she did, but it's the fact that two people are in on a joke that the girl isn't. Sure, it boosts the girls confidence, but if she ever were to find out the real reason, it'd be so embarrassing for her to think that Regina would ever actually like the outfit. This movie came out in 2004. People didn't text too much back then and kids didn't have cell phones. Gretchen is the only one in their group who has a phone because she's rich. I feel like Regina’s really mean, but Janis is no better. She’s driven by her jealousy of what Regina has: popularity, looks, etc This is something I had experienced myself. I’m quite popular at school tho I’m never EVER mean to others girls. But my ex best friend who was not as popular as me would always get jealous of me, and at the moment when I needed her support the most she just didn’t support me publicly (I always supported her even if she was wrong). Now she’s out there having her revenge on me for I don’t even know what by talking to my ex-boyfriend and people who hate me.
