This video answered some of my questions from the first one. :-) You certainly had the right connections to get into trucking. At first, I thought you went straight to being an O/O which takes a lot of courage. I wasn't thinking about being an O/O until I've got 2-3 years experience with a company. I don't have anyone as a mentor, so I'm going in raw and alone. I'll be documenting my journey as well. I've been delayed due to a tooth problem of my own. It was a microfracture that went into my nerves and hurt like heck! They pulled it a few days ago, so I'm doing better. I'm trying to get back on track with the recruitment process. My next step is the DOT physical, which is probably my biggest fear. I'm healthy and rarely get sick, but there are still a few issues beyond my control that I don't want to be judged on. Everything is medically treated, but still.. the physical makes me nervous. I'm not worried about getting my CLP. I've been studying like mad. Red is also my favorite color. Do you have any plans to paint your truck and trailer red or designed with a red theme? What is the name of your book? It'll make for some good reading when I'm eventually on the road.

I had a lot of support and guidance going into this and would not be able to do what I am doing without it

Yooo bro just the Red Mercedes inspired me no lie imma become an owner operator. I want to have a set-up just like yours 2 trucks. I saw the Income and I don't have any responsibilities and I already want to work 60 to 70h days ND eventually want to transition out of into real estate. I have 3 years worth of yard goat/hostler experience I can park anything anywhere blindside single parking too. From 20 to 53's Tap in with me when u have time I want to learn and succed in the industry. So I can save up and I'm always frugal and have generational wealth in my head. I'm getting my CDL class a permit in 2morrow & I'm ready! Tap in when you can fam I look forward to learning.

Keep up the great content! I see that you have a reefer trailer. Do you book dry van loads? Meaning, do brokers ever say no to you because you have reefer instead of a dry van?
@KenVTRF2 жыл бұрын
Yes sometimes, but there is a restriction. It must be a load that can be either or, most dry van loads can't go in reefer trailers because of weight and the insulation. Reefers weigh more because of the engine.

Maybe at some point in the future but I could not imagine driving an electric truck. Would be too afraid that it would die in the mountains, would also fear an insufficient amount of charging stations, also extremely expensive!

My question is why the hell did you get a college degree in a field you knew you would never use why would you pay for that what is the reasoning behind it because I see a lot of people your age older and younger willing to do that then kissing moan about always the debt once they've realized that they don't want the job that comes with the education please explain that in a video if you will
@KenVTRF3 жыл бұрын
School taught me discipline and built character. Also my degree is in psychology which means I understand the mind at a very scientific level. I use the information that I learned from psychology everyday. It’s about the bigger picture. My degree wasn’t for a job it was to develop a skillet and understanding because if you understand the mind, your powers are limitless. Also I’m not in any debt from school. Didn’t take out one student loan. Plus eventually I will go back and get my PhD so it’s not for a job it’s for status, discipline and skills.
