City has spent as much as any of the other clubs around them have and it was never a problem when Man U was spending or Chelsea, it’s jealousy and fear if they were spending what they didn’t have and putting the club in danger then yes but from what I see the structure is sound let them build it’s great to watch ctid

Lol anytime City play poorly the main excuse is no striker and missed chances, yet they go to by the best replacement that they can for much less money and now they're like the rich kid who buys an iphone on the first day because they can? You prob wouldn't care if Madrid got him, and they already have recognized strikers at the club, which would make the analogy a little more apt. Haaland transfer fee is like the same City received from Barca for Ferran Torres in Jan. This was the perfect deal for a team that needed a player like this

8:46 You can't determine that Vinicius will have a better career just yet. Vinicius is really just starting up a great football career. We forget so soon that Neymar did great things at Barcelona before the big money move to PSG. This question can only make real sense when Vinicius has reached the mark or surpassed Neymar Jr. Calm down and let the young man grow.

Can I just say, I get it that the Haaland transfer is a big deal and his future has been a hot topic... But why do they always have to obsess over the players leaving Borussia Dortmund and never stop to discuss the talents coming into the team. We've already signed 3 great talents to start next season in Niklas Süle, Nico Schlotterbeck, and now as of today Karim Adeyemi. ESPNFC made it a point to talk about Adeyemi and RB Salzburg when they were up against Bayern in the UCL, but now that he's moving into a Top 5 European league they don't acknowledge it.

@thehollowedtree9586
@thehollowedtree9586 2 жыл бұрын
@@UnbiasedInternetCommenter123 What's embarrassing is the fact you talk about things you have no clue about. Dortmund was terribly managed and nearly went bankrupt not so long ago. They literally had to get loans from Bayern. So now, as a smart club would do, they are learning their lesson and lining their coffers so that it doesn't happen again. Unfortunately some clubs don't have sugar daddies and Sheiks and have to create their own income. The only thing I can criticize them for is that they didn't buy defenders sooner and only young attacking talents. Would have made them more competitive over the last 10 years. But they seemed to have learned that lesson as well because they're bringing in Sule and Shlotterbeck which is miles better than what they currently have in that shambles of a defense.

These guys and their witch hunting against Neymar : the guy won the champions league, Spanish league and other trophies with Barcelona, where he was exceptional. He was also the best PSG player when they reached the UCL final just 2 seasons ago, and also really good just last season, getting in the semifinals. Not to mention, he won the confederations cup with Brazil, a team where he’s by the way, about to match PELE goal score. Yes, he could’ve an even better career by now, but the one he has, it’s already fulfilled and successful
@thehollowedtree9586
@thehollowedtree9586 2 жыл бұрын
Another -200 IQ comment from someone who knows nothing yet thinks they're making mind blowing arguments. Neymar is 30 and he had 2 good seasons at Barcelona. Their CL win didn't have much to do with him as it did Messi, Xavi and Iniesta. Hence why Barcelona ALREADY won 3 CL in the years before Neymar and were widely considered the best club in the world at the time. He left and got his own team after, one which was trying to build up to Barcelona's level....And what happened genius? They've been perennial bottlers. That one year they made the final was a fluke, and he had like 3 good performances. So don't cream your panties over it. And the confederations cup is a Mickey Mouse international competition nobody watches or cares about. The fact you're reaching for that as some sort of proof of Neymar's excellence shows you're delusional. What has he done at World Cups? Nothing except flaming out and bottling it. Which he will do again this year unless Vinicius Junior and other carry him to the promised land so he can steal the credit.

The point is, there are many players currently playing who boast of similar or better career achievements. But they don't get the media hype or occasional best after Messi/Ronaldo shouts. Neymar isn't consistent and didn't fulfil his potential; it is a fact not an opinion tbh

He was at what should have been before his prime when he won his big trophies with Barcelona. That's the point. He threw away his prime plus the rest of his career. That's why people get frustrated with him. And yes, he won the 'checking the facilities work for the upcoming World Cup' trophy with Brazil. The biggest trophy they've won in his time with them, the Copa America, was when he was injured!

The only reason why certain players can’t get close to starting XI is because of the quality of the players ahead of them. Mahrez didn’t feature when we had Sane Aguero and Sterling firing on all cylinders to make the Centurion season and Stones didn’t play when Laporte and Kompany/Dias are at the peak of their powers. Always has been. If people think PSG, Man City and the likes aren't breaking all sorts of financial rules they're delusional and naive. FFP is there just for show. To make it seem like the sport is taking care of it. Look at Barca too. They ruined themselves by overspending for 15 years, FFP never mentioned it or batted an eye.

@Nav Dream My point is he didn't go there just because he wanted to play for the same club as his father. That was a PLUS. Not the defining factor in his decision. The defining factors would be the massive wages and the fact that it's a top tier club in a sporting sense where he will work with Pep and play with the best players. If it was just about following his father's footsteps he would offer to play for Leeds where his dad played and where he was born. But he would never do that would he? So clearly it's the other factors.

The analysts answer has much to do with current EPL race than anything. But if City has a 15 pts lead and add Haaland it would be totally different answer. Look its not City’s fault and Haaland is way better spending than Grealish. But fact is if there is no competitive balance then eventually its bad for the league. Bundesliga and Seria A are good example. Really casual fans don’t watch them with Bayern and Juve (in the past) dominating. Even this year Seria A with good race, there is hardly any press because no one really care. And thats what happen if one team dominate over a long span. You lose the fans and the revenue.
