What if the sequels were about honoring the legacy of Skywalkers in a hero who came from nowhere and had a great sense of right and wrong and bringing back a legacy that was casted into darkness after ANH, back to the known galaxy to help that person grow into a jedi and alongside them, fight against Kylo Ren, Snoke and The First Order?

I liked when Asoka starts complainig about what Anakin has become and he said: Is this what this is about? Kinda dismissing a tantrum. Anakin is above the past. He is in no path of atonement or lament. He is finally just fullfiling his potential by embracing his role.

I like that to but I also think it was to redirect Ahsoka back to why she was there. It isn’t about him anymore it’s about her. She needed to stop looking to HIS past and start looking toward HER future. At least that’s how I interpreted it.

Anakin's definitely become something far more powerful than a simple force ghost. It's like he finally assumed his true form of the Chosen One. His being surpassing both Anakin as a Jedi Knight and Vader as a Sith Lord. And I love it!

@almightytm2399 they are also in the world between worlds which seems to be like a plain of existence created by the force. It isn't the physical realm that we are seeing him in which is why he isn't coming across as a force ghost

I think an important part is when Anakin mention Obi's name. Like now he understands why he was trained the way he was trained. It is mirrored in Ahsoka, when she asks if she is just a warrior. The character of Anakin here has wisdom and it shows (and not in a bad way either). It isn't that he knows everything he just understands. It was 1. Really nice seeing Anakin like this in LA. 2. Seeing that hayden was and is still the correct actor to play this character.

@@ZeroProko Give me a full on trippy as hell show about force mysticism and Anakin’s journey through the afterlife, fully establishing him as the Chosen One, starring Hayden, with cameos from Ewan, Frank Oz Yoda, Natalie as Padme, Liam as Qui Gon, and Shmi. He was so good last night. Arguably the best portrayal of the most important character in the entire saga. After years of Lanter being touted as the superior Anakin, Hayden finally got to cement himself as the definitive version.

It was also probably liberating to not be limited by his own happiness, as well, like when his lungs healed enough to not need the life support systems. His elation at this ended up causing him to die, so he had to beat down his happiness simply just to breathe.

He is one with the force now, fulfilled the prophecy. He is both young Anakin and Vader, and his is binding the force sides together, bringing balance. Filoni can bring SW back to what SW was, amazing job. So happy Hayden is back, and now he is the hero again!

So glad Hayden is finally getting a chance to really fill into the role of Anakin. I think he was good in Revenge of the Sith, but that movie should have been in two parts to properly showcase his descent. Glad they didn't cop out with voice in the Force or a flashback; we have Anakin, here and now as a character in the current time and in the current plot. Awesome!

@@sallgoodman2323 Let's just hope they keep the consistency and don't cop out by making it so that this was just the Force teaching her a lesson by using Anakin as some sort of avatar or vision, or worse, the Son in disguise somehow. Either this is Anakin fulfilling his role as the Chosen One inside the Force, or he has replaced the Father as he proved he could during the events on Mortis. Or, though not preferably, this is merely Anakin's Force ghost giving his padawan the training he wasn't able to give her years ago, the same training Qui Gon gave to Obi Wan and that Obi Wan and Yoda gave to Luke as Force ghosts. Come to think of it, this show could really have just been the sequel trilogy. Do you know how much praise Disney would get for bringing Anakin back, as a character in this way? Instead of just a voice amongst all the Jedi speaking to Disney's new Chosen One? Man, Disney would be lauded and the fans would ride or die for them, lol. But yeah, let's hope this turn in the franchise is consistent and not just a fluke. Let's hope Disney finally takes some notes. The last time there was this much engagement with Disney Star Wars content was Vader in Fallen Order, not even Luke appearing in Mando had this much engagement. Luke appearing in Mando was fan service. So was Vader in Fallen Order. But this? This is loyalty to story and character.

I like the idea that Anakin would be all three of the Mortis at once. I love the idea that Anakin did in fact become more powerful than Sidious or Yoda, by realising his full potential as the chosen one, after dying; something no other Jedi or Sith had done before.

Since the first time I watched the Mortis arc I've believed Anakin, following his mortal death, would finally accept his role as The Father. I wish they would've confirmed it by having Anakin extinguish the Saber in Ahsoka's hand like The Father had done to him years earlier But I understand why they would keep it ambiguous

I think watching the Episode twice is essential to appreciating it more. The first viewing was amazing, but I was a little confused with what was going on with Anakin and Ahsoka, but after watching it a 2nd time I was able to appreciate it more. Also, Huyang is one of the only droids in Star Wars that takes Jedi abilities and the Force into calculation when asked what the chances are, lol.

He did open a Sith artifact before, so Ezra have been using the dark side before. I like it. And Ahsoka did save the daughter and have a connection with her.

