I dress my tyres with a brush, having tried sponges but prefer the ease of use, application and finish I get from bristles. My preferred product is Autoglym Rubber Plus. I use a decorators plastic paint pot with two compartments, one for the product and another in which to stand the brush after use so the brush isn’t standing in product. It also has a brush hole above each compartment so you can seal the pot and prevent / reduce spillage, and there’s a brush groove in the divider so you can wipe off the excess product. Bought from B & Q, this for me was a game changer. I’m no longer in the trade but still use these products and method on my own cars.

As a bit of a hack, I currently used an old shoe shine sponge, which comes with the reservoir into which I dip the sponge (it's also the lid, which keeps the sponge damp) for any tyre solution used. I did used to use the brush and dip method during my professional days though. Back then, I put the solution in the equivalent of a tupperware container to keep any leftover solution.

After trying all sorts of applicators, for the last 4 years I have been using dollar store green scrub sponges on the soft side to apply dressing. It costs 10 cents per sponge and they last a long time. It:s really fast to apply too, about 20 seconds per tire. I don't use a gel. I use Meguiars All season dressing, a liquid dressing that I spray into the sponge. It uses very little product, about 4 sprays per tire so a liter bottle lasts for months in my detailing business. I always use a microfiber towel to wipe down the excess after I am done with all 4 tires. The last thing I want is for the dressing to sling all over the detailed car!

These type of brushes are great for cleaning emblems especially when paired with water spot remover. They are firm enough for scrubbing but delicate enough that they won't scratch...perfect! I use one for dressing leather and I also have one for cleaning around all the buttons and fiddly bits on the dashboard/instrument panel.

I have the carscope version of this, I have had it about 4 years now all the bristles come away around the outside. To be fair it gets used on my 4x4 tyres… not so good with meguires ultimate, but works well with car pro Perl neat, IW candy, and watery ones like M&K tyre go all over your hands like you say 😂

I bought three of these from Car Scope at the start of Lock Down and have never looked back even giving one to a car detailer as a wee gift. I have never had an issue with hair loss apart from my own head and unless I am changing product I have never rinsed it out. In my opinion the detailing product of the Century.

I use Tenzi Gum Extra high gloss tyre dressing. 1L trigger spray for 18.99. I use half of a yellow car wash sponge to apply. I flip cars for a side hustle and it’s plenty good enough for that. I also apply the same way on my own car.

Incase you didn’t know :)) I love mine, also with regards to getting the gel on the bottom of the tyres I watched a video on a product that’s designed to go under the wheels so you don’t get your knuckles scraped off I’ll see if I can find the link, maybe you could do a review on them! :)

Well.. normally I don't give away my personal secrets.. BUT.. I like your channel and I'll give you guy's a freebe.. what I use may shock a few people but here it is.. stoner care trimshine in the spray can. It sprays very accurately and believe it or not, I have tried NEARLY EVERY TIRE DRESSING ON THE MARKET. And I come back to trimshine every time!!! Just haven't found anything better. It isn't over shinny, it does not fling off, dust does not stick to it and it lasts just as long or longer than any iso2 I have tried and best of all it takes me around 15 seconds a wheel or less. And if there happens to be be an area that I oversprayed a little I take a (another secret) tile sponge that I cut into 3 pieces to remove any extra. Or to apply to any tight places I spray it directly on to the sponge.. DON'T BELIEVE ME? give it a try I promise you.. You will switch and never look back..

For God's sake that is not bird but Pterodactyl drops ! Did you ever go to Jurassik Park Dave 🤣! Seems like british bird have hell of a intestinal transit 😆 Ok, back to the brush itself. I'd like to say it really gives you an even finish on the tires, especially if you've got a lot of lettering, grooves or whatnot. Personnaly, I am more a tire hex grip applicator combined with Gyeon Q2 Tire guy, to be honest. Nevertheless, always nice to have a feedback from professionals and car enthusiasts from all around the planet. Cheers mate 😉 Gregg

Looking forward to a bird poo video. Bird poo is my most hated thing about keeping my black car in good condition. Going off topic there though , back to the tyre applicator , I just use a jumbo cut up sponge with KKD bumper and tyre liquid. I always have to roll the tyres 90 degrees as I always feel the bottom part that is in contact with the ground never gets a proper application.

Like seabirds would have a real salty diet while woodland birds would be more into berries, etc. You know where I'm coming from Dave. I think this bird poo video needs good investigation because just think where the people with a good motors live. Then you'll have the city slickers different birds could be 2 are more videos. Make sure you keep an eye on what products and over the time duration. That poo can do some serious damage to a high value motor. Great video my friend ❤
