All excellent points. Suppression really helps wildlife during hunting. Keeps the unintended animals hearing intact keeps from startling them.

Nice video! I finally bought my first two suppressors in August (obviously still waiting for tax stamps). I bought both through Silencer Shop, it really was extremely easy. Fortunately the dealer that is handling the final transfer is also a range, so they allow conjugal visits with my suppressors while they sit in NFA jail. I'm looking forward to part two, because now I'm eyeing up other suppressors to add to my collection.

You are absolutely right about the easy process when using a kiosk. It took me about 25 minutes to get everything correct. Those sensors on the kiosk are sensitive and you have to be accurate, it will tell you if your not over and over and over lol. When I bought a 2nd can it literally took me 3 minutes. The gun store will charge you to use the kiosk if you didn't buy it from them and some will charge you a transfer fee. I got mine from 2 different gun stores that's how I found out. Should have both of my Sandman S cans no later than August of next year hopefully sooner.

Appreciate the video. I’ve mostly been a hand gun shooter and never got into suppressors. Until recently. Got my first AR and wanted a suppressor but wasn’t sure of the process. Looking forward to the second part.

As someone that owns suppressors let me just say a few things. I will never shoot a rifle without a suppressor every again. Buying them can get addictive. However you can get one can that works on all your guns and pistols. Just have to do some research and most of them from reputable companies will all work the same. Some are quieter than others but you wont notice the difference. Weight and length are a huge factor and so is mounting options if you have multiple guns.

If the Discovery Channel ever focuses on firearms then they should definitely give you a call. Or perhaps start with Recoil tv? For your next video(s) on suppressors it would be cool to learn either the most efficient combo of cans that could fit a rifle AND a center fire handgun and if there are any changes needed on the sights since cans seem to run higher than the barrel. Well this was a long request but curious minds want to know! 👍🏻🙏

Nice video, something to touch on in part two that you didn't here in the buying process is trusts. Laying out pros and cons and how they integrate with silencershop for the layperson would be nice.

I've been using a linear compensator from kaw precision. Not a suppressor/silencer but I can definitely tell the nose is focused just like you are saying.

Its crazy how much misinfo is out about them. I took mine to the range and the range officer is a former SWAT officer for the local PD. Told me he wasnt getting one because he didnt want to pay 200 bucks a year or let the ATF just come to his house anytime they wanted. After a bit of arguing with him and showing him the law a couples weeks later he was asking for recommendations lol
