"Kick me off the court again boi"- that sums it up by Curry who was about to practice at the Toyota centre the night before the game but was kicked off the court by Chris Paul. Chris Paul is a high IQ point guard but the problem is he thinks he's too clever. He's always up to dirty shenanigans and antics instead of focusing on beating his opponents with skill.
@MrBrachiatingApe

I think given the severity of injuries he's risked inflicting on fellow players (and as a player's union leader!) calling the dirty, dirty shit he pulls 'shenanigans' undertells it. Harden's flopping and foul-hunting--that's shenanigans. CP3 is just a damn dirty player willing to permanently injure other players, and for what?

Future hall of fame point guard coached by Mike D'Antoni who never reached the NBA finals. -Steve Nash -Chris Paul D'Antoni is one of the best coaches in NBA history on offense, but his defense is really subpar and he tends to not make adjustments when necessary. Speaking as a '00s Suns fan here.

@raavila2245 5 жыл бұрын
@@allenreyes8640 he's great imo in the sense that he builds an entire team's offense around an MVP-caliber player's strength. Nash and Harden have very different play styles so he's not just recycling a system like most NBA coaches do. I mean, it gets wins (in the regular season at least) so I wouldn't say he's an innefective coach, but I admit it's very risky because of his weakness. The team can only go as far as their best player can take them.
@allenreyes8640

Romar Angelo Avila yeah, I can respect that. Im not saying he’s terrible. My main issue with him is probably he can be stubborn at times or maybe hes just not flexible (kept shooting threes when they werent hitting last year, and kept switching when warriors were abusing it by slipping screens this year) I mean theres a reason his teams never got to the finals.

@CLOROX BLEACH I'm not saying LeBron had to average 100 points a game...But his case against MJ as the GOAT was hurt by continuously losing in the Finals...LeBron is 3-6 in the Finals...If you go back and watch those Finals matchups, he definitely could've pulled off winning 2 more of those chips (2011 and 2015), and have 5 titles to his name, instead of 3...LeBron is still one of the greats...But his potential legacy as the GOAT was denied by losing in the Finals...With LeBron having 5 rings, 4 MVPs, and eventually #1 on the All-Time Scoring List, his credentials would be right there with MJ

I think he’s a great player and I appreciate everything he’s contributed to the game. I started thinking about this recently but he’s done nothing from when I first started watching basketball to now. He’s played on great teams and had several chances to take the next step but either got hurt, or simply under performed when it matters most. People need to stop making excuses for him and they just gotta accept that he’s not that guy. Stockton choked in those finals - especially in 1998. He was a no show (I’m only comparing him to his LEGENDARY career and how he played throughout the playoffs UNTIL the finals). With that said, quit comparing CP3 to Stockton.

Magic, Oscar, and Curry are the only PGs who are clearly better (ability) and greater (ability+achievement+accolades) all time. Ability wise CP3 is better than all the others as a two way star who can facilitate, score efficiently, and defend. He is also pretty solid in the playoffs, but either his teammates under perform or he is injured. Achievement wise he just lags behind pretty much all the greats. Stockton - 2 finals appearances, clutch playoff performer, and all time assist/steals leader. Frazier - two way star and 2 time champion. Thomas - leader of 2 time champion. Cousy - OG PG, 1 MVP, 6 time champion. Nash - 2 MVPs, great passer and shooter. Kidd - Facilitator and defender, 3 finals, and a past prime chip. Payton - two way star, 2 finals, DPOY, and a way past prime chip. Westbrook - Two way star, triple double machine, 1 MVP, 1 finals. I'd say in terms of greatness Paul is on the Stockton, Frazier, Thomas tier despite not having as much success. Unsure of Cousy since the NBA was so different back then. I think he is greater than Nash, Kidd, Payton and Westbrook.

Makar Zorklin save all this BS. I noticed how you commented that EITHER his TEAMMATES underperform or he’s injured as if he’s NEVER underperformed. I remember against the Jazz he decided against even showing up in game 7. That loss solidified his legacy as an underachiever IMO. Everything else just been icing on the cake. Game 7 at home and you get blown off the court while only putting up 13 points? Keep in mind CP3 stole the show in game 6 by scoring 29 points.

