You know, one of the main reasons Mr. Rogers started Mr. Rogers' Neighborhood and testified for funding for the PBS was because he genuinely cared about what children were seeing on TV. Because of him, an entire generation was taught extremely valuable lessons through a show that was both entertaining to and respectful to children. He knew that kids aren't dumb, they just don't have the experience that the rest of us do, so he implemented that heavily into his show. I think right now we need another person like Mr. Rogers on TV.

There's almost no way Ryan grows up socialized well. He has a full time career as a child and makes more then a thousand adults combined. It makes me think of the Olsen twins and then when they just kinda left show biz they still got harassed and called weird just for living their lives how they want, and as kids they were like saying they had no time. @@AdamOfIngolstadt I've seen something similar to this before in passing and I think it's weird, but kinda normal to see adults reviewing toys, like if the adults genuinely like the toys they are reviewing? I know years ago I somehow found a woman giving a review over some girls toy and it was genuinely weird, but I kinda understood it if was directed towards kids. kinda like any other kids shows with adult leads, like Lazy Town?
@SineN0mine3
@SineN0mine3 Жыл бұрын
@@katelynbrown98 I think its a lot easier for an adult to give a fair review about a toy. Kids are too impressionable and don't really know why they like things. If you have to buy presents for a kid and don't know what toys are "cool" I don't know why you'd want the opinion of a kid who will just repeat the last thing that was advertised to them. An adult can give you lots of useful information, especially if they're still young at heart. Its much easier for them to realise which toys are just novelties and which ones will provide lasting enjoyment and they take in to account things like how well they are made and whether proper materials are used. Nobody wants to give a present that breaks the same day or just ends up at the bottom of the toy box, and trusting kids to tell you what to buy will probably lead to that.

We will find out pretty soon. Apparently he is turning 12 this year. And I know some people mentioned that adults give toy reviews, but there is an age where kids start to naturally reject younger kids' toys as a part of maturing. So is he going to be 13 or 14, still sitting in front of a camera being forced to unbox and play with toys for 6 year olds?

They have gov officials, policeman, Hollywood directors. Not a conspiracy theory either. the strangest thing about all of this to me is how since this video was made, the line between disney+ and hulu has blurred so much. disney+'s original intention was to be kid-friendly which led to some bizarre choices that reeked of bigotry - specifically refusing putting content they deemed "inappropriate" for a "family audience" on disney+ and making hulu their "more adult" service. yet as of july 2022, ryan's show is still on hulu, and disney+ has MA-rated tv. not sure where this is going, but that business model is a whole mess and affects entire production teams who can lose their platform if not tailored to disney's standards of "appropriate." (i know this video came out before disney+ was created and right after disney acquired fox/hulu, but it's still bizarre how it's progressed.)

What makes it scarier is once these kids grow up, especially ryan with how big his audience is, the loss of their marketability as a child is gonna be placed on their shoulders. Their parents and sponsors are gonna place blame on them, shame them for not being cute and young anymore. For not wanting to sit in front of a camera and play with toys anymore, wanting to hang out with friends etc. it scares me what those parents are gonna turn to once their kids get older. Will they keep trying to film their lives, their vulnerable moments? Will they sell their childs likeness to companies even when theyre teenagers? Ryan isnt the only one whos had his likeness basically turned into a logo for businesses that are out of their control. I used to work at target and soooo many brands on toy shelves nowadays are just some random kids face, they get dolls that look like them, play sets etc. Idk how its gonna impact them years down the line feeling like theyre worthless now bc their parents cant manipulate them anymore and millions of kids dont watch them anymore. Its gonna massively harm their mental health for sure. It reminds me of kids who grow up with parents who pressure them to be perfect and that their appearance is the most important thing. That really hurts you in the long run. Its not gonna end once these kids grow up, their parents are just gonna look for the next best thing to manipulate for their financial benefit.

Take a look at Charlie Brown, Hey Arnold, even more current ones like The Amazing World of Gumball, and many others. @@bestcatowner8711 worst part is that normally a child actor can usually bounce back after their teen years. Look at Macaulay culkin. He was a child star, he later laid low during his teen years then bounced back as an adult using his child star days as leverage. Using notoriety to help his career as an adult. But the thing is that as a kid he actually appeared in films. He actually acted. Ryan won’t be able to bounce back because his “career” was just he himself playing with toys. When he grows up at most they’ll be some talk show that’s like “hey it’s Ryan but he’s an adult! How cool.” He won’t ever find a job because of his time on the internet. His parents are going to rob him (just like culkin to continue to use him as an example) of money that realistically should be his and his life is going to suck because he’s missing out on a crucial part of life. Those developmental days as an infant toddler and child are super important and I’m sure he gets a bit of time off camera but given how much content the parents seem to be pushing out he probably isn’t getting enough time off camera to be himself... Poor kid. Never would I have thought that a child playing with all the toys he’d ever want would damn them in the long run.... the internet has truly opened Pandora’s box to some of the most insane ballocks of all time...

@EseChava 22 I never denied what you said, in fact i 100% agree with you. You are in such a rush to be the guy who spits facts that you just naturally assumed I was against you, am I not aloud to insult people when I think they are trying to hard to be edgy? You want it so bad to be the truth seeker you want to appear to be the guy that KNOWS, it's embarrassing. I mean everyone goes through that phase growing up, there's nothing better than thinking you are this awesome entity shutting everyone down. Even I had that phase. It's just embarrassing to look back on though even if I was technically right, I just realised that noone likes that guy and that there's easier ways to convey my opinions without being overly obnoxious.

Diner50 I actually think the most valuable part of a normal education is the social aspect. Someone like Ryan needs to be in school, not necessarily so he can get a job, but so he can socialize with other normal kids his age and build a social network that he can rely on outside of this gross industry he was forced into. Besides, he may not need a job or money, but he might discover he has a passion and want to pursue that as a career

The worst part is, almost all the young movie stars grow up to lead a terrible life and die at around 30. I have heard of so many child stars growing out of their industry and having nowhere to go and end up commiting suicide. It's so sad. They really need to tighten the laws on media platforms because there are so many criminals getting away scott-free.

Honestly they should make like minors film only on the weekend scenes with children on the weekend yeah its hard but its better than nothing and probably not the most efficient. Also I think stuff like movies or commercials the only thing kids can be the main character I think putting them on tv should be banned. Edit: Maybe minors can be main characters on a show but probably make them film after school hours but not late-night

Yeah, it's like those celebrity cartoons from the 80's and 90's (Mr. T, Chuck Norris' Karate Komandos, etc.) but instead of celebrities, it's random children nobody knows. Alternatively it's like the Pod People, where real people are replaced with their counterparts from the cartoon dimension.
