Because (some) Singaporeans feel that a European-sounding name makes it more atas, and they are able to haolian to others about it. So those who build condos are more than happy to oblige their desires

Another kinda popular names is if the condo is next to a river. Here comes all the river and water inspired name. River Place, Riviere, Rivercove, Riverfront, Rivercove, River Bank, Water Place, Water Garden, Water Edge... never ending list
