Like Obiwan said in Episode 6, the Jedi's own point of view blinds them to the fact. They see themselves as balance and Sith as imbalance instead of Jedi as light Sith as dark while balance is somewhere in between. Therefore, Jedi never considered the possibility of the chosen one may not necessarily be a light side force user. Just as what Sidious pointed out, the Jedi's arrogance blinds them.

The Show writers wanted to make Grievous less like a Vader clone. They probably wanted him to seem more like a Mafia boss compared to Vaders more Head on approach to things. Grievous was not a complete coward during the Clone wars. The Scene on the Malelovance where Grievous ambushed Kenobi

Tankdavid7 The intentions of the show writers are all well and good, but that doesn't help when I don't like the final product. It helps even less that I am used to a more frightening Grievous from Legends. He's no coward in TCW, no, but he still prefers to run away if he gets the chance.

Nah, they pretty much make Grievous a loser and a coward. He runs away every time anything starts looking like a fair fight and avoids combat any time he doesn't have overwhelming force. It's the fundamental issue with bringing characters that have to survive to the end of a series and pitting them against each other. Nobody can win or lose because they all have to be alive and active at the end of the day.

Ness Boba Fett is a child/teen in TCW. That gives him quite some leeway in my opinion.

The first sith lord in years in an era where jedi (admittedly arrogantly) assumed the sith order was extinct or at the very least never going to be an open threat. So Obi-Wan technically killed the first sith lord in ages in a time period where the jedi had started to calm down and just ignore the sith in general. He was also a padawan who witnessed his master get cut down in cold blood yet he didnt become angry and let the dark side consume him, he kept his cool.

tho he wasnt granted the rank of knight for defeating darth maul. they were impressed by how he reached unity with the force for a short moment during that fight, even though he just lost his master. So for him it was not just a test of skill.

Anakin however, failed the test å multitude of times: Padme, the sandpeople, one could Even argue he failed the test in the clone war cartoon; og warned him of his future self and the lure of the dark side. But after the trial, anakin stil used the dark side on the seperatists on the planet.

Even Obi-One had feelings for someone, I can't remember who. But there was lore about it in the middle of the clone wars series. He was obviously able to control his feelings a lot better then Anakin however.

I think that's kind of a weak reasoning tbh, as Sith killed each other on a regular basis, and I don't think that makes them good material to be a Jedi.

You people misunderstand the importance of being a Jedi Master. It takes more than just skill. You also need wisdom which is something Anakin lacked. He was extremely talented and skill but also young and naive.

Anthony Doc He also lacked the maturity and self-control expected of Jedi Masters.

Anakin was upset about not being promoted to Master because it would have allowed him to access the restricted section of the Jedi archives, which would have held some secrets to keep Padme alive during childbirth. Also, for his age, Anakin was actually very wise. He wouldn't have been able to defeat Count Dooku with just his skill. The council wouldn't have let Anakin lead the 501st, the best clone troopers in the galaxy if they thought him to be "naive".

Their biggest flaw was their inability to perform their duty as commanders of the clone army. Most Jedi had no training in military strategies and command functions, yet were always given general of admiral positions, leading to many tactical mistakes. That probably pissed a lot of people in the military, adding to the general dislike on the Jedi.

@@crazysam871 Which was of course Palpatine's intent putting them into a position they were ill suited for and that would lead to them not only making mistakes, compromises, but also would bleed their numbers as the war raged on. He also knew that their feeling of moral superiority would lead them to take on the position without adequately second guessing their suitability for it because they believed themselves to be the most powerful "protectors" of the republic. He recognized they were compromised well before the clone wars with the nature and outcomes of crisis-es they inserted themselves into, sometimes taking the side of and being pawns of the amoral side of conflicts without ever realizing it (or one could argue caring), inserting them into the clone wars was just him having them do what they had been doing on a larger scale.

