My moment was actually seeing Bill Maher live and ironically, John Oliver live a year before that. Bill just kept doing his Real Time shtick but not in a fancy suit and became the most forgettable hour of anything I had to sit through. John Oliver, on the other hand, talked no politics and went on the whackiest tirade of international cultures, outlooks, and how French Pidgeons embody what it means to be French.

If that's all it is, Schneider's bracket doesn't have a ton of followers to make it work We have a sea of comedians on this platform known as influencers. Explaining the joke is peak comedy, or it would seem so with all the reaction videos. Everybody wants in on the discussion Breaking things down that way can work, it would just seem to work best when you hold the clipboard as opposed to doing a bit. Schneider's career seems to have been being rolled up in the gig economy. It's not really his life's work, showing us the scope of humor. He's usually just the buffoon His bit is literally the Waterboy/Nicky character. He's the part of us that wants to blurt, but normally we wait for the idiot with no impulse control We're _probably_ all thinking the same thing, but nobody is that stupid to try the mob, except...

Stewart Lee has made a career out of doing a similar thing to Tim's "An evening with tim heidecker" special, if you havn't seen any of his specials (or the series he did for the bbc) i'd recommend trying to find them. One of his recurring bits is telling a joke, it not getting a laugh or as much of a laugh as he wanted, then stopping the show to explain the joke to the audience in a patronising manner, scolding them for not getting the joke.

I usually find Tim's comedy doesn't hit for me. Its not that he's never funny, but often his material is somewhere in the land of committing too hard to not going hard enough or just going really hard on something that wasn't interesting enough to go hard on. @@alexanderdunning6586I don't think right-wing comedy is only funny when it's being parodied, just like left-wing comedy isn't only funny when it is made fun of. It all just depends on who is delivering the jokes. Shane Gillis is a hilarious comedian who is right leaning. It's funny because he's criticized in this video for his "incredibly racist jokes" getting him fired from SNL and at the time of writing, he's hosting in a couple weeks. It's crazy for a company to publicly fire someone for being "too racist to work here" and then bring them back to run things a couple years later. I love Shane, that's just a really odd move for SNL.

@@NondescriptMammal - Yeah, nobody uses the word correctly, it's just a proxy for vague ageism. I'm not proud of the fact, but Schneider and his fanbase are Generation X. Which means precisely nothing anyhow.

New to the channel here, thanks for a great video! Sorely disappointed by the lack of fish (dead ones mentioned by bad "comedians" don't count), and slightly tired of non-paradoxical things being labeled as paradoxes (even in a jokey way). But other than that, 10/10, would recommend.

I was really sad when Tim lost the election. :( He would have been a great district attorney for San Bernardino county. I'm also really excited for this video!
