I think this series of videos is a brilliant way to use humour to challenge misconceptions. I think even believers alike get something out of this, in education. You can tell there is a lot of misunderstanding about our faith, and it is up to us to show people that we are human and not some kind of marching soldiers. I think it genuinely shows people want to know more. The dawah scene is having a brilliant positive impact. A lot of work to go to... But I feel videos like this help. Be interested to see how many nonbelievers are subscribed to the channel. May Allah be pleased with your deeds and weaken peoples hearts. Ameen.

@Ismail You seem to have a very warped idea of what being a Muslim is. No the father does not have a right to force his wife and daughter to wear hijab. He can do his best to explain that it is wajib and explain the beauty of it but ultimately it is their decision. No soul shall bear the burden of another. And it is Allah SWT Who guides us. There is no compulsion in religion. You should be gentle with your wives and daughters. Not this forced aggressive nature you seem to be displaying.

*Women in Islam cannot wear whatever they want otherwise they can be abused* O Prophet, tell your wives and your daughters and the women of the believers to bring down over themselves [part] of their outer garments. That is more suitable that they will be known *_AND NOT BE ABUSED._* And ever is Allah Forgiving and Merciful. - Surah 33:59 Source: corpus.quran.com/translation.jsp?chapter=33&verse=59 The Command of Hijab: Here Allah tells His Messenger to command the believing women -- especially his wives and daughters, because of their position of honor -- to draw their Jilbabs over their bodies, so that they will be distinct in their appearance from the women of the Jahiliyyah and from slave women. The Jilbab is a Rida', worn over the Khimar. This was the view of Ibn Mas`ud, `Ubaydah, Qatadah, Al-Hasan Al-Basri, Sa`id bin Jubayr, Ibrahim An-Nakha`i, `Ata' Al-Khurasani and others. It is like the Izar used today. Al-Jawhari said: "The Jilbab is the outer wrapper. `Ali bin Abi Talhah reported that Ibn `Abbas said that Allah commanded the believing women, when they went out of their houses for some need, to cover their faces from above their heads with the Jilbab, leaving only one eye showing. Muhammad bin Sirin said, "I asked `Ubaydah As-Salmani about the Ayah: - Ibn Al Kathir _Surah __33:59__ is saying unless a believing woman wears the hijab then she can be abused_
@samarasha6806
@samarasha6806 3 жыл бұрын
@@JasonLovesJesus Hi! I hope you're well :) Other translations of the same verse, Surah 33:59. • "O Prophet! Say to your wives and your daughters and the women of the believers (believing women) that they wrap themselves up in their over garments (cover themselves). This is more proper, that they may be known (that they are not female slaves but they are free and chaste women) and thus they will not be given annoyance and Allah is Ever Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful." • " O Prophet! say unto thy wives and thy daughters and women of the believers that they should let down upon them their wrapping- garments. That would be more likely to distinguish them so that they will not be affronted. And Allah is ever Forgiving, Merciful." • "O Prophet! Tell your wives and your daughters and the women of the faithful to draw closely over themselves their chadors [when going out]. That makes it likely for them to be recognized and not be troubled, and Allah is all-forgiving, all-merciful". No language translates with 100% accuracy, and so the closest word in meaning is often used. The explanation for this verse is that; The meaning of has been explained by scholars that when a person is dressed very modest and is wearing a hijab or jilbab etc, they are visually identifying themselves with Islam and it's teachings, and so everyone will know that they are modest women who won't engage in things their religion does not encourage, and who cannot be expected to do anything indecent. In this way it is more likely that they will be recognized as virtuous or guarding their chastity and not be harassed or troubled. The exact same way that people who see Nuns in their traditional religious garb, covered from head to toe, are aware that there is no point trying to for example, ask out a Nun on a date, or try to get their phone number for romantic relationships, or that they are up for romantic relationships. And so it is an extra layer of visual protection, and a clear announcement of your faith. Of course, men first and foremost have to lower their gaze, no matter what a woman is wearing, their eyes should not be on us. Furthermore, despite the fact that there are always exceptions, most people whether they're Muslim or not, tend to get the message that a Hijabi is not interested in any of their approaches when they see our hijabs and modest clothing, because it's a pretty visual sign that to the best of my ability, my loyalty lies with God's command and not with my desires. In the Quran it says, “Say to the believing men that: they should cast down their glances and guard their private parts (by being chaste). This is better for them.”This is a command to Muslim men that they should not lustfully look at women (other than their own wives); and in order to prevent any possibility of temptation, they are required to cast their glances downwards. This is known as “hijab of the eyes”. It is not once ever ever stated that Muslim men, or non muslim men, have ANY right to rape, harass, or abuse anybody. Period. Not a muslim, not a jew, not a christian, not an atheist. In fact, there is punishment for men who do not lower their gaze for ALL women, and men who harass ANY person, for example, the punishment in Islam for rape is stoning to death for the married, or a flogging of 100 lashes and deportation for the unmarried. They base their argument on a hadith which reports a rape case at the time of the Prophet, where the victim was excused and her rapist (who was married) was sentenced to be stoned to death. And so, no one has the right in Islam to hurt or harm another person regardless of their religion outside of like a situation of war and EVEN THEN there are very strict rules on who and how you can harm anyone or anything. No one has the right to abuse or hurt anyone regardless of what they wear, Muslim or non-Muslim. The Prophet PBUH himself was very concerned with pro tecting ALL peoples rights, he warned Muslims that "anyone who kills a non-Muslim citizen will not smell the fragrance of paradise", and strongly admonished his followers about the mistreatment with them: He said, "He who wrongs a Jew or a Christian will have myself as his accuser on the Day of Judgment." He went on to constantly and fiercely protect their rights against Muslims and All, saying, "Verily , they (Christians) are my allies and have my secure charter against all that they hate. No one is to force them to travel or to oblige them to fight. The Muslims are to fight for them. If a female Christian is married to a Muslim, it is not to take place without her approval. She is not to be prevented from visiting her church to pray. Their churches are to be respected. They are neither to be prevented from repairing them nor the sacredness of their covenants. None of Muslims is to disobey the covenant till the Last Day", etc. There is so much amazing wisdom out there, all we have to do is read and trust the Quran and the teachings of the Holy Prophet PBUH, and understand the context and depth behind it all, because people are always infallible and imperfect and misuse and abuse the word of God for their own gains and satisfactions.

