Playing the arkham games as a kid was such an experience

The Joker saying Batman wants to play hardball and pulling out a feather to tickle him was one of the funniest moments in the game. Asylum was a real treat

Asylum is my fave in the series, by a long shot, playing this game at 14 years old, feeling invincible as batman, adventuring and exploring this isolated island for the search for the riddler trophies, getting the ultimate satisfaction from the challenge maps and as a ps3 player, getting to play the Villain with a goddamn gun, The story in asylum is tight, perfectly toned and just the best, Not to even mention the STAR studded performances, rest in peace Kevin Conroy and Arleen Sorkin, you made this game, This vid just made me wanna play Arkham Asylum again...off to steam!

The Arkham series is one of those series where somebody could make a convincing argument for why each entry is better than the others and you'd believe them all.

Don't think I ever saw that game over screen of Joker blowing a raspberry, then stumbling backwards and falling on his ass.^^

Asylum has something that no game after asylum from Batman or other heroes has and it truly feels like a playable comic book. (The only other games I can think of that feel like comic book games are Spider-Man Shattered Dimensions and Ultimate Spider-Man). I love the grittyness of Arkham Knight, the overall fun/epicness of the Spider-Man games but Arkham Asylum has an undeniable tone that feels so perfect for a game where we play as a man dressed as a bat fighting insane criminals. The game still takes itself serious at times and mainly uses comedy from characters who no matter the universe like Joker will make jokes and act really silly such as using a feather to try and make Batman transform into a huge monster or use slapstick comedy such as exploding gargoyles which kills his own men. Also the overall tone and aesthetic of Arkham is so perfect with its mid 1800s gothic aesthetic which is something I wished they committed to for the other games such as making Arkham City and Knight look like the Tim Burton Gotham

The Arkham games lost their identity more and more with each new installment I think. To the point where Arkham Knight kinda feels like it could take place in any standard Batman universe (and let's not talk about Suicide Squad). This game felt like a living, breathing graphic novel, which clearly took heavy inspiration from A Serious House on Serious Earth, and really felt like it's own separate thing. City kept it going to an extent but honestly, the second they ditched the graphic novel aesthetic for that generic, video-gamey, "hi-tech" HUD, I knew something was off.

actually about the music i don't think music in the whole series (except origins) is noticeable but it deserve much more credits i mean no one really talks about arkham music as they should. just listen to different variation of arkham theme or azrale theme or arkham city ending track with choir (well it's not only ending track) i think it's brilliant

People today fail to realize how ludicrously important the late 2000's/early 2010's were for Batman fans. In merely a decade, we've had The Dark Knight Trilogy in cinemas, with one of the movies still being today THE greatest superhero film of all times, and the Arkham Trilogy in video games. The decade was just absolute perfection for Batman fans, something people today (especially those who like demonizing him because "he's a rich white dude") will never be able to understand.

Scarecrow and croc are some of my favorite boss fights in the series.

I HATE how the sequels got progessivelly darker/serious in tone and story. I love how goofy Asylum is, almost as a spiritual sucessor of BTAS, that should've been the way to go.

I remember playing the first Batman game on my 360 it was so magical but it was really hard for me but recently I finally finished all the games! 😊

It's too hard to pick. I learned to love Arkham Knight. Arkham City is a masterpiece. Arkham Asylum's level design is awesome. So I rank them equally.

Arkham City had the best setting/foundation for a story but the ending and protocol 10 was anti climactic. Arkham knights setting/Foundation was a bit simpler but it had a far better ending City was better written but i think asylums campaign and game design was more fun to play

don't you just hate when you play this game and all of the sudden this garbage appears on your screen your game data is corrupted and game will be closed delete data to play the game and the worst thing is that this doesn't do ship for you when you play again and reach the same point in the story (in my case it was entering the mansion and taking out first 3 guys inside)the same exact garbage appears on your screen again

Arkham Knight and Arkham City are Batman games. Arkham Asylum is a Batman comic.