@@benjaminbierley2074 Just to thank you for this comment. This is what I have been saying for ages. The Jedi had been acting as pawns of the Senate, taking sides in wars and sometimes supporting manifestly unjust and immoral causes long before TCW. They were severely compromised.

There's a video about how 85% of the Jedi sent to the battle of Geonosis died because he and Yoda sent knights and their inexperienced Padawans into battle against a vastly larger force without waiting for reinforcements.

He did not have any training, he discovered the path himself, because the implication was he was so close to the force. Qui Gon always had a soft spot for Anakin, and it was he and Obi Wan who told him how to become a force ghost in his last moments.

Or honestly a mix, like 1 year until knighthood but still 5 years of war. Either I think it makes sense to be knighted fairly quickly because 1) need new knights for the war effort, 2) he passed trials especially when he already faced Dooku, etc. etc. So yeah, I like your timeline too. Either one works for me, so long as the war lasts longer than 3 years!

These traits were often defining traits of Anakin, rather than fleeting feelings that are highly controllable through discipline, as was the case for most Jedi who passed their trials &, especially, those who were masters and/or on the council.

While Anakin was very talented, he had some discipline issues. On top of that he was in a secret relationship with Padme. That alone would have gotten him kicked out of the Jedi Order. It was understandable why Anakin was in a relationship with Padme. Anakin needed emotional support which the Jedi couldn’t provide.

Pineapple Pioneer Jedi Knights can take on an apprentice but if they are invited to sit on the council, they are no longer the master of said apprentice. That’s why Anakin was no longer Obi Wan’s apprentice in the clone wars and rots.

He didn't have fellow padawans. When he started his training he was much older than the others. He was 9, they were 4-5. Pretty much this followed him and a couple years later he was by the side of Obi-Wan. Than a couple adventures, the Clone Wars started and he was a military personnel, rather than a Jedi. All his spared time was spent to meet with his wife. Remember how big and tall he is? It's not enough that the only time he could be with same age, somewhat same looking padawans, passed do to the war. But even as a Jedi/Padawan he sticked out a lot. Much better with lightsaber, force, maturity. Look at the other padawans. Some is 14, some is 20, but none of them come close to how Anakin was. An adult, an outsider. He already looked like a knight. Every time we see other padawans, nobody knows him. No Jedi beside the Council. Even though he was a padawan a couple years ago, none recognises him. Because he never met with anyone. Other Jedi/Padawan spend their time in the Order, being trained together, living together, searching the libraries, training and taking trials together.

It's literally where it ALL started...... Idk where the hell you got that "there were no other padawans" other than him at the time. He doesn't have to be there as a youngling with other younglings for them to be there too, They were STILL there when he got there and became a padawan, That literally made absolutely no sense at all. Daz , I believe that Mambo meant that Anakin didn't have other padawan contemporaries . Indeed there were many other padawans at the time , but none of them were his equals in power or life experience. Plus , most of them stayed in the temple until they were older , while Anakin spent a lot of his time on missions with Obi Wan . I read in one of the novel's ( I can't remember which one . ) that although many of the other padawans had met Anakin , most of them only really knew him by his already growing reputation. Honestly , while most of the padawans his own age were basically learning the early basics Anakin was blowing up the Trade Federation control ship . Although it technically wasn't his fault , he never really fit in with the other padawans ( except for a small few .) But none of that really matters at the moment because we don't know what Disney will keep in canon and what they will make up as they move on .

I think he passed when Padme tied him to her bed, & he didn't lose his mind, despite her continual sexual teasing in the form of an entire night spent with her performing various sexual acts on him for hours without letting him finish. She used those special blue ropes that can't be torn through use of the force to restrain him, so he was really stuck where he was.

10,000 in an Galaxy is miniscule, and the number of Jedi who'd be earmarked for combat duty with the GAR would be even smaller. Remember the 10,000 includes archivists, Temple guardians, trainers, younglings etc Those dead 63 could be more than half the orders combat ready knights and masters. I wouldn't be surprised if others like Anakin were being rushed through training to make up for the losses.