@@atlien1988 I don't call one bad game in a series under performing, win or lose. Everyone has bad games. He played well that series as a whole. The Jazz just played better. Also Blake Griffin was injured so it was an uphill battle once he went down and missed games 4-7. If Paul managed to win the series without Griffin sure, it would have boosted his legacy. But I don't fault him when he is a primary facilitator and the best scorer on the team goes down.

Chris Paul’s worst PPG / APG / FG% in single series have all come either against the only 60-win team he faced or one of the only 2 eventual NBA Finalists he faced. Clear evidence he can only put up big playoff numbers against 2nd or 3rd rate teams.

It's a shame how critical we fans are about some great players. Chris Paul's legacy already speaks for itself. And it is so cruel how we turn on certain great players when they still don't have that coveted ring during the later stages of their careers. We fans all know how we turned on Karl Malone, John Stockton, Charles Barkley and Patrick Ewing. Heck David Robinson could have been on the list of ringless greats as well if he wasn't sidelined for almost a whole season, as the great Tim Duncan drops into the laps of the Spurs the next year. I don't think we fans truly understand how hard it is to win an NBA title. Magic Johnson and Larry Bird made it look almost too easy. And unfortunately, that's how some of us measure basketball greatness.

Does anyone remember 2009 Playoffs between the Hornets and the Nuggets? One of worst playoffs game in NBA history. Cp3 was with the Hornets and they lost by more than 50 pts.

The 3-1 collapse has to be up there as the greatest hit to Paul's legacy, but you also have to remember that the Clippers were losers. They just got rid of Donald Sterling, but their losing aura and stench was still apparent because the franchise was so concerned about being loved, respected and worshiped like Lakers when they should have just competed. Steve Ballmer's greatest move was hiring Jerry West, who taught the Clippers how to run a basketball organization properly, and have since then become the more wiser, with many lessons learned from their past. The real legacy hit to Paul was his first ever regular season ejection this season. Rajon Rondo spat on Paul's face, leading to both players throwing punches. During their suspensions, Rondo called out Paul for his nice-guy image, exposing him as a fake tough guy and evil person who would do everything to win a championship at all cost. I have a saying: "Preseason games can only be used against you." What happened in the regular season transpired into the playoffs; Paul bumps into a referee while arguing a call, and got thrown in Game 1. His ejection, a technical foul, erased all hope of the Rockets tying the game to trigger overtime and get another shot to win Game 1. Paul already has a laundry list of character defects including cheap shots, flopping, complaining to referees, instigating fights like the Rockets-Clippers locker room fiasco last season and even causing them like his feud with Rondo. They all add up to one thing: Paul feels threatened whenever somebody tries to steal his title as best point guard of all time. Rosalyn Gold-Onwude on Twitter opined that some players are afraid to win, even when the opportunity is right there for the taking. They'll play well statistically, but the will to win isn't present. Paul falls into that category. His competitive drive is a double-edged sword: it's welcome if you can contain it, but Paul's eagerness makes him a scorched-earth player. You mentioned in the video that he might have to join the Warriors, and while I do agree, it's only true if Durant stays and the dynasty continues. If the Warriors break up, Paul will have to live with the underachiever label for years to come... unless he can admit all his failures and channel his drive into something productive. There are examples: it's all up to him to find it.

The only bad games I remember CP3 ever having in the playoffs were some games this year. Most of the time, an injury to an important player, or running into another Western Conference juggernaut ended his season short. Basketball is a team sport after all. The Rockets just need to keep their team, if anything, get back Ariza. They just have to play better and be patient. Their window is still open for a few more years. The Mavericks were patient, added more, and everyone played great and they became champions. The Warriors are a different kind of beast, but let’s not act like the Rockets didn’t have a chance.

Sometimes in sports you throw away stats and you seem players that know how to win and players that know how to lose. Some players just find a way to win and Chris Paul is a player that always finds a way to lose. That’s the separation
