Boy this clients swing is just like mine. I played well like that (low 80's) but now that I am older my consistency and distance is suffering. As is my scores. I will be trying to hit the wall this week. Thanks for the great tips!

Hey Eric you know Adam Bazalegette did a video on the difference between the plane of the shoulder turn in the backswing as opposed to the downswing and I know for me at least this was very informative, as the downswing is at least as far as the shoulders go, much steeper or more vertical. Anyway could you touch on this more in a video, thanks.

Wouldn’t making the right hand facing toward the sky on the backswing dramatically open the club face?

It WOULD but remember he goes too far the other way SO...he needs to FEEL that just to get to neutral!

I tried to increase my rotation, add in shallowing, and do the wrist twists... all in one swing. I hit my right foot with the club and fell over. I'm about 20 min from Beth, and probably need to stop by for some adult supervision. ;)

I'm a 2 plane guy. I've tried the 1 plane, wasn't my thing. 2 high end teachers tried and I just don't respond to it. But that's just me. I do know many golfers that are 2 planers that should go to a 1. My dad switched to a 1 plane and worked for him.

The 2 plane swing is perfect for me. The 1 plane just doesn't work for me. If Jack won 18 majors with a 2 plane swing, I suspect that I can shoot in the 80s with it.

How consistent are you with a one plane swing vs two plane? Do you lose any distance?

Yea you tend to lose distance with the one plane swing but you gain consistency.

I think both of those questions/answer are debatable and likely not black/white for all golfers.

Hey Eric, I have a lesson where the individual has a perfect practice swing but when I put a ball in front of them it completely changes. Just wondering if you had any advice. I know your super busy so no stress if you don't have the time.

Constant video feedback so they can see. Go SLOWER and SHORTER. They need to buy in to exaggerating 100X more than they think for things to change.

Eric - I have been trying to fix this very thing for a long time but I have trouble externally rotating my right shoulder ( flexibility issue). I have also tried shortening my backswing but this is also difficult to stick with as I feel like I lose power. The backswing move you teach here with left palm down right palm up will help flatten the plane but frightens me a bit as it will open the club face - another issue I have just solved by bowing the left wrist and pointing the right palm to the ground. So does this mean that if right palm is pointed up in backswing (to flatten the plane) it needs to be pointed down again coming into impact (to square the face)?

IT can still be pointed UP but adding EXTENSION (bend right wrist back) will square the face like this: So its pointed UP but with the bent back its really pointed BACK behind you kzfaq.info/get/bejne/rZ-Hm8dyrN3aZpc.html Keep in mind these are EXAGGERATIONS due to the issues of the shaft getting too steep. I would do the wall drill for 20-30 reps per day next 90 days. More on wall drill coming up

I hate the term "turn". Spiral up seems to work a lot more efficiently when I teach. Prob the most efficient method for purely new beginners and int. players... I have them hold the club, no lessons on grip or anything, and have them rock back and forth. It's INCREDIBLE how they develop grip, pressure, and tempo. People are complicating lessons by describing years of experience and "in the dirt" discoveries made through their own endeavors.

Beware of Graves Golf. They have a very bad reputation for filing lawsuits against respected pros such as Chandler Rusk who was a master instructor for them, as well as Dr. Sharon Barley, and Kirk Junge who is also very popular on KZfaq. They appear to be trying to put all other pros teaching a similar concept out of business. This is unheard of in the golf industry. If you use the words Single plane or Moe Norman they will threaten to sue you if you do not take down content. If you are teaching such a swing they may also go after you.

On a oboe plane swing.... Single plane swing think you got all this wrong.... Go check kirk jungle or tod grave from Grave golf academy from Moe Norman swing. Even Bryson Dechambeu is a one plane swing. Please go back and check their swing before you talking about Sibley plane swing when you totaly wrong

@@CogornoGolf still single plane is the easiest way to swing consistent. The way you address is the same way you come at impact with the club line up....... I'm sure you know what I mean here

@@ggkk6474 correct.... I'm a Single plane swing and this is totally Different to what the really single plane swing is.... Do me a favor check Moe Norman, Todd Grave from Golf Academy and check kirk Junge. And check Bryson Dechambeu he's a single plane swing. There's too many coach on this planet that can't really teach single plane.... It totally different than convitional swing