Where have people got this from? Honestly nothing in this episode has anything to do with the Mortis gods. Ahsoka is training a padawan so the person she saw as a ghost or illusion or whatever was her own master. It has nothing to do with Mortis, Anakin isn't the main character in this. He's a support character to the current story of Ahsoka and Sabine

It also would be pretty cool that Ahsoka is the daughter and Galen Marek the son, as both were trained by Anakin/Vader I start to wonder if the father was the chosen one before Anakin and Anakin got created when the father was too weak, so he would replace him for the next millenias.

And the scene with him was his resolving of of his padawans fear, anger and pain. Refining her view of things, showing exactly what she needs for not only survival but to pass on what she has learn- it reminded me of yodas words- "pass on what you have learned. Failure folly- failure most of all. The greatest teacher failure is". He is teaching her to grow beyond what he was and what the Jedi order itself was. Being a jedi showed that they are more than keepers of the peace, more than soldiers. They are human and as in need of everyone around them. That everyone isnt lost if you are there to help them find their way. He did this also to remind her what it means to be a master in her own right- something he failed as. He showed her that she had to hold these truth to let go of her conscious self and fight and if necessary sacrifice. It was madsively touching scene. Its a shame kathleen kennedy never bothered to pay attention to this stuff.

Big fan of him being the last Mortis god. That way he can always do what the force tells him to do. Let Ashoka retain her memories in her younger form to better learn the lesson Baylon has preached in the begining in order to create one must be willing to destroy. Ashoka has had to destroy in the past now she can help create a new Jedi order. Stay in the new galaxy leave the old galaxy behind and never return to it. Hera stayed behind her destiny is the battle of Exegul. Let Ashoka, Baylon, Sabine, and Ezra forge the new Star Wars vs the Vong, grisk, rakata what ever villains Dave wants to use. I’m here for it

It would not surprise me in the least if Dave's big plan is to build his own galaxy. One that Ahsoka, Sabine, and Ezra bring the light to. One that Anakin can bring balance to as the chosen one. And more specifically, one that could be home for Dave's own trilogy of movies.

It is so crazy to see an enlightened Anakin. He doesn't regret his past. He accepts it as something that happened. Maybe he could change the past with his newfound power, but what would be the point? That all happened for a reason. He understands the burden of his power. Understands that that to change things according to his own will would be selfish, which he spent too much of his life being. I'm kinda just rambling here, but I'm just so happy to see Anakin happy. He's content. At peace with his role in the galaxy. I love it.

I wouldn't call Anakin a God. Anakin is part of the force and will never leave Ahsoka. Anakin is like a father to her. He wanted to help complete her training and give more meaning to her life. Anakin certainly doesn't want Ahsoka to go the same path as he did. It was awesome and yet scary to see what he was showing her. Anakin certainly wants Ahsoka to succeed with all that she is and what he has given her. Anakin is a devoted and loving master. He loves his Snips.

Well the father told anakin he wanted him to take his place, to be the actual balance to the force. Obi wan even told him he was meant to bring balance to the force not destroy it. And I think this is proven with ahsokas clothing and appearance, at first she was dressed on darker clothing then when we seen her in rebels. But when she woke up the sun shined like she see the light again and she worked white clothing showing her balance. Which happened after her training with God anakin

God or not, it seems like he has definitely managed to master the balance of the light and the of dark entirely, and he has a full control of what he is doing in "the world between the worlds" realm. However, it appears like he might be slightly in favor of light as he willingly teaches Ahsoka the final lesson; he obviously wants her to succeed in her mission of saving Sabine and Ezra, stopping Thrawn and possibly many more things/adventures to come that we are in this very moment not aware of....but, Ahsoka must willingly choose her path which she does.......It is possible that mastering the force on such a high level he managed to become "the only existing Celestial", as no other true Celestials exist any more........or perhaps that remains to be seen.....it would be interesting to see what Anakin thinks of "Palpatine clone development project" and if he played a role in Rey development as well as in a process of bringing Palpatine down......

Star wars doesnt have to be complicated. Thats where Obiwan and Andor fell short. Andor had several plots every episode that seemed to go nowhere. Remember episode 3 had that 15 minute chase? We need more of this Ahsoka formula where we get one main plot and the whole episode is dedicated to it.

I dont know if anyone felt it too, but for the whole show ahsoka wasnt feeling very... ahsoka, until after the world between worlds sequence. She just feels more herself and more whole.

