They are all miles off arsenals and man city levels. You mentioned mini leagues well arsenal and city are about to be a mini league for the next 3 to 4 years at least its already been last season and this season, the rest of the league is miles off. We are going to get even better each year and the owners will continue to back the manager. Bare in mind this was our first season in the ucl in ages. This means mikel will have alot of money to spend this transfer window plus a few assets like ramsdale nketiah, Tierney, lokonga etc to sell.

Im 27 and i faintly remember us winning the title, the FA cup that followed is more memorable for me and then the champions leage final a year later is the first time i cried at a football match. Many more followed in the years after 🤣🤣🤣

Nothing is guaranteed even though we're developing so well and improving. All it takes is one summer of bad recruitment and some terrible injury luck. We all may have thought Liverpool would kick on from their dominant league performance, but the next year they lose Van Dijk and the rest of their defenders. It's always on a knife edge and Pep is allegedly sticking around for yet another season next year so there's that monster to deal with. There is absolutely no guaranteeing it and this league is so difficult. We will need to recruit well and cut our losses with a few players, and I trust the boss/Edu to do it. But I'm still so sad because this year was a genuine golden opportunity and we really were good enough to do it, just stumbled in a few key spots.

We win the League just about often enough to know how hard it is but not often enough, so we endure most seasons going ‘not good enough, not good enough, not good enough!’ You’re spot on this team will win the League so long as their heads don’t drop with disappointment, but that’s the only way they’ll learn. Losing to Fulham with a Christmas hangover could be the whole season down the toilet. They’ll learn, we hope, before exhaustion sets in and they become ‘best team not to win the League’. Normally these Arsenal teams learn. Under early Wenger he was so good he made up for their inadequacies, these days that can’t be done. They’ll win so long as they keep learning the hard lessons. This time they lost it when they went AWOL over Christmas for 3-4 games. Last season they went AWOL on the run-in. Surely the penny will drop now.
