I just discovered another way by accident. I was trying to use Metronome to adjust for delay and watching music vids using VLC as reference. I discovered a menu I had never used before. If you tap the screen once while a vid is playing in VLC it brings up the main controls. To the left of the Skip-Backward button is a button that looks like a chat bubble. Press that and a menu comes up showing with an item labeled "audio delay" you can use that while watching the video to get the sync perfect. It retains your choice for all future videos.

This option is under the developer menu for Android. There's a possibility some devices auto select it, or "default to" as mentioned in the video. I have some cheap Skullcandy Sesh Evo's that don't support this codec, and manually selecting it just causes it to default back to the one it does.

Will using an audio jack help the sound drops / lags ? It was suggested by JBL customer support worker. I bought JBL Charge 4 so i have a flexible speaker for both my laptop and cellphone, but kinda sad after realizing these BT speakers are meant to be used specifically for smart devices and listening to music and not audio video. Hi nice video, but there's these AVCRP started from 1.4 to 1.6 which one should i use for playing pubg mobile? Aptx and Aptx Hd which one for better pinpoint enemy footsteps ? What are sample rate and buffer size,? I'm using Bluetooth 5.0 and still there's a significant amount of delay and whenever there's gunfire sound nearby, enemy's steps are almost non-existent

Great video! Latency issues could be eliminated regardless of protocol if there is handshaking between the video app and headphones. Simply delay the video to compensate for audio protocol in use. The issue is truly annoying.

@@koldbrew7582 The phone OS already knows what Bluetooth device is connected. The video player can gain access to this information and provide delay to match audio lag. This is not a technology challenge, it's a standards and commitment to implement problem.

I am looking for headphones with excellent imaging and low latency. To use a display monitor as an analogy, a TN panel is the lowest latency while sacrificing colour quality. An IPS panel has excellent colour but more latency. OK analogy done, my question is "Does the audio codec work in a similar way, if I choose a lower latency codec will this reduce the lag in gaming if I want to use wireless headphones? Another way to put it is I am imagining an immersive auditorium rich with sound like a picture rich with colours. or a place where the sound isn't as rich but I could hear a pindrop or footfall and know exactly what direction the sound came from and accurately judged the distance.

I owned a pair of soundpeats that had aptx and aptx-ll, but android doesn't support aptx-ll (only aptx[HD]) so I couldn't speak to the actual aptx-ll, but reviewers who used aptx-ll compatible transmitters said it works well.

With TV's, I've always wondered why they don't include a delay offset. If your bluetooth setup while watching TV has a 200ms delay, why can't the TV delay the screen 200ms... or 300ms, etc. Won't work for games, but the TV should be smart enough to know if a bluetooth device is connected or not AND allow you to configure a delay per port if one is connected. That is, if your TV from whomever is connected on HDMI1 and it detects a bluetooth headset connected delay showing the screen of say 200ms (or 300ms configurable by you). If no bluetooth connected do not put a delay. Same with DVD player if connected on HDMI2 AND bluetooth connected add a setable delay for the TV showing the screen otherwise if no bluetooth connected don't delay. If HDMI3 is an xBox do not put any delay even if bluetooth connected. Is it hard for TV manufactures to delay showing a screen 200ms or 300ms?

I just took delivery of a brand new pair of Bose SoundSport Free buds - and watching KZfaq on my iPhone via the app had the characteristic delay - and it was driving me 🥜!!!!! I did what you suggested, used the safari browser and GONE! Perfectly synced. I’m also happy that Netflix (through its app) has no latency. Thank goodness!!!! 😅

Blue tooth comes with or without low latency version. Read the specification before purchasing one. I have a low latency Bluetooth headphone and a sender unit that I can use it on my electric guitar and watch TV. Both the sender unit and the receiver( headphone) must be low latency compatible for it to work. Low latency will not work if only one unit is non low latency.

I get 300ms in KZfaq approx testing a sync test video on KZfaq both on my android phone and on my iPad Pro 11, the safari suggestion actually works. I also check chrome on my iPad and it also appears in sync.

Fyi, that android app he's talking about does have an audio latency adjustment option in it... BUT it only works for syncing up the metronome inside the app itself. The adjustment does nothing for videos you're watching, or anything else.

I dled the metronome app and played around with it, I found that it did absolutely nothing when going on youtube. The app itself you can get it in sync with what the sound and lights are doing but outside of the app it hasn't done anything

Yup, watching this with some cheap JBL Bluetooth buds and you look like this was lip synced. Plugged in my Sony wired buds and it is normal.

for those wondering, yes, the app really worked but it's tricky to get the settings right so you'll have to experiment with that

I have Samsung galaxy earbuds and when I play a video or a movie the sound does not come I have to wait like 6 seconds till the sound come any advice?

ronald steam play a video game on your xiaomi and you’ll realise that the youtube app delays video to compensate for lag.

After all these years why hasn't apple implemented aptX. What about those Bluetooth earbuds that are wired together? I guess both earbuds have the same latency
