are worth anything, five games that took place in 2552, (and Halo Wars may as well have taken place in 2552 as well), and the Hunt the Truth/I Love Bees audio series. The rest is quite frankly garbage, a pale imitation of what we had in those books and games, that lead nowhere.

My thoughts on remasters and remakes is they more often than not make some part or parts of the game worse in a way which is difficult to ignore or damages the overall gaming experience - the odds are stacked against a remaster or remake being done correctly, so let's just not even go there. Furthermore, once a remaster or remake is made almost always the original game is removed from stores. We also need to grow up and get over this idea that because a game looks a bit cringe that it needs a remaster or remake. Halo CE is still good to play in OG graphics and the remaster of that overall has significantly damaged the experience of that game. Halo 3 absolutely does not need a remake and if you think it does you have issues, don't care if that's harsh it's true - that game is still probably the best looking Halo ever what with its colors, lighting and brilliant bloom effects. I'm even against only the cutscenes being remastered as if they're done poorly (worsening camera angles etc) it impacts the story. Regarding a Halo reboot, I'm for it. I think a reboot of the 343 games is a good idea (the Forerunners would go back to being ancient Humans, Cortana would still be with us, we'd probably have a new interesting enemy not just the Covenant rehashed). But I know it's not going to happen. Yes there are some small stories in 343's lore I like but the important events (the ones I just mentioned) are too important. Your whole point at 4:37 is countered by the fact the story in Halo 4, 5 and 6 is terrible. The stories in the OG CoD Modern Warfare games are good. BUT, if 343 are still going to remain in charge then yes I wouldn't be in favor or a reboot as they make a whole new mess of it. And I think we should prioritise making Chief based games as Steve Downs will soon grow too old to keep this up - he's in his 70s now.

Honestly, i want them to move on from chief only because his dance card is pretty full... We have like 6 wars and he ended 3 of them, move on to an ODST or spartan other than Chief during the OT timeline, keep it basic with enemies maybe throwing marines and flood back in, keep forge/PvP multiplayer out of the game entirely, just spin it off with unlockables from the related campaign games and make the campaigns couch Co-op, do full spinoffs that way too, linked to a multiplayer arena through achievements/unlockables, only requiring any purchases in one game across the link.

If you can't "see the difference" between the last of us remastered and the tlou remake, you are actually blind. In some ways the graphics are even better than the last of us part 2, and EVERYONE, even the haters, said that game was extremely graphically impressive and a huge improvement over the previous title. It has been lauded as the most graphically impressive game of the PS4 generation and is even often cited as one of the best looking games on PS5 even... Saying tlou1 remake was not enough of a graphical leap from the original is an actually insane thing to say and I don't understand how it's such a popular take... Literally half the internet is blind and dumb. The reality is it's just popular to sh*t on tlou so people feel compelled to lie and be npc's.

I would not want 343 to remake the reason is the weapons in Halo Combat Evolved are classic I feel like if 343 remade Halo especially Halo Combat Evolved they would screw all the weapon designs up the weapon in Halo are classic and the amount of damage the weapons could do was amazing in Halo Combat Evolved the weapons were the best they ever have been for example the shotgun in Halo Combat Evolved can do 25 damage it can hold 12 rounds and you can carry 60 extra for it no shotgun in any of the other Halo games are this good I will admit there is one thing I like about the bulldog from Halo Infinite and that is it has better range but beyond that nothing it's damage sucks the amount of rounds that can hold sucks and the amount of extra you can carry for it also sucks a gun has to have more than just range it has to have power as well range is not everything the last thing is the storyline in Halo Combat Evolved is great and I don't want 343 to screw that up either I was hoping when they got the rights to Halo they would make really good Halo games but you know it's just gone downhill since Halo 4 each game has a couple things in it that I like if they could take all those things and put it into one Halo game with a good storyline that would be great so hopefully they do not remake Halo I feel like if they do a lot of fans like myself will be upset very upset

Yes, reboot it and get rid of Chief. His story was tainted by everything 343 did. Reach was in no way shape or form a great Halo but it got some things right. One of those things was its story and characters. It told a great and memorable story without Chief and the series should’ve followed suit.
