Tim Keller sermons via Gospel in Life: We live in a pluralistic society- how can we be true to who we are as Christians, not hiding who we are, but do it in a way that creates peace and civility? This sermon looks at why faith should be public through the lens of John 4. In the passage, Jesus speaks to his disciples about spiritual seed sowing-why does he use this metaphor, and what does it mean about sharing our faith? 1) Jesus gives us a call to spiritual sowing of seed. 2) He shows us a method of how to do it. 3) He gives us the power or inner motivation for doing it.
This sermon was preached by Rev. Timothy Keller at Redeemer Presbyterian Church on September 29, 2013.

Serving the world and Satan is exhausting. Serving God is liberating and sustaining. Amen

What a blessing this truth is, although Tim is no longer with us, God has spread a great amount of truth through him and now he gets to be with his creator!

Thank you for sharing this wonderful message of God's grace. Jesus has been my Savior for 50 years and I'm praying for people who still need to receive Him as their Living Water & Bread of Life to open up their hearts today. Greetings all from Canada 🇨🇦.

Everyone at work knows I’m a Christian because I don’t bad mouth other people. Seriously, they think I’m super religious because I’m respectful. 😂 I still need to open up more

JPB, the way you live your life is your testimony. You don’t have to preach but if someone asks…and if you don’t have an answer to a question, be honest and do a little homework. The facts are these, there is so much evidence for the resurrection that it is incontrovertible. That doesn’t mean it can’t be disbelieved or pooh poohed. Shalom Aleichem

Where I live I have a youth pastor and his wife living to one side, a "Practicing" Catholic on the other. Next to the youth pastor is a retired pastor and his wife. Next to him is an active Pentecostal member. In FIVE years since moving in, yes, I was asked about my "faith", but even when they knew my home community was now 100 miles away, I have never ONCE received an invitation to their churches, not even Christmas or Easter. Seems to me that the only thing "public" about these Christians is that their driveway is empty on Sunday mornings.

No one wants to love their enemies. Jesus died for His enemies (you and me). We didn't deserve it nor do our enemies deserve our love. Only a revelation of Gods free gift of salvation can free us to love our enemies. His love is shed abroad in our hearts. We can draw on that love to love those who do not deserve it. It is not easy.
