She was super talented but that one mood swing she had totally ruined her for life. The weird thing is her staff around always liked her. This is so different from korea where an actress can ace it infront of the cameras but have mood swings to staff and even bully ppl around her AND threaten and manipulate her bf and be abusive and still one of the most loved actresses (I'm talking about the actress who got her bf to be weird to Seohyun)

Erika’s been through a lot. She had to deal with two major losses (Her Dad and her brother) at such a young age and was forced to grow up quickly and was also catapulted into the harsh world of the industry. She didn’t even have time to recover or cope with her unresolved trauma; which is why it seems she struggled with her moods and drug abuse. With the marriage scandal, it’s hypocritical how the Japanese society would hate on her for those conditions when cheating is generally normalized there.

@@dumdum7099 No, I've said that cheating is generally normalized in Japan. Not the conditions her marriage had. Which in my opinion, is smart of her. Considering there are other women out there getting cheated on like that without any compensation.

@@michellev4439 Men knows what accountability is. - If he cheats he got fined top dollars. Accountability. - What if she cheats? Zero fine, no accountability. - What about her doing her marital duty? Don't want to, pay me money instead. Again, zero accountability. - What about if your idol is a rotten and damaged human being? She's a female therefore she can't be in the wrong. 1 liter of Tears is one of the best dramas ever (it'sa masterpiece even by today'sstandards). I cried buckets of tears for days because of that drama. Even after finishing every episode.

I feel for her. It seems like she felt smothered by her fame and the strictness of the Japanese entertainment industry. I’m sure the stress of loosing her father & brother, and then entering into the predatory entertainment system at such a young g age, tied into the usage of substances. Celebrities should be allowed to express their boundaries and hard comings without backlash.

She was an incredibly talented actress. Actresses in Japan are held to such high standards, such a small thing such as acting a little uninterested can ruin someone’s life. She went through a lot, any sane person would make mistakes too. Male actors can get away with anything while women are held to the highest standards that are almost impossible to meet and get punished for everything.

When you learned about her life, it's a little wonder that she ended up like this. She was so young when her father ran away and then died, she had to work in one of the dirtiest industry and again lost another member of her family. Seeing how successful she was at such a young age, I wouldn't be surprised if even the rest of her family and closest friends started to treat her like a cash cow or straight up using her for fame. That's why I'm against young people working in entertainment, especially those without good parents/ guardians.

I don’t care how pretty she is, she sounds messed up. That marriage contract was cringe, and I find it highly unlikely that she has a personality willing to force her husband to a contract like for sex but then turn around and claim to be the victim not once but twice (had a terrible time in London with hints at abuse but then still married him - says her husband had the paparazzi demands though she seems to be the one who favors micromanaging lists). Sounds highly manipulative.
