Angel Carter is opening up about life since the death of three of her siblings, Leslie, Bobbie Jean and Aaron Carter. In a new interview with Gayle King on 'CBS Mornings,' Angel talks about growing up with them and their big brother, Nick Carter, including what might have led the three of them down the wrong path. Leslie died in 2012 at the age of 25, Aaron in 2022 at the age 34 and Bobby Jean died in 2023 at age 41. Angel explains why she thinks they all died at a young age

Sounds like the same millennial story in entertainment. They didn't have emotionally mature parents to help them navigate. The parents saw dollar signs and pushed their kids to work without boundaries or rest.

You are probably correct. When you have a loved one that struggles with addiction such as alcohol and or drugs, you can try so hard to convince them that they need help but, at the end of the day, it’s them that they have to decide to have the will and to recognize that they need help.

I had, unfortunately, a similar childhood as the Carter kids did minus the fame. My parents fought constantly that when they finally got divorced TWO years ago, I was elated. There was always lack of boundaries and respect to one another that one of my siblings still have issues with it to this day. I have another sibling that is a recovering alcoholic and opiate user that took him a long time to snap out of it. I have been in therapy and have been taking medication since 2017 for my anxiety and depression and to be totally honest saved my life. I felt forced to deal with a lot of chaos that led me to be a perfectionist, people pleaser, and having ZERO self respect to the point that led me to thinking I was better off dead. Children should never have to deal with chaos when their only priority should be just being a kid.

Of course Nick feels certain guilt. It's human. I hope Nick doesn't feel responsible, though. He isn't. I blame the parents, mostly. The industry and social media. It caused most of the kids to want to escape it by drinking and or drugging. We addicts never know who will become an addict. Addiction doesn't discriminate. I remember being excited abiut Leslie's debut. Even bought the single disc for Like Wow. I remember when she died my heart broke for them. Then when Aaron died, Angel is who my heart broke the most for...not just your sibling, but your twin. So much loss for all these siblings. 😢

@@j.c7719 Learn about severe mental illness which at least one of the siblings had - which in his case has a genetic component and why substance-drug abuse is often a form of self medication. Don't know the family but willing to bet the root cause is at least partly mental illness.

Nick abused his brother when Aaron was growing up. Nick is the reason his brother lost his life. Aaron's parents didn't protect him. After beating a child Aaron, Nick successful got a restraining order against an adult Aaron. Nick should be in jail for the all the headlocks, sucker punches, body drags, bruises and eggs left on Aaron's body. Being hit in the head repeatedly during development can have a major impact on a person's ability to operate as an adult.

A Non-accredited one too that rebranded. It’s also “involved” because her manager (who raped & stole from, therefore was fired by Aaron) is best friends with an exec of it, so they for sure get a kickback on the back end. It’s glorified money laundering. His estate has debt he was working on when he passed, the money should pay it off & build a nest egg for his son. That would be what’s best for “Children’s Mental Health”, not repeat the cycle & give his son a chance, she has no self awareness to do that though, she surrounds herself with the people who put Aaron on this path.

My mom my dad and I are still in recovery my little brother his name was Patrick and and he had a heart attack in his sleep and he passed away from a alcohol overdose on August 2nd 2020 at the age of just 28 years old😢💔

Addiction Family issues ! Sadly That no one is Acknowledging. Their parents couldn’t Cope with the family The dad was Like Inappropriately Hugging his Daughters the mom and dad Became greedy from Their Kids money. They Need to Deal with Addiction & Trauma and GET HELP that the carters All need. ❤bless their hearts 😢 Family should be supportive Even though addiction. Family should always mean more then money Ever should ! Money can’t ever replace family.

Yea usually addicts don't" snap out of it" unfortunately. They need constant support. It's a shame but a lot of people just aren't able to offer that for reasons of their own.

Boy/girl twins don’t really look alike. My cousins don’t. And a lot of fraternal twins don’t look similar at all. My baby daddy and his twin brother do not look like twins at all.

Aaron story is very sad tragedy. I saw him as a kid while i was a kid and thoughtthat looks like fun but id rather be just a regular kid with my family. However when my dad died a few years later i did become more jealous of celebrities especially the earlier seasons of keeping up with the Kardashians as I wanted my family back.

All the money should go to his son, none of it to charity. And no, Aaron's siblings haven't met his son even though Aaron tried to rekindle the relationship many times, they refused.

They dont respect Aarons wishes a bit, didnt do it in his lifetime, dont do it now. Slandering Aaron & reduce him to being the poor mentally ill addicted little brother that was used by Others when they used him & are still using him, hiding behind the " good cause". Poor Aaron, No Justice for him, only spitting on his grave, he doesn't have because Angel & Nick decided to have him cremated only days after his death even though thats not what he wanted either, but it' s very convinient so noone can do a Second Autopsy that might reveal someone else did this to him right before the Court hearings of Nick & custody hearing coming up 😢💔