Did you know that according to “Bespin Bulletin” there was a fight scene shot between Anakin (as Hayden Christensen) and Ahsoka (as Savannah Steyn instead of Ariana Greenblatt, at least for that scene) on Mustafar in an alternate-reality-like setting during the "world-between-world like" moments, which they said was cut from the actual episode? In that scene Anakin would have showed her that she couldn't have changed his fate to become Vader even if she were there at that point, which would have taken away a lot of her guilt of her not having been there and not being able to save him, resulting in the now more light-hearted Ahsoka. They cut that scene, maybe cause it wasn't really a memory and/or cause Anakin's message/lesson was a different one? Though I still hope they would release it as a separate video on YT or sth like that, cause I would really like to see what that scene (and Savannah Steyn as Ahsoka) would have looked like and it also explains a bit better imo why Ahsoka is more enlightened and happy at the end. That scene would therefore have even shown that he had the power to show alternate scenarios of basically any event which would have been pretty cool and would have made him look even more powerful as the beeing he now (probably) is.

I feel like Anakin was trying to help her understand that light or dark, life goes on. we have to fight for what we believe and thats what defines us. Also, it seems like when anakin fights he assumes the dark, and when he teaches he assumes the light. Also thanks for calling out the fact that Anakin heard " i wont fight you" from luke. this really drives home that he became vader to fight ahsoka and how she chose not to give in to hate just like luke did

I love this.. for me anakin story is star wars.. and this theory makes his role as the chosen one perfect.. it makes me feel like its ok that his bloodline is ended.. makes me feel i can close the book and say "the end"

I might be overthinking this a bit so bear with me. So as everyone who has seen Rebels knows, WBW allows one free movement through time as well as view events with more clarity then a simply vision through the Force. As a god, or Celestial, or whatever you want to call him, Anakin now has full access to WBW, meaning he could at the very least see across all of time. My question is was everything that happened really the will of the Force, or did Anakin pull an Eren Yeager and manipulate events from WBW in order to ensure that balance was maintained?

But this episode just semented anakin as my favorite Disney canon character in legends it will always be Luke but anakin was always important to me and Dave did him and Hayden so much justice and for that Dave has earned my respect a thousand times over

This is great! I heard this at Theory's. I love this episode! Anakin definitely brought world between worlds on Mortis. Anakin became God. He is everything,he sees everything. He is child of the Force. No doubt. Everything is perfect! Story,Anakin teaching her,their fight,him giving her advices. I think this is how they’ll tie in the sequels, If this is solid form Anakin, and his actual lightsaber, I believe he is the figure in the comic book of Empire Strikes Back at the bottom of the shaft that catches the lightsaber after its cut from Luke. Thus passing it onto Rey when she needed it, considering she had no ability to build her own. Almost like the Chosen Ones, Chosen One The sequel trilogy will feel so weird and off because Anakin is actively using the World between Worlds to guild everyone through the story arc. This would not be the most satisfying, but it’s not horrible. He’s finishing off Palpatine with the World between Worlds which is a tool Palpatine wanted to use, now Anakin is Immortal and can guide the galaxy in whatever direction he chooses. Maintaining the actual embodiment of balance in the force, while also having the tools to maintain balance in the force if it ever starts to become unbalanced. The story would be complete in a way, or at least have a “and they lived happily ever after”, as long as Anakin was the only entity that could access the World between Worlds.

I kind of see it, the way y’all explained it that as being the chosen one born of the force, she also ascended to become the last celestial. Well, I don’t see him as being a true celestial in the way that the gods of Mortis are to means he is Basically a re-envisioned of them that the force created it being to be able to maintain the balance of light and darkness so I really do see him as being the continuation of the father. He finally fulfilled what the father had predicted all the way back in the Mortis arc.

You could tell Anakin had perfect balance and control of the light and the dark at the end of the duel, when he closed his eyes and deliberately changed his sith eyes back to normal. Great scene.

This is Anakin ascended, having reached a balance beyond just the light and dark side of the force. Providing a new meaning to the « bring balance » of the Chosen One prophecy. Regardless, it was awesome seeing the swift, dominating, elegant, full potential Anakin in action (with a perfectly embodying lightsaber form) against the skilled but wandering Ahsoka. And a glimpse of the beast he could've been without Obiwan's intervention in Mustaphar. 🌟 And there are hints of Ahsoka possibly also being able to reach that kind of balance...

A small but important detail; Anakin’s namesake is Ananke the Orphic Greek goddess of Necessity, Compulsion, and Destiny. Ananke and her children, the Moirai, weave and direct the fates of all gods and mortals.

Fun theory, but I think he'll get nerfed at some point. They'll either show that all Force ghosts can do it and he's not special, or Ezra will effortlessly tank him, or someone will suck him into a Ghostbuster containment box like Dr Manhantan in the HBO Watchmen. Can't be having him be bad-ass. That's only for the new characters.

Give me a full on trippy as hell show about force mysticism and Anakin’s journey through the afterlife, fully establishing him as the Chosen One, starring Hayden, with cameos from Ewan, Frank Oz Yoda, Natalie as Padme, Liam as Qui Gon, and Shmi. He was so good last night. Arguably the best portrayal of the most important character in the entire saga. After years of Lanter being touted as the superior Anakin, Hayden finally got to cement himself as the definitive version.
