I prefer 4 because its set in the UK and man they did the setting so well..feels so realistic.

Here where I live, the Forza Horizon 4 servers, for some reason, have more people than the FH5 servers. But I can't blame them. If Horizon 4 had the car sounds and features from Horizon 5, I would never play FH5 again. FH4 has an amazing vibe.

Either way, Forza Horizon 4 was the first Forza game that I started making and sharing my content with liveries. Great Britain was probably one of the BEST mainland maps of the Horizon games. Fortune Island introduce the LONGEST Drift Zone and Treasure Hunts, and LEGO was a funny and enjoyable expansion. But the mainland of Great Britain was PERFECT, it was made for Seasons. It is green for Summer, red for Autumn, white for Winter and a bright green and purple for Spring. We had one main festival and a bunch of player houses. This was also the game where they had a perfect amount of fun experimenting, we got The Eliminator, Super 7 and even the Festival Playlist. Also, it was the last Forza game to ever have cars and events from Top Gear (that show before we got Donut Media and stuff). It also being the first on Game Pass and Steam too. So in reality, it is a combination of all of them that makes it the best game + it is still going even after 5 years of release and 3 without content.

I just went back to FH4 a couple days ago and was surprised to see how many people were in the lobby just driving around together. I dont think ive ever seen more than 4 people in 1 place on FH5 outside of the drag strip

I went back to FH3 a few days ago I still love 5 but I forgot just how amazing the roads and the driving itself is in FH3 it’s just so so good

Because you can mod it much more than FH5 since they effectively turned off the anticheat. This allows me to make some pretty cool modded custom engines and many other things like custom Forza Edition cars, fading brake lights and wider FOV. And together with another modder from the FH4 community, I've been working on a mod called BetterFH4 that features some of these things.

season changing each week keeps the map fresh. this is what i miss from fh4.

The fact that FH4 is still on Game Pass and not delisted yet is a good sign that future Forza games will have a longer lifespan in terms of being available on Game Pass, available to purchase digitally, and the online features are still available. Even the delisted Forza games you can still access the single player mode despite the online features no longer working. The same can’t be said for The Crew, which is unfortunate.

FH4 was the first game I played when I first got my xbox in 2020, so the combination of music, nostalgia, and gameplay make the perfect combination for me

I go back to it still, becuase it's still a great game to cruise in. DLCs were great, inc Strom Island that still has some great roads. Seasons, as reddit was full of "I miss winter" when Horizon 5 came. It just did alot of things right. Simple as that.

It was the first horizon game I really put heaps of effort into and I have heaps of cars I still love driving. I love the winter season as well because I’m from Australia so driving in snow is super rare. Yes I do have blizzard mountain in horizon 3. But it’s not a full map. Horizon 4 feels so cozy. And last of all. I love the sounds. The viper and M4 GTS are my main drivers. And the ID.R is awesome. The downshift sounds of the V8 McLarens and the W16 Bugattis are awesome as well. There are too many things I love about it

More people prefer this game than you think. I personally enjoyed the side content, car selection, and environments, especially in the autumn and spring seasons

The roads are tighter on FH4, giving a better sense of speed and making it feel more challenging and then rewarding, when cornering. Its like they made FH5 feel too easy.

I just love playing fh4 cause I like the roads and the sceneries better on the Britain map. Love the mountains in fortune island too for drifting.

I think they may be playing to listen to that menu music , that thing is calming and beautiful flippin love that music

Fh4 will always be my favorite, the game feels so full and that they didn't skip a detail and I love the diversity of the map and all the small towns around the map. the seasons were so fun to drive in and i still plau fh4 from time to time

I play FH4 all the time maybe even more than 5. I play it on my ROG Ally and did a fresh playthrough when I got it so on top of still playing on my Xbox. I did a fresh start on Steam also. Something about it definitely keeps me going. The only thing I truly hate is that it dosent show which tires your car has in the garage. So you need to remember which ones you built for off-road and drift

Knowing forza since 2005 or just earlier. FORZA HORIZON 4 is the first in the series I have owned and EVR played and i love it drifting around the city or just doing highway racing.

i pre ordered the demo and i loved it so much i finally got that actual game and oh my god am i having fun. it's such a good game if im being honest. the only thing i dont like is that you can't sell cars. like if you buy a car that you end up not liking it's just permanently stuck in your car inventory.

