Indian tax payers do not get a fair deal in terms facilities like, pure drinking water, health care and educational facilities, care of the elderly etc.

It’s not just tax that makes them run. By that logic most of Western European countries should not have any millionaires. Poor quality of life, rampant corruption, bad infrastructure incl. education & health are the key reasons.

Prof. Arun is forgetting one critical thing. When someone pays higher taxes in those scandinavian countries, "THEY" get benefits in return. When someone pays taxes in India, they get nothing in return. A big "THENGA" (middle finger). Indian tax payer is juiced and money is used for freebies, statues, funding political campaigns and the list goes on. While social welfare for the poor is definitely needed, the lines between welfare and blatant freebie culture are now blurred. As all things in the universe, everything turns towards equilibrium. We crorepatis don't want to just leave India without reason or to save out on black money. We are ready to pay taxes given they are used fairly and benefits the tax payer to any extent.

I paid 6 lakhs as GST last month and today I don't have money to buy Chair for me. My profit margin is 10 % and out of it I pay 18% to govt as GST .

After paying such a huge taxes no improvement in health care system (forcefully you have to use private hospitals), no proper education services (no addmission without bribe ) and no security (anyone can harass you at anytime).

What about GST ? On many products/services it is too high, which everybody pays irrespective of his/her income. The poorest of the poor too pays GST even if he purchases a match box costing just 50ps. It is actually the politicians who are enjoying at the expense of tax payers money as they themselves do not do any business or job to earn money.

Higher tax and corruption in india is the main problem. If anyone going to start any factory or business there is so complications for businessmen. I also frustrated from system.

I have personally witnessed in my professional career that factory owners throughout India are coerced to give money to political leaders from BJP,Congress and regional parties ,also by the District Magistrates ,SSP (police), SHO (police).If business owners refuse to fulfill there criminal demands they are implicated in the false court cases,many business owners commit suicide every year after being ruthlessly tormented by these parasites. There is a long list of parasites that suck the blood of business owners in India. This is one of the most compelling reason why millionaires are leaving India, Prof Arun has been shrewdly evading this stark point in order to not to upset political bosses and save his pension

Poor and youth too are trying to leave the country as thete is no scope for them. The millionaires are losing out to the billionaires who are hand in glove with the ruling party. Everyone is losing out in terms of money, land, health, mind, education and respect, to list just a few.

Being one of the highly qualified (I'm currently at NASA) who is planning to not come back to India, I have seen many of my like. I can say for sure I've and am ready to pay even 34% tax with relatively low middle class income abroad. For that matter I was paying that at Oslo, Norway until last year when I was employed there in University in research wing. The main point is the socio-political and economical situation for highly qualified in India is pathetic. In scandinavia or many western countries which are societies that have higher scientific temper and rationality in society and politics, I personally feel more at home and easy to live. On top we get great benefits and returns from govt. and socities in terms of well being, better care for family and kids and better education and '0' social policing. People are basically migrating to places where they feel 'at home and comfy'. I would not want my next generations to live in a society where education and rationality takes a back stage and these days one can even get harmed for pointing out a rational/common sensical flaw. Its simple - I never chose india to be born - that was a chance event, but I can chose now where I feel home and settle before its too late and one gets stuck. People with money or brains who sadly only has that second choice and hence they migrate more.

The main reason certainly is the inflation, the corruption, injustice, lawlessness by BJP. Also they've passed many unjust laws like against the farmers, the airports to be purchased by private owners, contracts to BJP affiliated businessmen, everything is being diverted to BJP and the Upper caste people, from the jobs posts to political posts. Above that they passed the EWS reservation which is only and only meant for Brahmins, whereas the other reservations are divided into thousands of castes, and it is not even sufficient as per their population. Whereas the EWS is like a huge 10% portion of the reservation lent to the small Brahmin population along with the general quota and sudama quota, and many Brahmins also enjoy SC OBC category in various states. Hence this BJP is the RSS led propaganda party, only aiming for Brahmin dominance which they obscurely call as Hindu rashtra. They're destroying the nation from every direction.

Funny thing is I have seen farmers having 60-70acres of land pay no tax. Where as a businessman pay tax for every penny he earns.

Some of the reasons for HNI leaving India is that they are not getting a fair return for the high taxes they are paying. In foreign countries also they pay high taxes but atleast they get some good quality of life in return. The tax money is well utilized for the benefit of the general public in foreign countries.

Tax may be less for hni, but for salaried employees tax is very high. We can not compare Germany, etc. We middle class pay tax and dont get anything back in return in the name of education, health, social security, etc.

My point is that we need to revise whole tax formulas,stop all cash transactions above 50k,reduce all slabs of gst,there should be no income tax up to 25 lakh and only one slab of 30% above 25 lakh. Full support to all business men by govt.and strict policy for transfer of money and business outside country.

I watch "The Wire" only because of fair journalism, having best minds like Karan Thapar, Afra Khanum, Siddharth Varadarajan, Sidharth Bhatia, and M. K. Venu etc and I personally believe the above mentioned aren't only well educated but also they are serious and sincere for speaking the truth without bothering of Modi, Tadipaar and their Gang's of Hindutva Terrorists. However, I was shocked when I watched this particular video of a young journalist (nothing wrong about him) but the person who was invited to speak the subject and I found, he's too illogical, inexperienced, having no knowledge whatsoever etc. He gave the examples of Western world taxes. And, I was shocked like.. Really..? Did he really say that..? Seems, he has never been to any of the Western Countries including Germany etc. The taxes people pay in West aren't angry and upset over it, instead they're well aware, satisfied and know where their taxes are going, they know their Govts has the responsibility to prove, and any person, doesn't matter rich, middle class, labourers, poor or even a homeless and drug addict has the right to ask directly on PM's face to know... "Where the F......g money of taxes going and it is almost impossible for the PM to ignore and walk away. Firstly, this is what is called "The true Democracy". If PM won't answer..? the entire country backs up the person including media and question the PM as hard as possible. And, the fact is, taxpayers in Germany pay their taxes gladly knowing the tax money is being used to provide each and every single citizen & residents (like myself) gets the world class, In fact, the best of the best than the world class, free treatments, absolutely free hospitalisations, free medicines and it does not matter whether it's a flu or heart diseases, cancer or any other minor or major health issues and in few rarest of the rarests cases people has to pay for medicines at 95 to 97% Govt subsidised price and pay only as little as 3% cost, and it is Govt (if the medicine price is over 5 euros then the German Health care services which is Govt's organisation pay the rest, Govt schools are as good and crystal clean than any private school building in India. Schools exists in every suburb, no more than 21 students in one classroom, free supply of uniforms, books, stationery and every single item. Each and Every School are built on hectares of the land and it is totally upto the student to decide which sport they want to, all sports related items are supplied at no cost to the parents, etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc. India & Indians can't even imagine the services provided to the common population of the country. I totally agree with a very little video clip at the beginning of this video.... Why the Indians are paying taxes...? When you are not getting anything in return...? Why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why why....?
