Even with such an articulate answer he fails to mention New Pension scheme is introduced by Congress and Manmohan wrote it. And they are worried about destitute 1% of government employees while taking 50% to fund these pensions in Kerala What about the remaining 99% If in India we do not social safety net What about these 99% non govt employees for the last 75 years? Who elects the government 1% or 100%? Mr Tharoor mentioned new pension scheme will leave pensioners destitute But the fact remains no pensioner under the new shceme has yet retired It is still hypothetical

Why pension at all!! A few percent of people get pension funded by the rest of the population. Why can't the system of pension be confined to armed & police force? And introduce pension to one and all. This will be a fair play.
