If you're someone with ambition who wants more out of life then you're probably pretty lonely.
Trust me, I've been there...
Even though I had many friends in high school and throughout my life, I always felt like an outsider. And it only got worse once I got into self-improvement and started my first online business.
I was working all day by myself, not socializing and craving any form of human connection.
In this video, I go through the different stages of overcoming the 'lone wolf' syndrome and building a circle of like-minded friends that you can grow with together.

The biggest issue I've run into is most of my friends are either only interested in going out and drinking or they are married. I sometimes wonder how heavily motivated is my drive for success by the fact that making friends seems like a harder task

Not me: I'm Alone, but not *Lonely* - I love having my own personal space to dive into creating my dreams. I have a group of friends whenever I feel social or want some fun with others. But I never feel lonely.
@TomeRodrigo

Some people with certain childhood trauma can feel lonely because they perhaps had a narcissistic parent who didn't allow them to be themselves independently. They were only an extension of that parent while treated very arrogantly. Their healthy independence was never supported. Therefore they never developed "themselves" in the process. When they are alone they feel an extreme form of loneliness because there is no self present, there is only a toxic introject of a parent, which can a massive inner critique bullying the person in the mind. They only feel alive with other people who can love them or tell them something nice or that they matter. They can't do it for themselves by themselves. These people usually striking for very high achievements because that's how they can achieve the constant interest of others to avoid the toxic loneliness. A bit of psychology.

I completely resonate with this. By 33 I have 5 university degrees, and now a dentist on $150k/year. While I made lots of new friends at Uni, post-uni it’s become more lonely as I’ve had to disregard “friends” who were anchors (holding me back) rather than wind in my sails. It happens man 🤔

Depends on where he is from. Student debt is mostly an American thing, in many countries, there are free public universities or at least quite affordable private ones. My country (Brazil) is no standard for great universities, but I don't know personally a single person with Student Debt. It just doesn't exist. Countrywide, those who have ends up being quite easy to pay, not in any way close to what happens in the US.

This really hit me hard. Since I started university and moved into my own apartment, I have been lonely. It has become better over time because now I have some friends and a girlfriend, but it still hits me sometimes. The thing is, I have such different interest than them. All the people I know, are only worried about the next weekend and partying, while I enjoy studying and trying to figure out how to make money. I enjoy investing, I work in a startup besides my studies, and I enjoy reading. The funny thing about your video is about being a lone wolf which I can relate to so much - I have a wolf tattooed on my back, exactly because of the symbolism of being able to survive alone until you meet your pack. I have never really spoken about my loneliness so thank you for letting me know, that there are people out there, who has the same feeling as me! Great video, cheers from Denmark :)

Times are tuff . There is one thing we all need and it is each other. Nothing great can be done alone . I am walking proof of overcoming many many many challenges in my life. I've struggled I've starved I've froze like I said times are tough in the news darker days I prayed and wished and hope somebody would say something to me and notice that I've been in pain and noticed that I was struggling. But all I was faced with was denial and shutdowns. I have so much to offered to the 🌍 and just need that one chance. But I will create that chance from my sufferings and turn that into something beautiful to share with everyone. I stumbled across this video on KZfaq and I watched the entirety of it. There's a lot of great things this gentleman said in a lot of you should pay attention. Apply yourself and good things will happen deny yourself and nothing will happen. It starts within

"Ambition makes you lonely" Me as an introvert with no friends: OMG, I'm so ambitious!

Introverts are underrated and extroverts are overrated. Everyone tries to convince you having more friends is what you should strive for and that simply is not true. I have found having fewer friends to keep up and maintain is actually way more enjoyable than when I had more friends and felt obligated to then have to go out with them when I really didn’t want to.

I found thinking of friends in terms of numbers whether that be a lot or a little can help but not help as much in thinking of friends in terms of how meaningful is it to you

Ahhhh, the event vision you mentioned just sounds so magical. I truly pray it comes to life. Where all the most loving, beautiful people attend and we move forward into this evolved loving state; creating and inspiring others to create more meaningfulness in the world.

Love it! Experiencing the exact same thing, this qs just keeps haunting me all the time but so glad I found such a precise answer... honestly I didn't expect anyone to make a vid about this qs or even have anyone else experience the same thing but when I saw your vid about how u lost your money n bounced back, u talked about making frnz n that really inspired me n motivated me to work even harder on my goals cuz I knew that I can always fix my social life n connect with like-minded people once I'm where I wanna be, and this video is the cherry on top. Thank you sooo muchhh Leon!!! I wish I could meet you or talk to you but your channel's prolly gonna blow up soon n you won't even see this comment, but thanksss a lot anyways I hope the community turns out to be amazing!!! ❤️❤️

Thank you for this, and thank you for your channel. I haven't even finished the video, I've barely started it. But even if you offer no useful advice, just feeling seen is enough. It's been really hard, and knowing somebody else out there understands how it feels, makes me feel less like I'm going crazy. Thank you so much!

Ah I'm so glad I came across your videos they are so relatable! I'm highly ambitious but I'm also just into being incredibly normal LOL! The whole pumped up ambitious, fist pump type stuff is definitely not for me. But I love your suggestions in this video, I'd love to connect with more like minded people, I'm yet to find my wolf pack haha!

Interesting video, however, I find the older I get the more i treasure time to myself and being alone. I am older than you and was in a relationship with someone for over 12 years. Although there were great times being with someone it meant you lost a bit of yourself as you took on more of their interests and friends and become less you. I see people in relationships, who have kids, and who have tons of friends and acquaintances. They are always having to do so many things they do not like doing. It is like they have lost their own identity and just become part of the people around them. I admire and find the individualist going his or her own way much more interesting and at peace than the person who is swept up in the crowd. Once i no longer had my relationship and stopped trying to hang out with the work gang and became an individualist my life became so much more interesting. I no longer care or watch or listen to the popular TV shows and music everyone else does. I find my own content like this video on KZfaq. I seek out experiences based on my own interests that are not influenced by others. Be careful what you wish for, so many young people want tons of friends and contacts. Then once they get them, they become so overburdened by them spending all their time and energy trying to maintain them.

I just moved to a new state this year. And I am starting my own content creation businesses, and I can relate to this 100%. It’s sad, and the worst truth I’m fearing to come to, is that all of them are going to be there for their result but for the actual work, they have no idea.

I am exactly at this level right now. Feeling lonely. I feel like people around me cannot be my true friends. They should be someone like me who has willing to develop with big dreams and goals. Thanks for the video I feel different watching this video knowing there people out there who have been experiencing the situation I am in right now.