How is it people who are explaining misconception are the one having misconception themselves? " Hijab is a choice"? It's not a choice it's an obligation. Truth is it's just something that you are not willing to commit, that's the answer. Tell the truth.
@yes-vn6uo

its an obligation, but the women can choose to wear it or not, verse 256 surah al-baqarah says; There shall be no compulsion in the religion. The right course has become clear from the wrong. So whoever disbelieves in Taghut and believes in Allah has grasped the most trustworthy handhold with no break in it.

@@yes-vn6uo Just because you can do something doesn't mean that you should do it. It's like saying, you can insult and mock people as long as you don't resort to violence because by then you would reckon with being punished by the law. There should be no people who's going to force you to wear a hijab but there will be people who will reprimand you for your wrongdoing. Saying something as, "it's none of your business" and "it's a choice" is a petty excuse for not being able to commit to the practice.

There is a hijab-war going on in the comments so I thought I'd chime in here. The Quran does NOT mandate hijab. It is very vague on how women should dress. Same goes for hadiths, there are no authentic sayings of the Prophet Muhammad that say hijab needs to be worn. Furthermore, many Muslim cultures (like that of the subcontinent) have had no concept of hijab or niqab. This is why the majority of Muslim women from Pakistan, India, and Bangladesh do not wear hijab. You can also search up scholars who say hijab is not mandatory like Shabir Ally, Mufti Abu Layth, Javed Ghamdi, Farhad Shafti, Khaled Zaheer, Adnan Ibrahim, and Khaled About Fadel.

I have a thought for why ppl might think muslim woman wear their hijjabs everywhere. (Don't know if this is the actual reason, this is just a thought or theory, dont take it as fact) When the hijjabi does commercial work like ads, she wears it cause this stuff will become public, no matter the location during the scenes, like for example, a house setting. Again, Idk if thats actually the reason why ppl assume hijjabis never take their hijjab off, but if someone did see those things without context I can see how this can raise confusion Which brings an important life lesson, dont assume things, always research it. That goes for anything not only religion. Have a wonderful day who ever is reading this, sorry I made this long 👍

well, Allah told you to cover your hair but He gave you a freedom of choice. Allah did mentioned what will happen if you don't cover your hair. it is your close family responsibility to ensure you to cover it especially your father, your brothers, your uncles and your husband. but if they already told you, and you are still stubborn not to cover, it is under your own responsibility to answer in the judgement day. none of these should be treated lightly by any Muslims especially when it is a clear instructions by Allah and said in the authentic Hadith.
