The most important part of Astra is shedding light on prophet Muhammad's family and the tragedy that befell them. Peace and blessings be upon them all. In the land of karbala the tyrant yazid ordered for Hussein to be executed along with his followers and even his family. This is one of the saddest days in history, especially for the Muslim world.

Masha Allah, thank you for the informative video, however, It is good to know. First, The Muharram was the first day of the year in Jaaheliat time before Islam, so, that was the opposite of the prophet's order which was Rabi ul Awal. Second, Muslims are not happy with Muharram because of the assassination of the Prophet's nephew (Hossain) in Muharram for making celebration, although some Muslims are just happy with Kholafa and money and do not care about Right/Haggh and Mohammad's descendent (صلی الله علیه و آله و سلم) honestly.

did it ever make you wonder that maybe the reason the battle of karbala occured on the 10th of muharram was because allah was also with hussain - since you are saying that those two ayah you referenced tie in together? who more is closer to musa and mohammad than the grandson of muhammad and the one who went to stand up to the pharoon of his time yazid.

We believe Muhammad SAW and Nabie Musa a.s is the victory of Hijra. And we do sunats in salaah Ienallahie Allah AWA was in the present of them . Allah AWA was with them asura with them and bring that victory of them. The 10 days of Mugaram . Fast the 2days ,salaah,toubag ,thicker, tahajud and Quran . Algamdoelielah. Allah forgive 🙏 all sins . Allah Akbar. Ameen

Why you don't mention the sacrifice of household of prophet Muhammad s.a.w. What is this trend of downplaying the sacrifice and contribution of household of prophet and always comparing them with other companions. It is intellectual and moral dishonesty. Really disappointed.

Did he talk about them? How can you have a sermon on ashura and not even mention the sacrifice of imam hussain but mention other companions? Why I wonder? Sahih muslim 2408a, prophet s.a.w warned about the rights of his household during his last sermon

It seems you didn't even listen to the khutbah even at the first five minutes because Sheikh Omar mentioned Sayyidna Hussein's martyrdom in the list of the events associated to this Day. It seems for you Ashoura has only got to be for the tragic event of Sayyidna Hussein's martyrdom. You don't care that the Day was mentioned and marked even before this worst incident in our history. We love Sayyidna Hussein. He was beloved to his grandfather, our Prophet (PBUH), and we love everything and everyone that Rasuulullah loved.

Fasting for Ashura was prescribed by Prophet Muhammad for a specific reason, not because of Karbala. 2 separate issues. No one is obligated to mix them

Karbala happened afterwards. Ashurah has nothing to do with karbala, fo into the history and see that 1st it was the fast of 10 muharram, then karbala took place afterwards. So how can karbala be part of aashurah?

Why would Yazid raise an army of 30 thousand men against what some may describe a "knowledgeable man" and obliterate his entire family? Seems odd no? Was he just a "knowledgeable man" or was he something more?

Shame! What kind of Muslims are we who dilute the message of Kerbala with all kinds of inventions about the Prophet. Yom Kippur did not coincide with Ashura when the Prophet migrated to Madina. The only time it did was after Kerbala. So yes we Sunnis should fast to atone for what was done to the Prophet’s family and more so for what is being done to erase the history of Kerbala today.
