@@R_S_R_ Lol they will never collaborate, there's different types of parties and groups so most likely it wouldn't be of much use but Hindutva itself being the main ideology means the ideology of the nation isn't Nehruvian stuff anymore. It would be like America or Israel where everything is under the spectrum of Liberalism or Zionism(mostly) respectively.

Here in UP, no matter what political party it is, they will vote for it if, it has any chance to beat the hindutva forces, this time they went for Samajwadi Party... A single call from the loudspeakers of Local Madrassa on last Friday before elections, and every islamist blindly votes for that party... No money makes them disobey that religious appeal.... It is not about Roads , Bridges or toilets that BJP is winning . It represents Hindu sentiments , Hindu identity , Hindu respect better . Hindus were sadly missing their representation all these decades . They are clearly saying that they have no interest in Abrahamic religions and want a Dharmic country .

@@NostalgiaforInfinity You are right . We still are not where we should be . But at least there is a slight shift . I would certainly prefer a more Hindutva vaadhi party . Sadly we don't have any yet . We have to work to demand and force Hinduism at every household level . Can't depend on govt to do it .

@@narayanprasad4008 As per kushal, Hindutva isn't forcing Hinduism. What's Hinduism for you???? Eating vegetarian food ??? If you're a Vaishnavite , then yes it will be. If you're a Shakta or Shaiva(mostly Kashmiri Shaivite) , then you will be eating meat .

BJP has already turned into new Congress. A new Hindu party that shit on BJP that is in control of few big states would be worst BJP nightmare. I don’t think another Hindu party will emerge anything soon so BJP is chilling. When a new Hindu party does emerge national level, BJP will lose.

Delimitation - Perhaps states can be assigned seats based on GDP or Tax revenue and then divide those seats as per population. That could be a good first step. Ideally, there should be a weightage of something like 50% Population, 30% GDP and 20% land area to determine constituency size.

See there’s some important factors, rising Hindutwa vote as a result of rising Islamic fundamentalism ( in 1950/60 ppl were not as informed) , in states like Tamilnadu where vanishing AIADMK , in Kerala where congress is becoming obsolete, in Telangana who’s if KCR gone ?, AAP success in Punjab is due to absence of BJP & farmer’s agitation, similar space is there for new entrant in Bihar ( as BJP didn’t organise where it had coalition , but lately I think BJP has realised it after Punjab & started correcting in Maharashtra & Bihar). Even in WB Momta became stronger because she was NDA member & BJP started late ( when there was no opposition). Lesson also learnt from positive result of UP election ( BJP after 8 yrs in power has it’s own full identity).

Death of congress ( WB, North east, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Andhra, Telangana, Kerala etc)& some alternating parties ( AIADMK ,Mayawati & perhaps JDU) 3. BJP continued trust on allies without self realisation ( Shivsena, JDU, Akali Dal ).so BJP remained weak allowing alien to enter ( AAP in Punjab). 4. But now BJP appears to have realised it & breaking such alliances to emerge as sole challenger.Punjab will take some time despite death of congress & Akali dal.

Good talk and very rational analysis. One reason why BJP keeps hammering away at Congress is that despite not winning many seats, Congress still manages to get around 20% of the votes even in those losing constituencies. Even though Congress might look like a dead horse, they're still good chunk of meat left on it to carve out. At a national stage BJP cannot be criticizing DMK, TMC, SP etc (in local rallies they may). Nation wide, if BJP can steal 2%-3% from the Congress share it will be a huge bonanza to help BJP beat other rivals!

The real reason for BJP's political dominance is lack of credible opposition. These opposition parties consisting of family outfits & family loyalists is no match for a National Cadre based party like BJP. The opposition parties have no National Agenda except to loot & scoot ! The common minimum programme of these opposition parties in the name of Mahagatbandhan is just to split the loot share & to escape the clutches of ED/ CBI which are hounding & pounding them!! More importantly , opposition cannot find a credible face of a Prime Minister to lead & to take on the likes of Modiji who is a collosal figure in his own right! People don't buy the idea of so called secularism & vote bank politics. Its all bullshit! The opposition have come to realise this! At the end of the day , every opposition leader who are dreaming of making it big are likely to rot in jails! So let's accept its BJP all the way! Game over! Let the Parivarwads keep licking their wounds!!

Wonderful discussion. BJP has become a movement and is gathering more moss as it moves ahead. Something like the warkaris. Many friends say that it mustn't intake members of opposition parties. But I argue that it cannot shut doors on them. They come with their supporters and the party has to grow. The youth on gaining their rights of vote are predominantly favoring BJP because of it's National ideology. You should do more podcasts occasionally 👍

AAP not only took over the Congress vote, it shattered the traditional vote banks of all parties including BJP and SAD in Punjab. AAP in Punjab is essentially a party which gained due to the voters'apathy towards traditional parties. In case of WB, Left politics has a huge space. In the recent local body polls it is the Left which has seen gains. A large chunk of the anti- TMC vote lies with the Left which has a dedicated cadre of its own. They had decided to vote for BJP but have slowly been returning to TMC

AAP won in Punjab only because congress was stupid... They fought amongst themselves and... Akali is done and dusted...BJP never existed in Punjab.. Punjabis wanted to vote for congress... But there was no congress... So they chose a new party..

Only that it is not. The Supreme Court put power back in the hands of individual states to determine abortion laws based on what the majority says. Consequently, there are states who are pro and anti abortion respectively.

I will be surprised if BJP makes it past 2027, let alone 2047. To make it simpler, a party that ditches its cadre, alienates its core voters and crawls before its enemies does not have a long term future. Currently BJP is all about immediate gains at the cost of long term future - this is the assessment of a BJP supporter for the last 25 years.

@@dramarb3184 artical 370 issue is more of a national issue than a hindu issue. Ram mandir is built after the judgement of supreme court when hindus present all the facts before court. I don't think people will vote for any non hindutva party but may be future bjp will broke in various parties, the recent example is the resignations of workers in Karnataka after the killing of pravin nettaru.
