Any advice on who I could talk to about buying a property 50-100 acres within 1.5 hours of Madison?? Also needing advice on having multiple dwellings on one property, but within one family?

Hello Shank28. If you go to my company website at Whitetailproperties.com you can search for an agent by county and state and you will find a Land Specialist Agent. I lead you there as I’m not sure which direction you’re going from Madison Wisconsin I’m assuming north. But it depends on which way you travel because the Whitetail Properties land Specialist Brooke by counties. So you’re really talking about one of me before different agents in that radius. In regards to having multiple dwellings on a property all owned and within one family that would be a question that I would post to the local township supervisor in the property that you end up purchasing. Each township will have its own rules. The challenges that you may not be able to get a definite answer until you actually on the property and submit your plans. Many of them will ask you to submit your plans but you won’t want to spend the money on plans for a property that you do not yet on as they may turn down your plans and you may not get the property in the purchase process so you will have spent money and got nothing! But often times you can call the township and get a very general idea what they will allow but realize that when you actually submit your plan things can change. I’ve experienced townships that are very liberal and I was able to simply call the supervisor and get a pretty solid answer. And I’ve gotten blown off by other township supervisor saying “well draft up your plan with a full survey And then show up at the monthly meeting and we will put it on the agenda.” Thanks for the comment.
