I think carti is doing his own version of glo beats, cardo puts his touch on it with the cowbell but the dark melodies mixed with the choppy snares and crashes/open hates are glo inspired and mansion musik by trippie redd feat carti is a spot on glo beat and it was cartis first song with the deep voice so i think glo beats are what he's going for imo

You Said its "genius" and "changing the Sound of Rap" literally all of this stuff has been done for years. Its a new direction for carti for Sure but compared to smth like WLR its actually all rather Classic Trap production choices. I Hope you dont really mean to Tell me that having A and B parts in music/Beats is new or can even be considered a technique.
@prodkxvi
@prodkxvi Ай бұрын
@@albertobalsalm3473 I’m not saying that technique is changing rap 😂 carti has a ton of copycats and working in the industry I keep getting asked by big artists for that new carti sound. Think about how many people hopped on that WLR sound, now this new sound he’s on is catching, so my guess is a lot of people are gonna hop on this wave to. Y’all take everything too literally 😂 it’s just a tutorial video

I think you were on the right track with the rhythm part, the part you called theelody because you have no idea wtf You're talking about, but anyways.... 😳... Using a stuttering phaser, adding digital distortion and reverb with the room too big but the volume almost off are the big trucks to getting the sound you were after. THEN, you have to use panning techniques (I prefer pancake 2 cuz it's free) to make the different parts move around a little bit. Idk how your daw works, but in reason, on the hats in most presets, you can set it to bend the pitch based on velocity. Then when you lay down the hats, they are pressure sensitive and the lighter you tap, the more they detune. Drying the snare helps too. The hats should have accents on the 'ands' and on the 'e's meaning when you count it: 1 e and e 2 e and e 3 e and e... Or on the 'uh's of the triplet like: 1 e uh 2 e uh 3 e uh 4 e uh... That's another thing, triplets and 3/4 time get used to create the bounce with paradiddles

idk the sycnopation is cool for these tracks, but not every rapper that raps in 1/4, and then goes to 1/8 and then triplets will be able to do that and sound good in pocket. shot out to minor 2nds, you trap producers love. sampling the wrong shit, should start sampling/ figuring out classical music thats half the melodies you all love.
