I remember the outcry to Chris Evan's casting mainly due to his portrayal of the Human Torch. Who could've predicted that he would embody the essence of Cap and become one of the MCU's favorite characters?

Just got done watching it. It is one of the most underrated MCU films and one of the best superhero origins stories. Great review!

You absolutely hit the nail on the head. Captain America: The First Avenger will always be one of my favorite MCU films. Return of the Traditional Hero, indeed.

Looking at this movie in hindsight, it definitely managed to lay down great groundwork for the character in the MCU. And it's a hell of a lot better than the other Captain's movie right now.
