All parties in Nepal doesn't care about our national interest and security. I hope younger generation like you realize this. Ideologies are like car show room brochure. Our leaders read that and try to drive our country.

For industrial development electricity is not the only factor affecting it, it's one of the factor, the other things that gov. should focus on are the policies to attract foreign investment, country stability, Incentives, etc... And Salami Slicing tactic is referred to the grabbing/ illegal occupation of land by China small by small over time, and in general context, it's applying small actions overtime which will have large impact later on, then how is it related to what the sir has told? Either he should explain what he ment by that or he should don't use the word without an actual context.

1) BRI projects like Gautam Budha International airport and pokhra airport will be taken by the Chinese import export bank 2) China had done a blockade for 2 years in Nepal 3) Nepal wants to use the electric grid in India to export to Bangladesh 4) Nepal unable to pay even the interest rates to the Chinese banks The reasons.... Bhutan has NO industry and does not require a lot of electricity for its small population

1. Gautam Buddha international airport and Pokhara airport aren't part of BRI. Infact not a single BRI project has been implemented in Nepal. Infact its India that has prevented the smooth functioning of these airports by not allowing the air routes. 2.Blockade or the border closure was caused by covid-19 pandemic. Trade on the northern side is insignificant. Most of the essential products comes from the southern side, even the products from china. Therefore border closure didn't cause a humanitarian catastrophe like when india did blockade. 3. Population of Nepal is not small at all . its population is 50 times that of Bhutan. Nepal needs electricity for itself . Many parts of nepal is still of grid. Nepali industries needs cheap electricity. Promoting ev vehicles and induction in kitchen can help reduce dependence on hydrocarbons. We need electricity for ourself. We are selling electricity to india for peanuts and buying it back when needed 4-5 times the selling cost.

I'm tired of these negative propaganda against china lol they literally gave us so much in infrastructure. If nepal can't pay back the loans then it's our fault. The deal was made. We need to move from this narrative that India is good to us and china is bad in realty in facts china has helped us way more

im indian ,you should never give your strategic infrastructure to foreign nations , and yes small nations lacks expertise sometimes on handling such infra but you can always bring in consultation from different foreign company , for small nations building manufacturing sector is hard , but there are small nation who have niche manufacturing sectors , high end products manufacturing in niche sectors is best suitable for nepal , i don't know your goverment should urge indian companies to do some niche manufacturing TOTs to nepal so that you guys can build upon that ,

Brother, India , Nepal same problem. Faulty administration. 😭.. I believe there should be 3-4 representatives from Nepal in Indian Parliament at least. Whether we like it or not, our internal affairs are intrinsically linked. We need more pro people policies and promote good capitalism that is not bound by pretty borders.

As indian i only want say first check that india buy that electricity ? If india buy then nepal earn dollers. Resently nepal export electricity to Bangladesh through india. All we want to achived renewable energy targets. Its just my understanding . If india produced lots electricity and exports to another country its also considered export commodity