It's been 5 and a half years since I last played Horizon 4. Playing this game gives me those high school vibes when I would come back from school to play this game everyday. I do remember playing the expansion packs as well and they were fun as I bought the ultimate edition but I was able to get a chance to do money making methods to get a chance to try out the cars that I like. I miss those times and I wish I would travel back in time to those years as it brought the best vibes. It is better than Horizon 5 tbh but Horizon 3 and 4 is what brought me to those high school years as playing these games made me feel those memories in me. Both of the maps in 3 and 4 were the best but I like the 4th one while the 3rd one had a luxurious feel for Surfers Paradise.

The Drivingfeeling is WAY better in FH4. Thats the Reason iam not playing FH5 anymore.

I love the FH4 map and scenery in the different seasons. FH5 just doesn't have the same feel to me. The autumn colours are amazing. The winter scenery is amazing. You said it at 9:38 - "The game does look really stunning" - that sums it up for me.

Fh4 introduced me to the series, and I feel lots of nostalgia for it (for not even long time ago😂2021) whether it’s cruising down roads really fast, or driving like a civilian, I still love playing this game way more than 5 and I like the map better.

The map is beautiful and the fact that you can still see many players romaning in the online service make me wanna play even more. Even if my fav forza will always be fh1. You can still find players online to this day

Bro what FH4 fortune island had "drift mountain".. was Iconic always hotspot in freeroam I myself go back there just to hit some tandem with the OGs that are still online

every horizon just kept getting bigger and bigger to where it just became overwhelming to just even look at the map and the things to do in it. i wish they made it more controlled and focused like horizon 1, at least that game nailed its atmosphere

Horizon 4 is just THE Vibe and in my opinion the peak of free roam racing. I cant enjoy 5 a bit, 4 is still the God of free roam for me.

i dunno, even tho i have them both and played both of them, I felt that forza horizon 4 is home to me while forza 5 more like chores to do, even the weekly and forzathon still more alive in forza horizon 4

I did buy 5 on sale with the DLCs, but was a hard choice between FH4 and FH5, I am already 44 hours in and it is so much things to do and I love it. I plan to buy FH4 also, but I am not sure if it is smart since FH5 will keep me busy for a very long time LOL.

I played fh4 up to fh5, played it for a while, then returned it later, diss liked it the more i played it. You talked about nfs 2012. I loved the MP in that that game, good thing you talked about it cause i made an f150 Raptor K-9 theme from that game. I play fh4 still cause i made a lot of racing themes n ideas.

this is my favorite horizon out of all of them, horizon 1 was alot of fun, horizon 2 was boring "fight me" horizon 3 didn't have enough to do besides the bucket lists, horizon 4 has everything to do and love, seasons missions and all and horizon 5 is just a new number to the series lol

I've been going back to the older cords horizons to do the dlcs, was needing to start at blizzard mountain but unfortunate that that one is already delisted. So I've been playing for as horizon 4.

Horizon 5 just feels like an expanded dlc for horizon 4. Plus the setting of driving in the UK to me is more interesting than Mexico

No matter how bad the vehicle sounds are, and the lack of features, it is by far the most nostalgic and the forza game that has made me happiest over the years. and just something about the map that is just incredible

Played Forza horizon 4 the last few times I've been on the xbox. Just feels a nicer environment and gameplay, but also I find the Mexico environment boring. I live in Scotland so that also might be the reason why I still play Horizon 4

For me it’s the map it’s very pleasing to drive and theres many things to look at unlike for forza horizon 5 which just flat it’s very beautiful but flat just gets boring fast

Forza horizon 4 was the first game I played for more than 500hrs , mainly due to playing the Lego expansion with my son. I believe more people will be playing it on xbox as it’s one of the game pass core games. Pay for multiplayer and you have access to FH4.

Started heavly playing this throughout this year I love selling and painting cars and the tuning system is smooth, if only there was bikes it's would be perfect

The driving experience in FH4 is awesome. The map holds up so much better than FH5. Just cruising around in an Abarth or Honda CRX in the UK is so scenic and beautiful 🤩

I play Horizon 4 over 5 because the map is way batter along with the music and there are still loads of cars in the game that still never made it to FH5. I think you're underestimating how big Horizon 4 was I'm pretty sure it was the most sold exclusive game for the Xbox One
