This tips off other clubs with players rumored to be chased by Liverpool, who now won't be spending 100 million or more on Bellingham...........and so have more available funds to purchase those other candidates! If the idea is to not let the fans have false beliefs about the re-build, then this isn't the time to do that. First make at least one promising transfer and then say Bellingham is not a target.
